- It is still warm and sunny here in Positano. I harvest the accidental butternut squashes and we carry on with the never ending task of harvesting olives for our neighbours. We find a lost drone and try to track down the owner, and take a well deserved day off in Amalfi.

What a lovely interlude on a breezy morning here in New Mexico. You are both such a treasure and delight and I’m thankful that you share these moments with us. Of course Carlo rehabilitated the drone, it’s a man thing and we love them for it all the more. It reminded me of my favorite uncle and warmed my heart. Dearest Nikki, I could watch you wander around all day, always assuming I had the time.
I know you can’t stay in Positano forever but your neighbors are really going to miss you guys. ❤

The olive harvesting is pretty neat. How you all come together and get it done for the sake of the collective benefit is heartening. Coastal cliff living is pretty dang fascinating. It has it's caveats for sure, but it's got charm and character. I love watching all the happenings, thank you.

Carlo you are a kind and generous person. It was great to see the repaired drone returned to the owner. I understand that they are quite expensive to replace. I also loved seeing how olives are gathered and processed by the traditional method. This was all new information for this city girl in the USA.

There are really no words for me to explain how much I enjoy watching the two of you together sharing your day to day experiences on beautiful Positano. I also love hearing Italian spoken again. It is the language spoken by my grandparents to each other when they didn’t want me to understand what they were saying. 🤣

It's funny, Nicki, I was going to tell you about the naked nutcase outside the cathedral door and ask you if you'd heard about the incident!...........So that's how you came to have these squashes, but I really liked the look of a couple of your aubergines and wish I could have them (we don't really get any tasty aubergines here even in the heat of summer)! Lots to comment on...The food, the food you had! So reminded me of my years living in Greece! So wonderful of the wonderful Carlo to find the young man and give him back his now repaired drone! (Isobel Jobe) Just come back from Sorrento. We bought two kilos of olives from Sorrento market. I do this every time we go there, and then I put them in jars with oil, they last for ages and taste wonderful.
We had a wonderful time as usual, and ate in many of the wonderful restaurants, and drank a good few Limoncello and Apererol spritzs.

I have an olive tree here in the UK, when I bought it I was told you'll never get any olives on it, Ta Da here I am now with an olive tree with loads of olives, nowhere near what you have of course, I had no idea you couldn't just eat them off the tree and you have to actually cure them 🤦🏼♀️ embarrassing I know. Nicki, I noted your comment about fellow TH-camrs not being generous with their time. I too have found that but I don’t have a TH-cam channel. I’m a single mum with a mobile hair and makeup business for 20 years and not once did any of my friends, not even my ex husband, ever shared my Facebook or Instagram or attempted to help promote my business in all that time even when they knew of my difficult financial circumstances. Like you, Im always quick to help out friends with their businesses. It takes little effort but more importantly it demonstrates what a kind and thoughtful person you are. We need to focus on that, the kind, generous, thoughtful people in this world. Really enjoy your program. Hope to get to Italy to visit my partners family in the north in 2024.😊.
