Britney got me into showing interest for music production in general, and I just find so educational and entertaining having you go through all the stems and tracks that make such good pop masterpieces. Keep 'em going!
Omg same I just started dabbling in music about 10 years ago; which I guess is not recent but in comparison to musicians that started like at 4 years old; I'm late lol And these videos of Britney's production really help.
Woah Fernando! thats a really lovely compliment thank you so much! I really enjoy going through them. theres more to come. ill keep them coming for sure.
While there is no credited background vocalist on the track I will admit, some layers sound like either Nikesha Briscoe (one of the songwriters/producers on Womanizer) OR Keri Hilson (someone that contributed heavily to the Blackout album with writing/background vocals) Either way, this was the start of Britney's conservatorship and Britney had very little (if any) control of her life let alone who would be credited on her album. Also, for people talking poorly of her vocal abilities----what does that accomplish? This record and many, many, many others of hers sold many, many, many copies. Her voice may not be operatic or your cup of tea but it is distinctive. She has vocal style unparalleled to others. Hating on her accomplishments accomplishes nothing for you and will never take away her success.
25:59 I believe the background vocalist is Cathy Dennis. She is an ICON! We have her to thank for Come Into My World, Can’t Get You Outta My Head, and Red Blooded Woman by Kylie, and Toxic, Womanizer by Britney Spears.
I heard that she was having trouble with her freedom and refused to record or finish the album and they got someone else to finish it for her. She really been through hell bless her.
So, what’s going on with the voices is a production technique that is not usually used, but basically, the instruments are so detuned that perfectly tuned vocals would stick out like a sore thumb. So if you noticed, all Britney’s vocals are pitchy except for the main one and the backup vocals are also pitchy in certain words. That’s just to have the vocals detuned to match the instruments
I *think* the BG vox are K Briscoe (one of the outsiders team) and her demo is here (probably played on IG live, as there’s some yelling) th-cam.com/video/FD1YdP_zEow/w-d-xo.html This song always makes me a little depressed because you can hear that Britney wasn’t into it (or maybe I’m reading into that) as it was her first single under the conservatorship. I have always loved that bridge, and her nearly British vocal deliver!
Yo that was pure Atmos glory. Man I'd love to listen to it in full Atmos whilst I'm thinking of Carrie Schaffer. The girl from Southern California I told ya this reminds me of. Say were these WAV files? What was the sample rate and bit depth?
I absolutely promise this to you i will. I have it, it's just in Pro tools limbo on an old computer currently. maybe i should make it a subscriber goal? haha nah i wouldn't do that to you.
Ive got that in pieces at the moment i need to reconstruct it because the files are all different shapes and sizes. maybe ill do a live stream one day as i piece it together.
oooooOOOOOOOoOOOOOOHHHH hahaha i actually have a set of stems from the TV series in the 80s from the BBC Archive if you ever want a 5 minute episode let me know.
@@funkyal888 hahah yes!! thanks Alex! i still believe Jason Statham should be the new PITBULL AND FEATURE ON EVERYONES SONGS but his shoutout should be EPINEPHRINE!!
There was always a “conspiracy” (I use the term loosely) that her backup singer, Myah Marie sang a lot of vocals for her later albums. Now knowing all the craziness with her dad, it wouldn’t surprise me. I mean, they had her heavily drugged so I think it’s likely that a lot of vocals weren’t SOLEY hers for a period wether it was her choice or not? 😕
I strongly recommend Hold It Against me by Britney. You’re going to be blown away and I MEAN IT!
YESSS that production is crazy
i second this! the production is so satisfying on that song
Yeas please

I havent come across Hold it against me yet! i will keep my eyes peeled for it! thanks so much for watching Juancho!
didn't see anyone comment, but i believe it's keri hilson on backup vocals. she did backup vocals for her here and the blackout album

这个工程文件貌似不是最终版,编曲里面的乐器跟最终发行版差很多。这个应该只是个demo。

That other chick ain’t Britney.. FYI LOL 😂

You only have to listen to the demo of Toxic by Cathy Dennis to realise how little Britney added to it with her horrible baby voice.
I feel like the episode of black mirror with Miley Cyrus was trying to tell us something about that situation too.
@@MarthaMansbridge listen to the demo of the song Toxic in Britney's voice and see that she used her iconic voice in ALL of the song!
@@MarthaMansbridge the baby voice was forced by her label at the time. her real voice is more similar to Christina Aguilera’s.
27:42 yup that’s definitely was Britney singing
