Who has any authority to remove anything from the bible?

No one has authority, absolutely NO ONE...the evil Vatican is an apostate, anti Christ system and defies the true God & does what it wants to because their god is the temporary god of this realm, satan. They did it to hide the completeness of scripture but those who hunger and thirst for righteousness will be filled, will be led to the fullness of scripture.
The people who compiled the Bible - as lead by the Holy Spirit, that’s who.
True ( bibles are different in different countries and even over time) - and who decided to compile the sacred scripture scrolls into "a Bible"? Why should we trust the men and councils that decided this? Why do we assume they were led by the Holy Spirit?
Read the "forbidden" texts ***and test them*** against each other - there are books that help bring deeper understanding and a fuller picture.
Think about what you said.... Following your logic - I had a divine conversation with God - The Gospel of Murphy- no one should take this away. All writings should be added by no one is authorized to remove it, according to you.
Honestly, I wish the story of Darius and the three bodyguards in 1 Esdras 3-4 really happened, as it's a really neat little story. It's still possible that it really happened though, so I like to think that it did, it just didn't end up in the canonical Ezra.
In the Orthodox Study Bible we have I Ezra, II Ezra, and Nehemiah. We do not have apocalyptic Ezra in our canon.
yes it's strange because in the Russian Bible 2 Esdras (Ezra Apocalypse) is the last book in the OT after 3 Maccabees and it's called 3 Esdras (Ezra and Nehemiah = 1 Esdras and Neemias and 1 Esdras = 2 Esdras).
Good explanation. I'm Roman Catholic and my Catholic Bible doesn't have 1 or 2 Esdras or the Prayer of Manasses. I also have an old KJV with Apocrypha from the 1950s and that's how I found out about them

I don't get it. 1 Esdras and the book of Ezra seem to be written by the same author, because in some verses the difference between them is almost word-for-word. So is 1 Esdras a compiled and edited version of the book of Ezra?
One theory is that 1 Esdras was written by someone else, who compiled material from Chronicles and Ezra and Nehemiah. Another theory is that it was originally the same document as Chronicles-Ezra-Nehemiah but underwent different manuscript transmission edits over a couple centuries. I'm not sure we'll ever have a satisfactory answer in this life!

I've never heard of that theorised before. As far as I understand it, 1 Esdras is simply a parallel account to what Ezra and the Chronicler recorded.
It was Greek. Flavius Josephus quoted it in Antiquity of the Jews over the Hebrew Ezra as scripture.
1st Esdras and Ezra are the same
No they technically aren't. 1 Esdras starts with Josiah keeping the passover. It's different from the Book of Ezra.

I haven't; 2 Esdras is a great deal longer and more complicated, so it'd take a while to study and prepare.

In one of his letters Paul equated Christ with wisdom, "lady wisdom" is not the holy spirit.
