I'm was pretty sure that "feywild visitor" is the golden pig of this deck but I'm actually surprised i was thinking about bident of thassa as well as farsight mask when building this
I thought dragon tribal was boring. You changed my mind. I'm going to build this sooner or later (probably later because my LGS doesn't have too many Baldur's Gate cards).
Clout of the Dominus gives any dragon haste and +1+1 and gives your commander shroud haste and +2+2 for only 1 mana. The only drawback is at sorcery speed. That concern is somewhat mitigated in commander.
@@MaleusMaleficarum he’s a lot of fun to run as a partner commander, honestly with whoever you want. He literally just wants to watch everyone fight and I love it
It seems like goading your own creatures is better because you only get counter on your commander if an opponent takes damage and was forced to attack not if you take damage
I wish the ancient dragons were buster enough for CQ videos. The red and blue ones are easily the strongest “in combat damage triggers” of the cycle and i could be convinced that they’re among the strongest for any izzet dragons.
I respectfully disagree. Mass Land Destruction discourages play whereas Goad encourages it. So many times I’ve been in games where everyone is passively recruiting for their battlefield…until I start disrupting things! 😈
Spectacular Showdown is NOT good due to several reasons: - You will NEVER cast the overload version due to how expensive It is. Believe Me, I tried. - It can still get countered. And It's not good, due to the fact that Izzet is slow at building Their mana base. This get countered, then You can't do anything for the turn. - And if You do cast It, You just gave all opponent's creatures double strike. Good luck handling that without consistent wide goading. For budget dragon, I'd suggest Tiamat's fanatics for safer/consistent dragon attacking.
Showdown is a game ender. If you can't reach 7 mana then either you don't have enough rocks/ways to ramp or your group's power level is too high for this deck. It's perfect for when everyone is under half life where you can make them double strike eachother and then clean up with your dragons on your following turn. If you cast this too early it will backfire.
@@andrewsutherland1909 So, a game ender that relies on the state of ALL of the board, opponent's life being half, having enough mana, and You could finish Your opponent NEXT TURN? Not to mention the wishful thinking that It won't get countered, and many other things I could think off. Then okay, sure. It is a game ender.
@@ridwana4037 Like I said it's better suited for the end of the game. Obviously if your opponents are at full health and you're on the brink of death turn 12 then it's not super helpful lol but you can say that about a lot of cards. Many cards in this game require strategy and timing. Even the classic Finale of Devastation into a Craterhoof is useless if you don't time it right but that doesn't stop it from being one of the most used finishers in green creature decks. Goad your opponents throughout the game so they aren't at high life totals and when/if you are alive in the later rounds drop this to finish people off. The deck also has access to board wipes in the form of red spells like blasphemous act or blue spells like evacuation. Drop this one, watch people smack eachother then clear the board on your next turn if you have no board state. Plenty of ways to use this card effectively.
They use the price of damaged cards on tcg to get the lowest possible price point for each card. That and the prices tend to bump up a bit when popular channels make these videos due to a surge in people buying them.
Flavor fail wizards! A scheming dragon that is all about manipulating others to attack everyone but you, so you gain benefit from manipulating them....why is this not a green dragon?!?! (scale color, not mana)
Firkraag is probably the funniest deck I have. It always ends in everyone brutally slugging it out
Yes, at you
@mihneadragu1116 then you are not doing it right. More than not... I can make everyone else attack... but not at me.

I've upgraded my precon with Conjurer's Closet and oh boy does it make some mess lol
Conjurors closet and helm of the host. Bothersome Quasit combos well off Kardur as well.
Finally some GOAD love! Ive been pushing this since it dropped! Absolutely love it!
Thank you. I bought this precon and haven't really done anything with it. This helps a ton!
Also you could buy the precon
Firkraag is genuinely one of the best out of the box commander decks. It has a cohesive, thorough strategy and a lot of ways to bring it about.
2:14 And of course, first up!
So funny thing: I play Ganax as my commander, so very happy to see him get some love

I took him out... he wants a different sort of strategy

I feel like Baeloth is more of a weird voltron commander. He's not great in Firkraag because the deck has no way to pump him past 2 power.

I built a zevlor deck that uses alot of goad.

How did you get it to under 25 dollars mines coming up at closer to 100?
yeah mine as well some chaos dragon is listed as .24 censt but is 20$ rn its difference in recording time and now prices
