It’s been about 28 years, but this was exceptional . All around, everything just clicked. The writing, performing , music & producing felt right. At the beginning I thought “Not Victor”. It created an amazing year of storytelling . I’m thankful to have these memories captured!
But Victor Lord Never died. He reappeared in 2003 alive. So none of this was real. She never killed him. But then in 2008 when Asa died their was a scene where Viki and Dorian were locked in a room. They implied that Victor never came back in 2003. So many rewrites
The rewrites were exactly why I stopped watching in 2003 until 2011 when the only TRUE Todd Manning came back. It wasn't until then that I found out about the rest of the rewrites that I missed during that time. Which honestly was a good thing because I didn't have to see that mess.
Yes. I vaguely recall that. "Viki" was lamenting her guilt for having wanted to kill him and "Dorian" sort of put her foot down and said, _"I killed him!"_ "Viki" mentioned the "Victor Lord", back from the dead, that tried to get a heart from one of her daughters to prolong his life, and "Dorian," remarked, "If that really *_was_* Victor..."
I remember when my mom and I watched this storyline and she kept insisting up and down that Dorian originally did. I guess you have to suspend disbelief just a tad for a good story!
Oh yes she tried but Viki finished him off big difference legally between attempted and actual murder. I have to say, as a lifelong Robin Strassers dorian fan, I think this is the best twist in oltl history
"...AND WHAT DID YOU DO!" I actually have most of this. From Viki screaming at David, "HOW! DAVID HOW IN GOD'S NAME.... COULD IT GET ANY WORSE! THIS ENTIRE HOUSE OF CARDS YOU HAVE BUILT FOR YOURSELF HAS FALLEN DOWN AROUND ME..." To Dorian telling Cassie "I swear to you, on my beautiful grandson's head, I did not pick up a pillow, put it over his face and smother him!” The only thing better than this was the stuff from the 80's with Maria and marginotoxicol!
Around the time when the new alters were introduced, when Tommy came out, after Dorian told Viki that Victor had 'seduced' her when she was a child, and threw Dorian down the stairs at her house... (WHEW!) Jack Armstrong was playing Kevin. I thought he was fine (and FINE!). But apparently the powers that be felt he wasn't working out and recast the character a few times... So, Kevin sort of appears and disappears during this story line until they settled, for a while, on Kevin Stapleton in1996.
I kind of thing a monster who not only abuses there kids but does it hundreds or even thousands of times like what that thing did to its own daughter deserves to die slowly and painfully and I think in some ways that person who killed it deserves a medal

She put a pillow over his face she thought he died
This is so moving and difficult to watch at times.
they dont make his stuff anymore. just crap now
Dorian DID try to kill Victor. That sort of gets forgotten in the long term.

Indeed; however Robin Strasser said it best...."I wasn't playing Dorian then, so I didn't try to kill Victor." Gotta love her.
@@BSted-lm3mx yes, love Robin Strasser😍

Nobody noticed the pun I made by capitalizing DID. Of course, neither did I, until just now.

It does not matter in the LONG RUN if Dorian tried to kill Victor. She didn't kill him. Vicki did. At least she admits it was wrong.
