- so today was the big test!!!!!
will my puncture patch and my repair in the floor hold up to a water test with the boat loaded with 2 people, 2 dogs and all our gear?
Im so excited to announce this invitation for you to come out on the water with us. Bring your boats, any size, make and model is welcome to join us as long as it is a motorised boat, no canoes or paddle boards. unfortunatly we wont be doing any fishing but please feel free to bring a fishing rod if you would like to spur off from the group and try your luck at catching your evening meal, lol!
please bring your own food and drink for the day, preferabaly a packed lunch would be the best option, plus any snacks you might want. there are many pubs and resturants for an evening meal in poole quey, a 5 min walk from the slipway. there is a tesco express also at poole quey.

you can enter up untill 14th June 2024 and the winner will be announce on 15th June 2024. by a live video!
Safety and plans for the day:
we are going to meet up on Saturday 29th june 2024 at about 8am at the boat ramp at baiter park in poole, address below. We hope to set sail approximately 9am. {best to come as early as possible to make sure you can get parked, it can get VERY busy}.

car and trailer FEES which include harbour fees: £17.30 6am-midnight
minimum boat requirements:
1: All boats must be in a good sea worthy condition!
2: All boats attending should have a life jacket for every person on board!
3: every boat must have a vhf radio or mobile phone to call for help in the avent of an emergency.
4: all boats need to respect the speed limits while inside the harbour.
5: All boat owners must be responsable for themselves and their passengers.
weather permitting we wiil head out of the harbour to the studland bay area {swim stop for 1 hour}. We will have a sneak peak at harrys rock. we will then head back into the harbour for some lunch {your packed lunch}.

Glad the boat was ok, with the wheel bearings, have bearing savers on mine, which fit on instead of the hub caps.
These are great and have made mine last years longer than they did before

Glad to see your repairs are a success as for your trailer Pack the wheel bearings with fresh grease and they probably be ok. Do you wash/hose your trailer after each beach launch? It's as important to wash that down as it is to flush your engine
Yes, I wash it down religiously. I even run soapy water with a sponge as well to clear any salt, boat trailer and engine every time. Like you said I’ll probably pack it with a load of fresh grease and it should be fine. The boat was only in the sea twice with the new wheel bearings so they can’t be finished already!!!!! The trailer has been sat for a while though so I’ll put it down to that.

No bother yes I supose it has been sant now for a while, no bearing defo shouldn't be shot unless you load it up on day trips regularly. A bit of greese should sort you out.

hi budgie nice video pal , how much was it to use the slipway and do you need a water licence to go on the thames ?
The slipway is free to use but you need to get the key for the slipway gate from the boat shop. I don’t have any license but I don’t go through any lochs while testing my boat. If you want to go further you would need to get a license from the environment agency website!

No bike at the moment unfortunately 😢
I don’t have space for a bike as the boat takes the whole garage! I live in a flat and there nowhere safe to keep it dry off road.

The stresses and strains when out in the open sea, will be a good test for the repair job.
