It sounds to me like this song comes from a place of sincere train of thought. I love the nakedness of this song. "Lying is all we have." We don't live in a real world where people express themselves. We know nothing about each other and we like to keep it that way. We maintain the appearance of kindness, but it is entirely fake. We hug everyone we meet, but there is no sincerity to it. And if we dare tell people that we're having bad feelings, they tell us to "grow up" or "stop being a baby." No one ever really helps. No one ever really cares. The recognizing of how little they care is terrifying. And in the end, we're left alone to try and make sense of it all. And the conclusion that we come to is the same every time. I feel like the "doomer" is a person who has recognized that people don't care about them. It hurts beyond comprehension...but there's nothing we can do. We already tried.
I live in the worst of both worlds. I've told people to man up while also breaking down myself. I can't handle my own hypocrisy and I can't empathise deeply enough to actually care about people. I want people to care about me but until then I don't care about others; I'm only projecting my own pain through a facade of stability.

Today the words "giving up" came to my mind who knows from how deep in my memory, "giving up", and then I found it. Nice video.

I feel like it's important for people to know that giving up on life is perfectly acceptable. You have no obligation to live or to do what society wants you to do. All these things want is to perpetuate themselves at your expense. So be free. Deny life and deny these constructs we call society. Do what you want. And if that means leaving life entirely, then you have the freedom to make that decision.
"Life is meaningless?" You're wrong from the start. And that's why you'll never do anything meaningful. It doesn't have meaning for you...and you'll build that legacy through the actions of your life. It will effect others. You got it all wrong Harkness.

I believe in Exsistensialism the belief that life has no meaning and we have the freedom to choose and there isn't anything stopping me. Doing nothing is a choice but remember freedom is celebrated as a good thing but it has its dark sides. Like all things in life. In the future, I might be forgotten 80 or 100 years. That's why I am working hard so my name is timeless and I want my children and their children to speak well of me, With the work and love I poured in the years I existed, A life where I made someone breathe easier and make their lives better, Is a well-lived life in my opinion.
