If you find this JD will ask Marcus when the last time he visited Anyas grave(he also talks about the leaves covering her grave). He will respond with "This Morning, and the morning before that and the morning before that." This shows that Marcus despite all the work he's been doing around the property, everyday he visits Anya showing just how much she ment to him and still does.
Also Anya died from the fertility program as how the gears 5 story explained it and you can choose to save JD or Del one of them gets to live trust me choose JD you don't wanna see Marcus when he doesn't find JD

Played the campaign a couple of times and always made sure to visit Anya's grave. Seemed to be one of the things JD would do since he has no idea when he'll get another chance to do so.
This also triggers special dialogue between JD and Marcus later on in the level where you're travelling through the underground escape tunnel after the first Kestrel fight. Something along the lines of 'I went to mom's grave, ]when was the last time you went down there? It's messy" to which Marcus replies with something along the lines of "Yeah this morning, and the last. We're having some wind trouble if you haven't noticed,' which is in obvious reference to the Windflares.
It pissed me of that there was no explanation to her death, unless there's a plot twist in a future game where she comes back and we're supposed to think she's dead.
To bring someone back to have them missing or to say that they have died always sucks. Why kill off Anya? I had a feeling that something to this effect would happen between Marcus and Anya and they took out his mother. I'm between shocked and disappointed, and the only bright side is that they did not kill off Marcus. After loosing your friend in 2 and thinking you lost another dizzy watching dom loose his wife and then the loss of dom later and last but not least his dad at the end of 3 the same things happen in 4 from marcus point of view and his friends when does the death stop are we pushing stories into a direction or off a cliff some times when you go through so much and stop the threat as I like to see it that story should end because when people come back they are dead missing or forgotten about anya marring marcus and having a son I would have kept them together a main character that survived the worse to gain something special to separate that I just don't get sorry if any of this confuses people or angers them I had not planned on this being so long but it is what it is.

I was also getting pissed off because I thought that Sam wasn't going to be in the game either so it was a nice surprise at the end, Sam is my favorite next to the original four gears.

The locust was miners at first and later they got exposed by staying in the mines for long periods of time along with other creatures. The scientists who cared for them wanted to find out what was happening to them and trying to find a cure during the observations. Myrrah the Queen Bithc of the series was a descendant of these scientists and later cared for the Locust like they are her children. The locust treat her as a queen as a result and later all the bullshit happen sometime after the pendulum wars.

Yeah, it's just JD asking Marcus if he ever visits the grave because of all the leaves. It doesn't work if you go through the tunnel too fast.
