Most likely the person who installed your control panel and wrapped the wired counter clock wise around the screw was probably a lefty. However the other side was wrapped counter clock wise. Maybe he switched positions. We also had the close door timer feature turned on when we first got our new panel but it got annoying when I was working outside and it kept on closing the door on me when I needed to access tools in the garage. So we turned off that feature even though the time adjustments were available. Great video and like this type of content!
I like both features of motion detector to turn on light and closing door after 10 minutes, but can you disable both? I leave garage door open for hours.
Yes, the switch labeled "sensor" behind the gray cover controls enabling/disabling the motion sensor and the "hold" button stops the door from auto-closing from the timer.
Good video, and very helpful. I am interested in doing this same thing, but the current wall button is a very simple doorbell-like button, so not sure if it is compatible. I have MyQ, but not sure of the model.
I think yours would also have 2 wires per button, but I would check with the manufacturer to make sure it's compatible. They were pretty quick in responding when I asked
The screw holes are the same because they are sized to fit a gang box.

Boom. You just saved me the trouble. Thanks!
This was a well done video. Thanks.
Great video. So once you install this new wall control unit you don't need to connect it with the opener via the learn button?
I hope this is a solution for my issue - thanks you sir

@@LightsAndButtonsgreat, thanks. I will check if compatible with my old LiftMaster motor.
What model garage door opener do have?

Hi thanks for the information video.. is this can work with alexa or google ?
Hi, there is a wifi-enabled component but we're not utilizing it, so I'm not sure
Why do you have two boxes?
One for each garage door
