Great buggy/crawler, this has to be one of the funnest 4x4's I have driven. Very fast and durable. look for the power, speed test with the stock lithium ion battery compared to the lipo. let me say what a major difference, video coming soon.

Loved it! 👍 I knew you'd like this one bro, I'll have to fix up my dead 12428-C as I miss driving it.. Was my fave rock Racer basher and I had fun drag racing my mates Simmo & Johnny those few times against their Nitro 1/8 scale trucks.. With the A979B/A959B 2s lipos she twists the chassis and pulls a wheel stand from a dig for 20m not a problem.. Big thumbs up on this review Bro. Also do yourself a favour and try this tx on your 979B truck.. I bet it will bind and work.. Like I had success with using my 12428-C controller cheers 🍻

Great review Donny! I have this buggy. I use SYMA X8 2s batteries (modified to deans connectors) in this beast. Make sure you load the diffs with plenty of grease. Rock on brother. Was that music from Red?

Big drone flyer77 yep. I am running 2s 2500mah lipos. Plenty of bash time. I probably wouldn't run a 3s in this car....

Big drone flyer77 if you're referring to me Donnie, I did connect a 3s and thought I fried it remember? lmfao😂, but it ran again on 2s lipo from the 979B 👍 I later killed mine from thrashing it to the Max on every run at the bmx track lol

The one thing that I really like about that buggy is that it isnt covered in a bog body. Less things to trash in a rollover. Look like it lots of fun. :) Question... I know the rim is plastic, but is that center hub made of metal? or is it plastic painted to look metal? Thanks for the ride along Donnie Great review. :)

I am on the fence. I am torn on what to buy. I am either going to get the WLTOYS 12428 or the ZD Racing ZMT - 10 / 10427 - S / 9106 1/10. I know the ZD racing is a little more but it is on sale right now and is only about 40--45$ more when all said and done. I am into race quads so have all the chargers etc so I was considering getting an RC truck and a good transmitter like the RadioLink RC6GS 2.4G 6CH. I need help in choosing. They are both very good and I will probably end up getting both eventually but really like them both. Again what would you get? I assume the 12428 could handle a brushless motor and ESC? Just curious if anyone has done this before? Thanks man
Parts are cheap for both of them. I have burnt out the differentials on both 4x4's. I like the wltoys better. You can modify it for cheap.
@@BIGDRONEFLYER77RC Cool. I actually ended up going with the ZD racing 9016..the newer one with the upgraded parts in it. I will end up getting the WLTOYS next for sure anyways. The ZD was on a crazy sale and the other wasn't so I figured why not. The ZD is supposed to have upgraded metal parts so hopefully, this one lasts. lol
