Definitely not the voice I've bonded with..I just feel connected to Daniel Luke's voice as Atticus and Oberon and it's really hard for me to get into this book. Don't get me wrong the reading was great and the books great. This new guy did a great job it's just so late in the game to be changing up something so big.
I like the series but in this book I was really getting tired of the constant moral preaching of granulel. Producing oil is not bad. Oil is a natural product of the earth too and is used for many many beneficial products. Granuel uses cell phones.....made using oil. Plus the creation of solar fields and windmill farms wreck their own type of havoc upon the ecosystem. She should probably push nuclear fusion or fission. The constant self righteous pontificating does detract from the enjoyment of the story in my opinion.
Oh please. By now every dimwit should know that on a Planet with limited ressources, fossile fuels and oil is indeed harmful. Of course renewal energy needs to be produced and distributed as well, but we had to keep that one going or we all gonna be fucked.

Fierce druids step dads evil because he’s an oil tycoon and wasn’t always nice to her. Did he beat her? No. Beat her mom? No. Give them a very comfortable life? Yes. Sent her to college for a worthless degree and paid for her housing in Arizona? Yes. Even she admitted that he did make her mom happy. Wow, what an evil (her words) guy. So evil that not only did she have to destroy his business, but had to go pick a fight with him so she could justify in her own mind being violent with him. Then they’re like, oh we shouldn’t have done that, but nah it’s fine because everyone makes mistakes.
It is a little difficult to transition to a new narrator. I believe it is more about a change in the familiar than any lack of proffessionalism. In fact the new narrator has excellent flow and clarity . I will adapt and offer my respect to the new narrator.

Granuaile is becoming increasingly obnoxious and the same plot beats are making the storyline tedious: druid starts shit against supernatural being against advice, gets shit kicked out of him or her, faces consequences for starting shit, allies die, big battle, druids have short-lived victory celebration, more consequences, repeat.
