  • Just a quick video getting the bus out of storage, turning on the systems and working to get things ready. The aqua hot stopped working so I show pulling it apart and putting it back together.
I will start putting out more videos shortly - please like and subscribe to see our drip down to Florida and the Purdue Football game at Camping World Stadium.

You can get heated potable water hoses to prevent freezing on Amazon or at RV supply stores. I bought a 50 ft. hose for about $120 a few years ago and it works great for city water and it'll work fine for filling your tank in the winter . I also know that the Aquahots can be finicky if you don't perform the annual service on them. The flame detector can be the culprit if it wants to continually start and flame out on you as thar seems to be the symptom. I hope the trip went well. That Safari parked next to your rig in storage is way cool. All aluminum body panels. Great rigs...especially pre-Monaco

Thanks! I will have to check that out! The only reason I didn’t pull the water was because I didn’t know how to get it back in - I will check that out. I thought the same about the flame sensor but it checked out with the ohm reading. Never know!

Hope it keeps running for you. I just finished my Aqua Hot Certification Training. Hoping to get the Authorized Service Center stuff set up next! Haven't had a chance to mess with the older versions yet.

Thanks for watching a commenting. Wonder how different the old vs new are - just the control boards? I have no idea. Sounds like you are getting it set up well! I’d join a couple RV Facebook groups - might help drum in some business.

Is the truck you tow an automatic trans ? How do you pull it like that?

After a little research, there are few vehicles that can be flat towed anymore. It was pure luck my Ford F150 with 4 wheel drive was. To enable flat towing, you have to start the truck, put it in neutral, switch the 4x4 knob from 2 - 4 low (5) times. It will then do something in the transmission and displays flat tow enabled. You leave it in neutral and turn the key back - it won’t turn far enough to take the key out. Then you just pull it, the front wheels turn with the bus. You cannot back up - the tow bars and mounts will buckle. I do have a tow light kit installed - so I plug the bus into the truck to control the lights. I also have a braking system I install as well. I made a detailed video of this too.
