Hi, I am confused as to why the project panel doesn't change when I am using the line to get to the project panel and connect it. This confuses me. This is around the 3:40 minute mark. Please help.
thanks...this is exactly what I was looking for...is there a way to add automation to this animation? 😁 I have an Elgato stream deck...is there a way to use keystrokes to do everything you showed or same this as a pre-comp that I can use over and over with the press of a button? Thanks!
Vistu Tutorial I would use Premiere Pro for any edit where you’re just piecing together clips and maybe simple graphic stuff like lower thirds. But as soon as you want any motion graphic or advanced text effects, I would go to After Effects. There are tools and effects that Premiere just can’t offer.
Great explanation. I followed along and everything went smooth, *until* the arrow part. Holding down shift, dragging the "pick whip", I hit space bar to preview the project, and the arrow dances around like crazy. I would love some advice if possible! :) I rewatched it, and started over again, still no luck. Idk if it is anchor points related or what. Thanks!
Did this ever get answered? I have the same problem, the arrow head follows the path, but not on top of it. Instead it follows offset from the path. I held shift while dragging the pick whip to the Null layer.
At some point after pickwhipping Alt+End, Null object stopped moving, but I kept working on the next 3-4 arrows I needed, and after a while all of them started moving perfectly. So it actually works! Makes me so happy!! 😁
Make sure you create another shape layer. Had the same problem and noticed I had created a shape mask on the Null/Path layer instead of a new shape layer.
Unfortunately when I make the "Create from Null Path" appears it doesn't show the option "Trace Path", only "Points Follow Nulls" and "Nulls Follow Points". I'm using the last version tough. Any idea where can I find the "Trace Path" Option?
If you don't drag with the mouse and only click with the pen tool, that's all you need to do to make sure the line is straight. What the shift key does in addition to that is to constrain the angle to 45 degrees, so in this case it ensures the line is 100% horizontal.
Hi, thanks for the tutorial! I am struggling with one thing. Maybe someone can help me out. When I place the arrow to the traced path it keeps pointing the wrong way until it finished the animated line. When the line is finished it is suddenly pointing the right way. Please help!
@@TechInfusion Thanks for the quick response. My question is perhaps a bit newbie. I did however try to do exactly what you did. The following i wonder about. I seem to not be able to create a line using shift so i can not make a straight line. But it's easy enough to just pull it so it's pixel perfect manualy. Secondly, when i pull out this line. It does not have a mass? like a thickness like yours does. It's more like a razersharp edge. If i click more times it will eventually get a mass. (inbetween 3 points) that i was selected. So insetad of using thsi method i had just created a plain color background and pulled it into a thin line which i than animate by using a mask. I tried the options to see if there was some option to create a thickness when it is just 2 points. Like 1 pixel thick or 2 pixels. But i did not find this. Or i completely missed it. It does feel like i am missing something increadibly basic... Going to give it another go tomorrow.
Thanks for watching! What would you like to learn next?

Can u tell the difference between after effects and premier pro, what is for what work

Me too, I place the pick whip, but the line stays still, doesn't follow the null. Actually null doesn't move..
At some point after pickwhipping Alt+End, Null object stopped moving, but I kept working on the next 3-4 arrows I needed, and after a while all of them started moving perfectly. So it actually works! Makes me so happy!! 😁
Make sure you create another shape layer. Had the same problem and noticed I had created a shape mask on the Null/Path layer instead of a new shape layer.
the answer for me was: center the anchor of the triangle shape (alt+command+home) and then pickwhip to the null object
Unfortunately when I make the "Create from Null Path" appears it doesn't show the option "Trace Path", only "Points Follow Nulls" and "Nulls Follow Points". I'm using the last version tough. Any idea where can I find the "Trace Path" Option?
Thank you very much! Good lesson. Keep going!
Nice tutorial man

Super handy info man.... If only I wanted to make my own intro... Hmmm
Haha you should!
it is better if you zoom when refer to click on property shape nul, poly tks.

When I place the arrow to the traced path it keeps pointing the wrong way until it finished the animated line. When the line is finished it is suddenly pointing the right way.
Please help!
Have you tried: Layer > Transform > auto-orient. Depending on the object you may need to rotate at the starting point so it looks "correct."
i dont have the null on the window
thank you so much ))))))))
Nice!
merci beaucoup !!
My null appears in a totally different area of the comp and moves in the wrong direction. Does anyone know why this is?
Try to press the keyframe (Clock icon) when you select the path!
not working path!
any direct script?
Great
I don't get why this does not work for me. Good guide tho
TheMikeBase What about it is not working? I’d be glad to help you out.

Make sure you have a stroke on your path. Also you can set your stroke width on the top. I’d set it to around 5-10px.
@@TechInfusion Thanks my guy, i will try this tomorrow!
I hope your channel keeps growing because your guides are really well made.
@@TheMikeBase did you solve it?
Автору большое спасибо. Хоть на английском но всё понятно :-)
