In the year 2020 and all it has entailed, being able to binge on my favorite OLTL memories is so therapeutic and such good nourishment for my soul. Thank you for posting.
No, Dorian didn't. Dorian, blunt as she was, was sort of intimidated by Viki and her alters. Dorian did lots of bad things, but unlike Viki, Jean and Tina, took responsibility for her actions and seldom tried to blame others.
To me, these scenes the height/ the very best of Viki/Dorian! Remember this period with a big smile and 2 thumbs up! Thanks for posting these wonderful clips/awesome work!
This storyline is ICONIC. Erika Sleazak will forever be an acting legend. One thing that did bother me originally was Dorian WAS responsible for Victor's death. I understand why the writers retconned that out in favor of Viki's DID and sexual abuse storyline. Still, I always hated Dorian with a passion. She was a pretentious and arrogant witch. She was always so jealous of Viki being such a compassionate, and beloved person. So instead of improving her own personality, she was always scheming to get the best of Viki. I loved the Jean alter because she was unafraid to put that witch in her place.
Loved this story line. These two ladies were the best. Thanks for this upload. Would be nice to see these old seasons of soaps sold as DVDs.. all the soaps, from all stations. Lol
Good Night!! I was not watching OLTL at this time (always a CBS fan) but I read about this storyline. This is outstanding. If Sheila Carter ever comes back to Y&R then, Lauren should call Jean Randolph to take care of things...calmly.
I admit I love Dorian as much as I love Viki, but I certainly don't think Dorian deserved what happened to her. Jean is one of my favorite villains, though. She freaked me out.
Wow just noticed that at the 3:11 mark on this video with Jean and Dorian and on the very next video at the 2:48 mark, its exactly the same!! this must have been a habit during those times of filming. They would reuse some scenes over and over!
Angel Young michael Malone wrote this . He wrote from late 91 to early 96. he wrote the homophobia storyline and Marty's gang rape and viki s did. he created some amazing characters Todd manning, Nora hanen, Marty Saybrook, the Vegas, the Gannon s , David vickers Luna moody kelly Cramer Powell zack starr manning , the man was a genius and won I believe 2 emmys . he wrote crisp dramatic deep storyline that rocked lain view for years. he put the focus back on viki and Dorian amd the Lord family . these stories in many people's opinion were some of the best . the show took a dive in 96 when he left . the producer Linda gotlieb also was fabulous. they said a story arc should last about 3 months weave many characters on the canvas together and lead into other storyline. for example Marty lying and accusing Andrew of being a gay man who abused a teen led to her gang rape in that her credibility was questioned about the rape . he payed close attention to detail wardrobe lighting sets and music. some people were upset bc the show didn't center around the Buchanan's which it did through the 80s but it's good bc the Lord story viki and Dorian and Victor's murder was something that had to be resurrected. it also killed a lot of characters like cord max. Max esp got kinda lost in the 90s as he was the male lead in the 80s . Max I think didn't fit in bc the character was more of a cad a kind of throwback to the 80s and Malone wanted to press through to the social issues and seriousness of the 90s where's the 80s had wild storyline like eterna Clint going back in time viki going to heaven etc . many loved all that and in time it's very much appreciated for that Era but Malone wanted to set the sun on paul raunch s Buchanan's and rise the sun on the lords and also he built up the Cramer family with a newly casted blair addie kelly Cassie . Malone also said his two favorite characters were Luna moody bc her story was the easiest to tell and Todd manning bc his was the hardest. personally the best eras of oltl for me was 86 to 89 which was all about Tina max cord Gabrielle. the show faltered but Malone took over 91 to early 96 and was must see TV again. when he left things got muddied. the show rocked the house again I think in 2011 before it got cancelled.
Natalie Stack thank you for all the details you provided. I was only 8 or 9 when these stories happened so i couldn’t truly appreciate them but i remember watching them with my family and was still engrossed i love that I’m able to go and rewatch to really see the greatness
@Marissa Victoria But "Dorian" was going to make "Viki's" abuse public knowledge if she didn't stop trying to get "Dorian" put back in prison for murder. "Jean's" job was to keep the secret from being exposed so she _did what was necessary..._
I just realized something after all these years: where exactly did Jean have Dorian stashed after all that time when she was flying here and there and pretending to be Viki? Dorian at first said that Viki had her chained and locked up all night long but that cant be. it had to have been DAYS or even a week that passed with all that coming and going Jean was doing
God this is just like Flowers In The Attic. In The UK they would have been called Best Double Act who bring out the best in each other in terms of Acting. A Couple of Years Ago Two Young Men who played Twins won who are Afro Carribbean. Their Categories are more diverse. Best Newcomer, Best Exit, Best Single Episode, Best Comedic Performance and they give a an Award Of Achievement to someone for their work but they never tell the person and they find out the night of the Telecast.
The most impressive of all Viki's alters. I love her.
jean is one of my favorite alters too and she rocks.

the music really sets the mood. I love it.
JEAN: "Well, eat now, alright. And do try the Wine. I can't praise it enough!"
PRICELESS!
I DON'T WANT THE WINE 🍷🤣
@@Judah98 And that look that "Jean" gives her, as the wine goes flying... _"Oh, Dorian. These dramatics are _*_so_*_ unnecessary..."_
@@themirrorsofmymind Exactly. Jean was not the one to play with! 🧐🧐🧐
Loved Jean! She was so cool and rational and coldly calculating, she was my favorite of all Vickys altars. Dorian deserved everything she got!

I do have to say that I have never seen such coldness from one Charator in just one person..Jean Randolph .. XD
Loved this story line. These two ladies were the best. Thanks for this upload. Would be nice to see these old seasons of soaps sold as DVDs.. all the soaps, from all stations. Lol
Miriam Jewett yes
It really would be.
@dia1962 this storyline had me hooked for months. i'd rush home from work not wanting to miss a thing. Jean was easily the best of her alters.
Good Night!! I was not watching OLTL at this time (always a CBS fan) but I read about this storyline. This is outstanding. If Sheila Carter ever comes back to Y&R then, Lauren should call Jean Randolph to take care of things...calmly.
I love Jean Randolph, especially when she told Dorian that she's not totally blameless
Jeaaaaaaan!!!
I admit I love Dorian as much as I love Viki, but I certainly don't think Dorian deserved what happened to her. Jean is one of my favorite villains, though. She freaked me out.
I wouldn't call Jean a villain. Ruthless yes, but not a villain since the purpose for her existence was to protect Viki and maintain order.
@spinnernet1 Oh, yeah. I got chills just from her saying that.
Jean is so efficient and sanitary lol
Great scene!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm a bit suprised the Jean Randolph would use a word like "supper"
@Edward West-Summers I think that was a bit of a joke, since she was holding _"Dorian"_ captive. ;-)
Really? lol have some supper bitch
Probably just slipped out ?? XD
Who wrote this story? I love this better than the rehash with her daughter, Jessica.

Natalie Stack ABC was on a roll with their soap operas from 1993 to 1997.
Natalie Stack thank you for all the details you provided. I was only 8 or 9 when these stories happened so i couldn’t truly appreciate them but i remember watching them with my family and was still engrossed i love that I’m able to go and rewatch to really see the greatness
My friend, I fear you are right on that one.
dorian deserved what jean did to her.she pushed vicki too far,and jean was their to protect her.
@Marissa Victoria But "Dorian" was going to make "Viki's" abuse public knowledge if she didn't stop trying to get "Dorian" put back in prison for murder. "Jean's" job was to keep the secret from being exposed so she _did what was necessary..._
God I loved Jean. I used to get sick of that saintly Viki.
Jean and Nikki were the best Alters
1. Nikki
2. Jean
3. Vicki

Viki inherited a cabin in Tidewater from Sloan when he died. That's where Jean kept Dorian until the secret room at Llanfair could be rehabbed...
XD they should have done it like this with tess instead of that lame bubble see its more dramatics and stuff i love it
