I totally agree, and this is the quality of writing both Robin and Dorian deserve. I don't care what network she's on, Dorian is not some cartoonish Disney villainess.
Couldn't Robin Strasser have been nominated for an Emmy for this in the Supporting Actress category? The moment where she says, she found Victor’s pornography collection was CHILLING! And months earlier, when she tells Viki that it’s sad that she’s still protecting Victor… VIKI: “He was my father!” The look in Dorian’s eyes when she answered, shaking her head, “He was my husband!” That, alone, should’ve been worth TRIPLE Emmy points, shouldn’t it?
Robin Strasser refused to submit herself in the supporting category. She said Dorian wasn't supporting to anyone. And she was right. Dorian is a leading character. The producers probably discouraged her from submitting herself in leading so Erika could win.
@@TJMalana no she didn't. I believe Robin was nominated several times in the leading category and won only once in the early 80s. She stopped submitting herself for Emmys I believe.
actually missed this when originally aired. I was a on and off OLTL watcher in the 1997-on (SHAME SHAME) But I'm tellin' ya these R just fabulous actresses.
the greatest super couple on daytime was Dorian and viki. Malone wabted Marty and blair to be the next Dorian and viki. so happy viki and Dorian became friends when oltl ended
@@operadoc: And Viki-as-Tori finished the job by smothering him with a pillow. Victor was in the hospital anyway, so Dorian not giving him medicine would not have made a difference.
@@tjames9698: I think the reasurrected Victor was an imposter pretending to be Victor. Viki-as-Tori delivered the final death blow to Victor. Both Dorian and Viki acted in self-defense there because we all know that Victor had been abusive.
These two played so well off of each other. The true “supercouple” of OLTL
I never get tired of watching these two Great Legends!

Didn’t she win the following year? Dorian got her chance to shine when Dorian’s past origins were explored.

Robin was a lead period the end!
I love oltl I watched since 2000 best soap ever

Woooooow 1st time ive seen this. Do you have what happened next
it wasn't TOMMY>> IT WAS TORRI>>> THAT KILLED VICTOR LORD!! 😲😨😱😲😨
@tommary1962 Did you see Dixie Carter's temporary portrayal of Dorian? How was that?
A fun fact in 1976 Dorian really did kill Victor Lord a different actress played Dorian back then.
How many times has this man died lol I thought it was only twice
@@bubblezzxxd15 in the land of soap operas people die and come back to life all the time, lol.

So true! 🤣🤣🤣
Actually Victor died of a heart attack and Dorian didn't help him.

Why is everybody wearing raincoats in these flashbacks?? Dorian, Viki -- I mean, wasn't this June?? LOL Was it raining??
Viki actually mentions that too. "Why do I remember that? It's not raining..."
Doesn’t it rain in the summer where you’re at.
First of all, Dorian finally admitted that she DID kill him, then Victor appeared alive and well.
No she didn't.....
@@crisvanfan Yes, she did. It was during the storyline when Victor came back alive.

Dorian was more than ready to kill Victor in fact was just about to kill him but she heard Viki(Tori) and hid in the bathroom
Gosh, I hate how smug Dorian is when Vicki is obviously uncomfortable and in a lot of distress. Dorian rarely had any shame, I'm sorry to say.
No, Dorian was not "smug." She was more relieved than anything else.
Dorian was certainly not gleeful when Viki was arrested that December 12, 1995.
Typical Erika Slezak. Overacting.
Dorian lord was such a boss!
So true!!! I love Dorian!
