Smart thinking. Also good to keep ace bandage and other first aid stuff in a pouch on your bike or on your person when deep in the woods. You never know.
Also, you can keep a lighter and wrap duct tape around the body of the lighter and the duct tape works as amazing kindling to start a fire in case you get stranded in the wilderness and are forced to sleep overnight.
I have the 230 dual sport version. It will run 55 to 65 mph down the road and creep at 3mph. These bikes will go anywhere and tractor well with little clutch work.
Its the little bike that could for sure,I bought one for my wife and I have been riding it more than my yz250x just because is so freaking easy and fun to ride and trust me I think I am faster in single track than on my yz
@@aboutfaceretreats6562 we have really put our fully stock 2021 klx230r through the ringer, multiple times and it has had no issues. We also have a 2021 KLX300R, and its done pretty good as well but we had to replace the front break lever, we’ve bent the back break lever, cracked some plastic, and had a leaky from fork seal…mechanically speaking both run awesome!!
@@DirtBikeSessions that is fantastic! After I sent the message I saw that you were posting additional videos. I had my son on a Klx 140 mid size and that was a great bike but he is too big now. I think a 230 might be a great bike size for him next. I want him to enjoy the sport but not feel like a piece of raw meat on the bike which is what I feel like on my yz 250 two stroke at times
The 230r is very versatile and I bet could handle most of what you’d put it through…but it’s not as nimble or “machined” as bikes specifically built for the super low speed hard enduro stuff…
I slide three or four zip ties under my bar pad cover. If something breaks or is flopping I can grab one quick and zip it up. 😀
Love it…thanks for the comment!

Dual sport would be awesome…versatile!
Bruh what do you mean 😂😂 I run my klx230SE 70-78 no problem at all
@@keepoffmyherb420 they'll hit 70-72 depending on weight but, the speed-o is usually off by 3-6 on these bikes.

Thanks for the comment. Your right, the bike is super easy and fun to ride!
That little bike did good in the woods
For sure!
Looks like the single track here in west TN right now.
🤙
Not a fast bike but definitely a little tractor in the woods great for begginers or experienced trail riders
Yes!!
Does the bike feel heavy and does it have good engine braking going down steep hills?
The 230r is not heavy…300r does feel heavy…engine breaking is good on hills.
Nice...need to get the valves adjusted
Great video. I’m eyeballing the dualsport version of one of these so I can leave my 450 home on days like that. 😂😂😂
Highly recommended and agreed 450’s are awesome but the 230 does great in that tough terrain 😎
Looks like fun ! Can you tell me your height and weight so I know if it works for me?
Thanks for the comment! 2 riders at 6’2 225 and 6’5 215
If you are not atleast 6ft you can't flat foot it but they sell lowering links I'm 5'8 I had to tip toe until it was lowered
Liquid cool that thing I might buy one
Definitely!
I guess now you know why to always have bailing wire, zip ties and duct tape
😂
Awesome for the price!
For sure!
@@DirtBikeSessions any updates on how the bike is holding up?

@@aboutfaceretreats6562 lol…agreed…klx230r would be a perfect bike!
Just what I want to do on my day off, struggling on a motorcycle in dense hot humid woods infested with mosquitoes, ticks, thorns and poison ivy.
😂
sounds like it would really make your puss itch lmao
Is the 230r good for super low speed technical hard enduro ?
