- Video of Haunted Mansion on its reopening day after an extended refurbishment that began in January. The attraction is in the midst of having its grounds extended with a new queue and gift shop being added when complete. At this time, a virtual queue for guests wanting to experience the attraction. This video is from the opening moments of the opening day on July 29, 2024. It does include a few seconds from previous video in the hallway when Mr. Daps' camera froze. We hope you enjoy it! Daps Magic was created by a very special group of Disney Fans who had a dream for a place on the internet where people young and old could share their love of Walt Disney and his legacies in a safe and fun atmosphere.
So worth the 5 hour flight from Toronto to see it in person. It’s an amazing experience.
2 new things I noticed this year besides the gingerbread house of course, are the new Jack in the boxes in the attic, and the exit crypt mirrors definitely look like projections or something now
Great video!
The jack in the boxes are hiding probably a new bride figure behind it and there is painted lightning in the ballroom windows
That is correct, they did appear to be projections now!
@@DapsmagicI’m So Sorry Our Own Haunted Mansion The Usual Might’ve Been Back Before This One
I love The Nightmare Before Christmas. Tim Burton is a genius. Haunted Mansion Holiday looks so cool.
11:11 That Jack in the Box looks new! Also, is that Krusty the Clown on the box design lol!? They moved the snake to across from where it normally is!
@@maxickingdom Krusty and Jangles!! Jangles is the clown from Inside Out
Yes! They also moved the snake to left side instead of the right. That is so cool. Me and my family are going to try and get a virtual queue for it tommrow!
@@Disneyboy1989 Oh, good one!! I bet the imagineers did this intentionally!
@@thatsbananas0 Yes! Now the snake is ACTUALLY where the bride typically is.
Yeah, that’s what I’m saying
Glad they at least got it open partially.
So weird to see haunted mansion holiday in July otherwise glad that it’s opened again!
Happy 23rd anniversary haunted mansion holiday . It’s great to see it finally open
Happy Opening Day Haunted Mansion Holiday!
Welcome back haunted mansion holiday
It's 107 degrees out and we just had fireworks, I'm not ready for halloween
Happy 23rd Anniversary Haunted Mansion Holiday 🎃🎄
I'm super happy that it's open again. I am disappointed that this is the third or fourth year they have not installed the skeleton heads lights in the stretching rooms. Also, it looks like they ran out of time or just flat-out cut the animated eyes on the man-eating wreath.
In other videos, I’ve seen the eyes on the wreath lit up just like last season. Maybe it’s a B mode
They been missing a prop for 2 years now I believe with the bust that follow you there use to be lights that said “HO HO” “Noel” in front of them
@@victorunboxestheworld 100% those have been missing since last season. They were there in 2022
A couple of other missing elements I noticed:
1.) The scarecrow in the front yard doesn’t have the orange lights, but this is probably temporary (I hope).
2.) The stretching room hasn’t had the skeleton lights since the 2019-2020 season. Bummer.
3.) The portrait corridor is missing the “Noel” lights in front of the moving busts, and the “free sleigh rides sign”. Missing since last season.
4.) The April to December portrait in the loading area doesn’t have the bows next to it anymore. They’ve been missing since last season.
5.) The attic is missing some of the Jack in the Box “pop-up” props, but I think they were replaced with the new ones.
6.) The projections of snowflakes haven’t been fully functional since last season. Saddening to see that they haven’t been repaired.
7.) Oogie’s gifts at the end aren’t physical assets anymore, they’ve been replaced with projections. Why this is is beyond me.
Jack Skellington sitting on the pumpkin is missing in the front yard too, but I think this is only temporary. The exterior queue needs to be finished.
imn sure the wreaths eyes were not today cuz the video cutted away after the hallway and other videos shows the eyes working
It's interesting to note that the doombuggies at 11:11 now face the left, usually they faced forward.
@@disneylandmusician7741 I bet you we got a new Bride figure coming
Most certainly means that they designed a new bride animatronic and programmed the buggies to face it
Hold up....It's still JULY!!!!
July isnt even over and we have a holiday retheme already
It's going to be a long 6 months before we see the default version again..
it looks like the ghost in the haunted mansion are having their annual Halloween and Christmas ball early this year
@@TaskMaster-hy6bp And boy am I happy Haunted Mansion Holiday is happening this year! Welcome back, Jack Skellington! 🎃👻💀🎅🏻⛄️
The attic set-up is DRASTICALLY different…I wonder why that could be… 👀
New bride is coming
11:13 If you take a closer look at the jack skellington in the box, you'll see a clown face resembles Krusty The Clown! This is an easter egg associated with the Simpsons owned by Disney.
That looks so cool 🥰😍😱
Welcome Back, Haunted Mansion Holiday! I Never Knew You Would Come this Year due to the Refurbishment going on back there that is supposed to last for about the Rest of the Year
A better idea would be to create a different new ride for the nightmare before Christmas theme bc this is getting outrageous 😵💫 how is it called the haunted mansion when it's almost half of the year with this theme or closed to decorate and undecorate for this lay over
Hi there - when did the haunted mansion actually open because I’m so confused but yet really excited 😆 saw your video just now that’s why doesn’t make sense it’s still supposed to be closed but yet going to virtual?
It re-opened today. Work isn't fully finished so it's VQ for now.
I expect big spider would drop on the ceiling.
It is Christmas in July!
Im not happy how they changed the the position of the snake and how they took out the other Jack in the Boxes in the attic scene
I’m glad it’s open, but why do they have it on haunted mansion holiday when it’s July?
@@Drawing_Productions because by the time the Ride is ready to reopen. It would have to close again for HMH. And if they kept this closed until August. 3 E-Tickets would be down for a lengthy period with this. Space Mountain. And tiana's.
Imagineering knew this. So rather than taking down the HMH overlay. They left it up. Regular haunted mansion will return in January of 2025 with some major updates
@@RayBcv1030 oh ok, thanks
I’m confused what this is , how come they celebrate the holiday so early
Normally, Haunted Mansion transitions into Haunted Mansion Holiday in late August for a September opening. Since it was going to go down for several months for refurbishment and changes, they let the holiday overlay run into mid-January before closing it this past year. Since they would have to transition it again into the holiday overlay soon anyway, they left it as is for the re-opening.
They're also starting the Halloween season super early because the tickets all sold out like within a day last year.
@@possiblyicy Not to mention, Space Mountain is closing in a few days for an extended refurb. That would've left 3 E-Tickets down for refurbishment, as well as the steam train during D23 Expo. So they opened it up early.
So the bride is completely covered rn? Are they working on the bride?
@@moirad3895 the bride never appeared during the overlay, but with rumors going around and other things, it feels like they’re definetly doing something NEW with the bride
I just realized they replaced the fale grass with something else
whos that screaming guy in the ride.
I don’t mind that it’s Haunted Mansion Holiday, I’m just glad it’s open again
God love Disney but it’s way too early for the transition to holiday Haunted Mansion. To hear Jack say “Happy Holidays every body” in July is a little silly….. I was a little
Shocked when Disney announced the Halloween event started in late August
they should of opened regular HM, and kept it opened through august and pushed back when HM Holiday opens imo.
Totally agree… Christmas in July is just a fun thing not an actual holiday celebration
@zekeholloway4413 The thing is. HMH takes 2 weeks to take down and put back up. So assuming regular haunted mansion reopens around this time. The Ride would have to close a few days later and then reopen on August 24th in time for Halloween.
At that point, why even bother?
@@RayBcv1030 oh totally agree… it makes no sense.
they shortened the queue big time you literally are walking straight up to the front steps right into the mansion.
They have the short version temporarily with a virtual queue until the full queue is complete.
@@DapsmagicSo Still I Will Love To See This Works
i wish they opened regular haunted mansion instead.....
You ever notice how the movie is called "The Nightmare Before Christmas" and the whole movie is about Jack pursuing Christmas, and the ride overlay is all about common Christmas scenes and items, but then Jack refuses to say "Christmas"? He says "Happy Holidays, everyone!" But which other holiday? He's literally celebrating Christmas and Christmas only.
11:14 Is it just me or does the two creepy clowns look like jangles from inside out and the other looks like krusty the clown from the simpsons
@@SpeedyCrabbit1533 Literally thought about the Inside Out clown as soon as I saw the design. Glad I wasn't the only one.
@@BarrelBob but look at the clown on the right. I swear it looks like krusty from the Simpsons
I thought that lady @ 6:39 was going to put a spell on you haha
Way, way too early.
They’ve freaking ruined it. If he weren’t already dead, Walt Disney would die of grief to see what Disney Inc. has done to his vision.
virtual que is such crap i will not be playing that game
I know. That system was doomed from the start.
No snowflake again 😢
People are happy Haunted Mansion is reopening but not happy about it being the Christmas theme still. Disney clearly doesn’t hear the fans or care.
Bring back Walt Disney’s attraction permanently. This overlay has long overstayed its welcome.
NO IT HAS NOT BRO
You'll get it back next year, sorry but holiday will always be a very popular overlay, it'll never go away
@@aleclegomaster People are getting sick of Disney’s profiteering schemes, it’s hurting their attendance levels quite dramatically. Holiday may have a small segment of people who enjoy it foolishly during July because they have bad taste but that doesn’t outweigh the number of people they are pissing off. Just like destroying Splash Mountain, this park is digging its own grave slowly but surely.
@Equilibrium-pt7xj that literally has nothing to do with the holiday overlay, just wait when they stop the virtual queue the line will become extremely long like it consistently always does when it's fully open
@@aleclegomaster It’s one of many things that is hurting their attendance levels. It’s an overall disdain for Disney’s poor decision making. They disrespect Walt at every turn and they wonder why 4th of July is a ghost town?
