Fun fact about Mirrorjade: he is the only fusion made by Albaz that is not a dragon, and this is because, lore wise, he didn't use his "fusion power" to transform. In fact, at that point in the story, he LOST his power and he transforms only because Chengying and Cosmochlor gave him their power before dying, letting him beat Longyang. Of course, being transformed by the power of the Swordsouls, he temporarily become a wyrm
Rindbrumm the Striking Dragon, Brigrand the Glory Dragon and Sprind the Irondash Dragon are not dragons either, they are Winged Beast, Beast and Machine. tho Rindbrumm and Sprind are just piloted by albaz, Brigrand was made by albaz and still isnt a dragon

I wish we got Albaz story mode in Master Duel, that would be so much awesome lore to soak up.

If they want to always have a big story line ongoing they may do that (or the Luster Pendulum/True Draco thing, if they helped make sense of it, it would be cool too)

Honestly, those prize card prices at the end sound like someone preparing to run an insurance scam.
We Josh viewer knew how terrific he is with guessing card prices.....
I got petit dragon instantly, solely because it is the very first yugioh card I ever had in my life. I never thought that that random memory of my first ever card would be useful, but here it is.
I also got it, because I've seen A LOT about the charmers lately, and Wynn's first familiar is Petite dragon.
Castle of Dark Illusion adds up to 2850 combined ATK and DEF, making it dividable by 50 though :( And I also thought you forgot Dark Chimera, a card I love cause of it's weird stats, but apparently it never released in the TCG, only OCG and Master Duel xD

TEARLAMENTS won every YCS while it was completely legal(8 overall sinse Mama) making it the single most successful Tear 0 deck of all time

I really liked the questions here. They weren't too easy and you could Tell somebody actually thought a decent amount of time to come up with these. Also the competitors not knowing a bunch of them is also more entertaining that way. Good Job :)
I realized mirrorjade wasn't a dragon when I tried to use ice dragons prison on it....
It's a crime this channel still doesn't have more subs
The only reason why I know Mirrorjade is a Wyrm is becouse when I used to play it in Branded Dragon maid you can't use it as material to go into your bigger dragon fusion with Dragonmaid Changeover

Looking it up on Yugipedia, it released in Japan, in the old videogames, in Duel Links and in Masterduel but not in the TCG, WTF?
There are a bunch of obscure vanilla monsters that never got a TCG release.
since the TCG came months after the OCG, some of the old vanillas were just never printed cause' there was not reason to. I believe the first TCG set was a mix of the first 3 or 4 OCG sets (I'm not that sure though), so many high stat vanillas were already included in the first months of the TCG rather than released in later sets and keep power creeping the lower early monsters, e.g the OCG, which is also why there are so many just terrible low stat monsters while there were already plenty of cards that have 1600-1800ATK.

I like questions where the answers are numbers, so you can drop hints about at least 2-3 of the things (if the number we are looking for is higher than 4) to give more context to both participants and viewers. Even mentioning a specific one like the Castle or Pumpkin wouldn't help the participants too, too much.

10:25 why is it a dragon? cause lore
in the relevant part of the story the fallen of albaz absorbed the power of the swordsouls who get their weapons and powers from the icejades to transform into mirrorjade
whenever albaz absorbed something or took over powers his type changed to match the power (brigrand is a beast using tri-brigade and sprind is a machine using springans) therefor mirrorjade is a wyrm matching the swordsouls
It's a dragon cause it's a dragon. Wyrms are just dragons with more snake-like qualities. It also translates to "Phantom Dragon" in japanese. You don't need to understand Yu-Gi-Oh! lore to know this.
If anything, brigrand and sprind should be the two monsters more deserving of this confusion due to their typing.

All Albaz Fusions are called dragons (which can be noted even by people without any idea of the related lore).
That the Wyrm Mirrorjade is in fact thematically a dragon, too, is only an additional reason Leonie missed.

With the question 4, if you dig into the OCG, there is also a card called Dark Chimera, with 1610 ATK
5:32 in the OCG there's also dark chimera with 1610/1460. It was printed in 2000 but for some reason never made it to the TCG
The question asked for combined stats so it technically doesn't fit either way

I thought that Earthbound Immortal Wiraqocha Rasca would qualify for the question 4 but then I discovered that it has 100 ATK/DEF, not 1 like in the anime.

8:42 I looked at current prices, but are from TCGMarket, not Cardmaket. The prices as of late july 2024 were this:
Number 17: 32.74 USD
Lunar eclipse: 27.69 USD
Zephyr: 29.35 USD
Black winged Dragon: *Still around 60 US,* and no, is not a legal on Edison to explain those prices unlike the other 4 signer dragons who do see play there (and Tool Boox dragon, who is not a dragon nor sees play, in good part due to not being a dragon). Is the cheapest of the signer dragon's starlight btw, the other 2 (Black Rose and Stardust) are over 200 USD; I guess people just love signer dragons and prefer the ghost rare mutant crow.
PS: No, is because non-fusion HERO cards are a heresy, and so is being called E⭐HERO instead of Elemental HERO or E-HERO.

True, but you never deal with both stats from a single card at the same time. Attack versus opponents LP or monster defense. Castle of Dark Illusions is the only one of the 6 that messes with the math on both attack and defense.
Apparently they missed Dark Chimera, so if we remove Castle, then Dark Chimera fills the spot for 6

? stats are taken to be zero in the deck (wherever the corresponding effect to give them stats doesn't apply, I suppose) and zero is clearly divisible by every number except itself.
But the monsters that are not divisible is 7

The audio and editing in this episode seem considerably worse than usual. Microphones echoing, cutting to dialogue without context, and cuts while people are still speaking directly into Adam speaking. It’s still good content, but I’m wondering what was going on here, since normally everything is fine.
