Lol my t40 had a hole in it yesterday fixed it there and then so still got out but had think I’m going to to redo it with clamps waiting on the the 2 part glue as I’m told it’s better I live in Cornwall and go out from fowey a lot Good vid man 🤙 😂
Yes it feels good to be back on the water in our new boat setup!!! I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with the T40 it’s a lovely boat, a good size and built strong. With the 20hp it should move along nicely. I’m not so sure about moving the boat around without a trailer though. I’m not sure my son and I would manage it as it’s a lot heavier than our old setup. You will definitely need 2-3 men to manoeuvre it on transom wheels and the 20hp quint be a lightweight either. Sound like your in for a fun summer though but I think you might struggle to launch the boat single handed. Sorry to be negative about your purchase but I’m just being honest with you so you know what your letting yourself in for 🥴 Have fun mate👍
Thanks for watching, hope your enjoying our videos? That slipway is only open at certain times. I’ve put all the times in the video description for you guys so you don’t have a wasted trip or any disappointment on arrival👍
Love watching your videos mate,, if you ever need anything fixing on the engine my dad's been a marine engineer for 45 years and will always help you out mate and he's only tilehurst.. hope you and the family are well
Ahh thanks Tom!!!! Yes I’ll definitely bare that offer in mind if I get stuck with anything. If I can’t tune the carbs to their potential then I might give you a shout if that’s ok? Thanks for watching mate!!!!👍
My mates dads old house! Many a party in there and that’s where my boat came from! I’ve not got the old rib that used to love there. Unfortunately, it got sold when my friends dad passed away and it’s kinda going to ruin now 😢
after a trip with trailer the wheel hub heats up then when you drive into water it cools down fast and sucks in water and dirt into bearings . more so with breaked trailers or a hot day .
I will definitely be doing a top speed run video. One run before the carb tune up with the bad propeller, one with the carb tuned up and then one with the new propeller. If I feel I’m not getting enough speed with the size of propeller it’s already running then I might buy a bigger one to see if I any any further gains out of it so there might be a forth speed run if I’m not satisfied with the performance, lol! And yes, after all the work I’ve put into the boat I can’t wait to see her zipping along either 😜 Thanks for watching Ryan!!!👍
@@Budgee197 great stuff I have a similar setup t40 with a 25hp I have thought about prop changing however I can’t find a decent prop comparison video, I look forward to it 👍
Thanks for watching and I’m pleased to hear you enjoyed our videos!!! Yes, my engine stays on the transom full time. It did come with a transom saver when I purchased it but it was so old and rusty I had to remove it, it was totally rotten. I do plan on buying a new one as this engine is a lump just bouncing about when being trailered, god knows the stresses the transom is under without it. Every little helps maintain the boats integrity I suppose. You should definitely take all measures to make sure you boat is safe for use to save any disasters on the water!! Trust me I’ve learned the hard way and it has cost me dearly, lol!
Those are the genuine honwave wheels on my boat but any wheels should work just fine. The honwave ones are super expensive but they came on the boat when I bought it, about £320 😮. Save yourself some money and get some off amazon or Boatworld. You shouldn’t be paying more than £40-£70 max. Honestly they all do the same thing. Only 1 thing is, try and get some with inflatable tyres , not hard rubber or plastic ones and you’ll be good 👍😁
To be completely honest with you you are genuinely the first person that has asked to actually buy one of my stickers. I was thinking of opening an online merchandise store for my viewers but haven’t got round to it yet. This has definitely prompted me to get moving with it!! If your look me up on Facebook, my real name is James Hancock, friend request me and then send me a private message with your address I will send you a couple out to you for free this time round! Thanks so much for watching, it really means a lot to us the people are enjoying our content and definitely inspires us to keep push more new videos for your entertainment!!😁

This video reminds me of the same situation i had e few years ago.Same thing, bearings where gone.Replaced them myself .Watched this video th-cam.com/video/SQX4Uh6Z8wI/w-d-xo.html and it worked out fine!Dont forget the wheel ,does it have the right pressure?
Yes I should of definitely done the bearing on the trailer beforehand. We live and learn hey, lol! It made for an interesting video with an added bit of drama anyway 😂 and yes my next job was to check the tyre pressures, one side was at 20psi and the other was about 38psi. I wasn’t entirely sure what the correct pressure should be so I set then to 40psi both sides and the tyre said the max pressure shouldn’t exceed 60psi I was a bit confused?🥴 do you think 40psi is a bit higher , should I run them about 30-35????🤔

Interesting to see you are in Reading. I'm in Thatcham and sometimes launch on the Thames too
Absolutely fantastic mate . Glad your new boat and engine is going well . All the best to you both .
Great to see you back on the water. Just ordered a new t40 with Honda 20 to replace my Avon rib, really can’t be dealing with a trailer anymore.

Have a Honwave T35 and 20hp tohatsu, do you trailer engine on transom and if so do you use a transom saver? Great vids btw

Hey, what transom wheels do you have fitted and are they any good?

Hi bro Hope your keeping well.
Just a quick one do I need a licence to go on River Thames in Reading .
i always oil or grease threads and in 35 years and many diffrent cars never had a wheel nut undo by its self
She’s rated for 7 people and I’ve had 7 in there. It’s a bit of a squeeze but well do’able
To be fair mate I’ll never have more than 4 people anyway so it’s more than I need👌
Do you need a licence to go on the Thames?
Will it be OK to have a budgee sticker please and if so what price are they thanks.
