There is no 'right way' to do something that's inherently wrong. Sony should never have followed the 'live service' trend-that is the *only* 'right way'.
The real issue with live service it shouldn't take 8 years to make a game when you are following trends. If they started in 2022 and spend $100-50 million less maybe you could pivot when tides change.

Sony should’ve took a good look at Hell Divers 2 and read the room. Now Space Marines 2. The universe is talking to them, but they refuse to see it.
