@@jamisoncowling2094 Disney dont produce toys. Star Wars toys are garbage and pyle up in stores all since The Farce A-wokens came out. Back in 1990s they sold empty in a week. Get your facts right
I can see a collector watching this video in 30 to 40 years time and nearly get a heart attack. As most of these unsellable toys ended up in a landfill they will have become almost unfindable and very expensive by then.
Every time I go to Ollie’s I walk out having bought nothing. Everything I want to buy there seems to be available for less elsewhere! I don’t know how they stay in business! There is a LOT at Ollie’s that I wouldn’t buy unless it were very cheap. I look at the toys presented here and I don’t think that Ollie’s will drop the prices enough to make be consider buying any. Of course, 90% off might be necessary in my case… and even then I’d be picky.
I would buy a single Admiral Holdo doll if it were under $2. I don’t think that Ollie’s will ever drop the price that low. Ever. I mean, I’m 5 years older than Laura Dern and I think she’s still cute. One effigy of her as the silly admiral would be fine, but $2 is about my limit unless it’s life-sized…
How did a .Hack item end up at Ollie’s?! Usually those kinds of things are bought up quickly! …It’s what I’d easily get over most of the crap in that pile
At what point will Ollie's say it's no longer worth it to have these dead products? I also believe they paid almost nothing for it so Hasbro and Disney can say they didn't toss them in a landfill.
The fact that someone took out Finn from the box and left Rey there makes it even funnier when you show people why Star Wars fans dislike Rey. Cause even thieves dislike her. Ha!
The Ollies employees who move the Disney crap from place to place around the store must love that stuff. Talk about job security, that junk is going nowhere. 😂
Ok so what I don’t understand about Ollie’s is yes the stuff is cheap but why would this company buy so many of the same figures that obviously didn’t sell in stores sure there are people who are waiting for the items cheaper but there isn’t thousands of people waiting.
In all honesty the 2 Ollie's in my Buffalo NY area all the toys (same inventory you show) were pretty much gone. I agree it's junk so I was amazed it was gone. Maybe they just put it back in storage.
@@jamisoncowling2094 so far you have stated opinions instead of proof! Any links to legitimate news or videos to back up your statements?! Until you get anything like that, nobody here is going to take you seriously!
As a parent, it blows my mind how much the main big box retail charge for this crap. And the only toys that seem to be of decent quality is the NECA figures and those aren't meant for small children. And even importing like the Bandai "Movie Monster Series" Godzilla figures from Japan. That's going to pretty much cost you $40 for one of them.
The prices for those Star Wars, Marvel and Vintage Disney figures may seem cheap, but $3.99, $4.99 and $5.99 for that crap is NEVER going to sell. Ollies should just reduce the prices for ALL action figures to ONE DOLLAR. It's doubtful that they would even sell at that cheap price, but they sure as hell are NOT going to sell at $3.99, $4.99 and $5.99.......that includes Donald, Mickey, Goofy and Pluto. EVERYTHING is WAY OVERPRICED even for a supposed discount store. IT WON'T SELL OLLIE! LOWER THE PRICE! P.S. LOVE THESE VIDEOS WCB!!!
This series could win an award if such awards existed. Fantastic series. I get many things at Ollie’s for my students treasure box but not any Disney crap. The kids don’t want it 😂 Thanks for a new video 🍻
The toy makers saw the collectors market and ran wild. You can't create a VALUABLE collectors market when there's a billion of one thing out there sitting on shelves. The reason the Black Lotus from Magic the Gathering is worth so much is because only 22,800 were printed.
Same deal with Neopets cards. They were hot back in 2003-2006, but some of the holofoils were ultra rares or were purposely made on low print runs, so they can go for several hundred apiece. That's nothing compared to Pokemon or vintage Magic cards, but that's my childhood niche. I'm close to finishing off the last of my decks, but still.
In Germany we have the same Phenomena. But i think its not because Kids don’t like specific Actionfigures. Its because the Kids aren’t interested in Toys at all. My nephew doesn’t play with any kind of actionfigure or with Lego or else. He just plays with his mobile phone. He is not interested in Toys.
Hasbro thought that raising prices for the same crappy figures would work.....like always companies been living in a fucking bubble not knowing what people really likes.....and even today the distribution system its fucked up.....
Recently, I have decided to sell the last bit of Star Wars merchandise. I had I’ve also selling what I have left of the movies. I am basically removing Star Wars for my life completely except for a couple of things other than that I am not a fan of Star Wars anymore.
In the mid 1980’s, some of the most valuable figures and toys remained on toy store shelves at a discounted price for years. Star Wars, Mego, etc. When I was younger, I bought what was the oldest toys from Star Wars I could afford. Just have a good space to stash them in. In 30 years, some of these will be probably worth something.
Thing is, though, those vintage toys were discounted after their popularity faded. These current toys at close-out aren't popular in their heyday...they have no heyday! No one will be nostalgic for them. And nostalgia is no guarantee anyway. Right now Star Trek and Star Wars figures from the 90's are worth little more than their original retail price....still mint on card. And it's been nearly 30 years since Star Wars toys came back. In 30 years form now action figure/toy collecting might not even be much of a thing.
@@MAN-ON-THE-HORSE-MUSIC Very true. As a fan of animated 2000's shows like Danny Phantom and Xiaolin Showdown, there was very little merchandise produced in the heyday for either IP. Now (20+ years later), Danny Phantom merch is consistently in Hot Topic or Box Lunch stores, knowing that adult collectors will want it for nostalgia. I'm glad I still have my XS action figures because they're now rare to find and nothing new is being produced for that IP.
When it comes to Robin unless it is Dick Grayson or Jason Todd, then I don't care. Tim Drake was good during his debut, but DC messed the character up during the New 52 reboot.
So would the Holdo/Eternals crossover be called "The Eternal Holdo-ver"? There's no way in hell the buyers from Ollie's are going to take that huge of a lot from Hasbro ever again. Sure, eventually Ollie's will write it off and it'll head for a landfill, so it won't be a total loss for them, but their buyers sure didn't do the chain any favors. On the flip side, if someone was looking to boost their D&D campaign, it'd be worth the stop to snag those Campaign Cases, or maybe pick up some of those classic D&D cartoon figures. At least those come with a polyhedral die you can add to your dice bag.

I bought Warriors of Krynn at Ollie's just before Christmas. It was worth 10 bucks, but definitely not 100.
My God, i Remeber the 1990s when Toys'R Us came to sweden.
Row up on row with Star Wars micromachines and other stuff that went sold out in just a week.
Those days are gone, The Era of popular franchises and giant toystores are history. Sad but true.
Those days are not over toys do sell even today
@@jamisoncowling2094 Not Star Wars. They rott in sale-shops like Target, and in Sweden, we dont even bother with garbage.
@@pqsnet They don’t rot in store shelves and Disney toys are not garbage I know for a fact that Disney toys do sell at target
@@jamisoncowling2094 Disney dont produce toys. Star Wars toys are garbage and pyle up in stores all since The Farce A-wokens came out. Back in 1990s they sold empty in a week. Get your facts right
Dragonlance is 100% dungeons and dragons.
Those campaign cases are great. They were $65 a piece a year ago, I bought 5 of them.
Go to Ollies, buy them for three bucks and resell them for forty.
I can see a collector watching this video in 30 to 40 years time and nearly get a heart attack. As most of these unsellable toys ended up in a landfill they will have become almost unfindable and very expensive by then.
The shelves at Ollie's deserve better.
The toys in the Disney section are not crap
The Store Of Misfit Toys.
At what point will Ollie's say it's no longer worth it to have these dead products? I also believe they paid almost nothing for it so Hasbro and Disney can say they didn't toss them in a landfill.
Disney and Hasbro won’t toss their products in a landfill because it would harm the environment
The fact that someone took out Finn from the box and left Rey there makes it even funnier when you show people why Star Wars fans dislike Rey. Cause even thieves dislike her. Ha!
Lmao at the open package on the ground. Even thieves don’t want Rey figures.
Not true because in my home state of Oregon thieves will steal anything
The Ollies employees who move the Disney crap from place to place around the store must love that stuff. Talk about job security, that junk is going nowhere. 😂
Yes it will go somewhere people will buy it what you and this video says is lies
Ok so what I don’t understand about Ollie’s is yes the stuff is cheap but why would this company buy so many of the same figures that obviously didn’t sell in stores sure there are people who are waiting for the items cheaper but there isn’t thousands of people waiting.
The phrase flogging a dead horse comes to mind....
I enjoy these videos so much and my kids do as well. When they hear the music playing they come and watch with me.
All I can see is a lot of future park benches ..
Check the layer of dust on those garbage toys.
I love this series. Every time that song comes on it makes my day. Cheers sir.
There's a trash section in the Death Star all these figures can be dumped into.
In all honesty the 2 Ollie's in my Buffalo NY area all the toys (same inventory you show) were pretty much gone. I agree it's junk so I was amazed it was gone. Maybe they just put it back in storage.
Disney toys don’t rot on shelves
You have any kind of proof internet troll?!
@@nicktechnubyte1184 I do have proof the proof is that in my home state the Disney toys sell out in the stores and I am not an internet troll
@@jamisoncowling2094 so far you have stated opinions instead of proof!
Any links to legitimate news or videos to back up your statements?! Until you get anything like that, nobody here is going to take you seriously!
@@nicktechnubyte1184 I have not stated opinions at all what I have stated is facts
Hilarious I won’t be happy until Disney is bankrupt.😂😂
You guys should make a playlist for this series
The Ollies I go in, people are stealing the build a figure pieces out of the boxes.
Wow what a waste of money
I think Holdo will become rare find in the future because you cannot find her in every home.
I wish I had the money to rescue all of those Masters of the Universe toys.
Not even joking there bro
They won’t lower the price it that low because they do need to make money off their product
Talking with my local Walmart toy department guy, he says toy sales are rare with the exception of Lego.
This series could win an award if such awards existed. Fantastic series. I get many things at Ollie’s for my students treasure box but not any Disney crap. The kids don’t want it 😂 Thanks for a new video 🍻
Kids do want Star Wars toys
The toy makers saw the collectors market and ran wild.
You can't create a VALUABLE collectors market when there's a billion of one thing out there sitting on shelves.
The reason the Black Lotus from Magic the Gathering is worth so much is because only 22,800 were printed.
Yeah, reminds me of when that last wave of original Star Wars figures were released in 1985. Nobody wanted them.
I wouldn't mind a He Man and a Skeletor. Maybe their cats.
The classic DND figurines are kinda tempting for the lols.
Shame that this is driving Hasbro to bankruptcy.
Disney of old is nothing like this vulgar display of junk merchandise. I hope the stock holders are enjoying Disney’s modern direction.
Hasbro thought that raising prices for the same crappy figures would work.....like always companies been living in a fucking bubble not knowing what people really likes.....and even today the distribution system its fucked up.....
They coulda saved all this plastic and made Stormtroopers...cuz people wanna Army Build...But..no.
How are they STILL selling Disney Infinity items?!? The DI servers were shut down YEARS ago!
As I watch this, I ask myself, "What of those would I buy if they were just $1.00"...I counted 5. 🤷♂
At 8:08, those D&D cases. Did Hasbro try to sell these for $50! And now Ollies can't at $3. LOL
Guess it depends where you live. I saw an Ollie's get lots of those in. In a week, they were gone.
No shit. For 2 a pop, I'd buy a whole aisle.
Recently, I have decided to sell the last bit of Star Wars merchandise. I had I’ve also selling what I have left of the movies. I am basically removing Star Wars for my life completely except for a couple of things other than that I am not a fan of Star Wars anymore.
I found a whole bunch of Marvels junk on bargain bins and Little Mermaid Pop Vinyls at 8.00 for discount. They are still not selling after two months.
Have you come across any of the Starship Cruiser gift shop merch appearing in outlet stores yet? Seen a few photos of it online recently.
"for almost a thousand generations Disney was the king of movies and toys. Before the dark times. Before the wokeness
Yup 60-70-80 beginning of the 90’s good old time great movies
Isn't Hasbro bankrupt?
Why isn't Hasbro bankrupt?
Having them for free would still keep them on the shelves lol
These segments should be called "The Clearance Rack" or "Deeply Discounted" or "The Unmoved Stacks".
It AMAZES me what foresight youtubers have and how they truly are a snapshot of society in USA. You have been talking about these toys for at least a couple yrs and now reports of Hasbro wanting to drop Disney is being reported by many.
This series could be watch in any order, and the results are still the same.
