You might be here for the quirky music vids, you might be here for the churchy vids, or if you're really odd you might be here for both. Take your pick!
Before the COVID lockdown, I generally rotated through five subject areas, doing one video a week, though not necessarily in the same order each time: Liturgy/Worship, Theology/Doctrine, Homily/Sermon, Biblical Studies, and Doctor Who.
For the most part, this channel exists to supplement the blogs I keep, so if you're more interested in one subject than another, you may prefer to subscribe to the appropriate blog - links are below!

Still Christmas: Salvation and Joy with Jeremiah
I was raised with the 1662 BCP in the Church of England and have never deviated from it. Good luck finding a church in England these days that holds a service using the 1662 version.
Great Job, Matthew!
Thank you for that explanation. ✝️🙏❤️

I came to this video to learn about the books of Maccabees in a greater means to go deeper with God and as soon as I play the video, I hear October 16th, which is my birthday being mentioned and it made me feel the love of God, he see’s how I am inspired by him to know more about him, his love really is crazy for us
I would trust the Ethiopian orthodox and the Middle Eastern Christian’s on what books and Christian fundamentals are truth and false the romans, Greeks all can’t be trusted
Hi Matthew, I've been searching for a rendition of this song for a while. So cool to hear. Very skilful from you, nice work!
right now my favorite is the 1928 and the 2019 is a close second. I attend a TEC so as a small token of solidarity, I do the Daily Devotions For Individuals and Families from the 1979 BCP, but for full Office I pray 1928.
Is Jeremy and Jeremiah the same person ?
Yes, the one is just an old version of the other.
Whitsun Day also comes from the fact that it was finally wrm enough for baptisms in England, and so there were newly baptized folks in their white baptismal clothes, so I've been told.
This was a great presentation and summary of these ideas. I assumed you discovered this synthesis from Martin Thornton. But you never mentioned him. I just wondered why. I listen to this again.
Thank you so much for this video. It was really helpful. I've been investigating this issue for several years and I thought it was funny that a couple of years ago I came up with the idea of impanation without knowing that it was something other people had proposed or believed. Today I learned from you that another idea I had been considering also had a name and a history, parallelism. It's really encouraging to learn that I'm not totally crazy and all on my own with some of these ideas. I'm just a pool service guy from Arizona that attends a restorationist Christian Church and over the years I've learned a ton from Anglicans. Thanks again and God bless you.
Good stuff
I used to have a cat called Mithril. My parents got him when he was born sometime in 1998 (Before I was born) His eyes were lime green and his fur and nose were dark grey. Also, he really loved to lie in or on top of boxes. It was a really sad morning when he passed on in August 2013; after all, he was Mom's favourite.
your left side audio is much hoter than the right ..meaning we hear you much louder on the left (i am audio engeenier) also nice content my bro!!!!
This is Just simply amazing
I am curate who is going to be priested next year and this video has been useful to get to grips with the various doctrine on the Eucharist. For some time I have adopted a more Orthodox view that we can never know exactly what Jesus does so for me it is a mystery. We come to Jesus in faith and receive him with him being present during the whole service. If I had to choose on and am sure that my training incumbent will put put me on the spot when it comes to my priesting then it would probably be instrumentalism rather than transubstantiation. I am serving in a high church parish but my sending church was more central. This is why prayer A from Common Worship resonates more because of the position of the epiclesis. Genuflecting may be an issue as we may be poles apart on this. You ae right about the articles of religion and the more Catholic practices not being part of our tradition. Things here are a product of history and the church being polarised because of the Oxford Movement. We have some parishes that are higher than Rome and are pretty well Anglican in name only. Then we have a strong evangelical wing that follow the memorialist approach where it is nothing more. Lets just say that I had some interesting discussions whilst on placement.
What a lovely kitty was Mithril. So sorry for your loss!
Great video, very informative.
I had some black people keep referencing esdras 6:50-59 saying that im gonna be a slave ??? What is wrong with some people

First time watching you and your video. Some disturbing things, and some "holes" in your garment. You completely ignored the BIG thing that separated the Anglican Book of Common Prayer from all other liturgies and for instance the "1941 Lutheran Service" Hymnal/liturgy with the three Creeds. {[ I was married in a WELS Lutheran church back when, and they used the A.V. from the pulpit and a the 1941 "Lutheran Service" Hymnal in the pews. Sadly, they (The W.E.L.S.) punked out and switched to the horrid NIV and a new (but NOT improved) Service book.] We/I left and started attending a Calvary Chapel branch, a Church of The Nazarene and a serious Bible-believing Baptist church (no John 3:16 every week "altar call stuff"). I hold to Believers Baptism, but I also like the Cranmer Liturgy and a litany, and Hymns with an organ. Thankfully there is You Tube so I can see/hear a liturgical church service. ]} The big difference, the important thing is the "Thirty-Nine Articles of Religion" AND ----- Verrrry importantly: The Collects/prayers from the pen of Archbishop Cranmer. Cranmer's English is worshipful, majestic and makes a person think of the thrice Holy God, instead of this earthly system. The Lutheran liturgy is good, but it was translated from the German into English, and is not quite as good as Cranmer-speak. That is the big difference between Lutheranism, The R.C.C. and the E.O. churches. They all have a Liturgy, but not like the Reformed Distinctives of the 39 Articles of Religion. Too many Anglicans and Episcopalians have NEVER read the 39 Articles of Religion. They are not guided by Scripture or the B.O.C.P. because they are unregenerate liberals. They change with the wind. As a Church History Professor (A Presbyterian, Dr. John Gerstner) said in a Church History lecture ---> "Episcopalians take an Ordination oath, but they LIE!. They do NOT believe the Holy Bible is the God-breathed scripture, and they do NOT hold to the distinctives of the 39 Articles of Religion." I think he was totally correct. The 39 Articles of Religion rightly says that the Church of Rome, Alexandria, Jerusalem, Antioch, are in error. {They should have added Athens.} I was Christened in a physically beautiful Episcopal Cathedral six decades ago. I would not ever return to that place because it is now a cauldron of apostates. A homosexual Bishop and a lesbian "Priest" and ZERO doctrinal instruction. I have my grandma's 1928 B.O.C.P. and that volume is wonderful, but it is ignored in the modern leftist-liberal Episcopalian/Anglican gatherings. The 1928 B.O.C.P. uses the Psalter of the "The Great Bible", which is quite good. I also have the 1559 Elizabethan Prayer Book, and the 1662 B.O.C.P. Maybe, I will purchase a 1935 Reformed Episcopal B.O.C.P. if I see one at an Estate/Garage/Moving sale. I was given a 1979 book and an N.I.V. as gifts from someone who had lots of books, and who thought I was "religious" - I said: "Thank You", and I took them home and used them as fireplace kindling. Liberal Bible translations and liberal books lead to liberalism and apostasy. You disparage the tried-and-true Authorized Version. {At least that is the "vibes' I got from you.} The A.V. 1611, (revised for spelling in 1769) is excellent English language. NOT American High School Dropout / drugged-out / sports fan language or elementary school dropout "cockney" noise. The A.V. has EXACT words such as Thou, Thee, Thine, Thy. Those are SINGULAR words. Ye, and You are PLURAL words. A "Thou" is NOT the same as a "Ye". Turn to John chapter 8 verses 1 to 11 for an example: A woman is caught in Adultery, but not the guy. When The Lord Jesus is talking to the group of accusers he says: "you". When He talks to her alone, He uses the word "thee". Legal contracts and Insurance policies use EXACT words. So did The Almighty when He met with Mr. Moses on the mountain. The modern versions have ruined the message from God, The Holy Ghost to us humans by using stupid and "easy" words instead of the exact / correct / proper words. {[ Exactly why the Hymns are rarely sung nowadays because the average video game playing / sit-com watching / techo-tunes person would rather sing generic junk that says 7 times over "God digs me 'cause I'm cool", yah, yah, yah", instead of singing a hymn such as "How Great Thou Art", "Abide with me", "Our God, Our Help in Ages Past", "O Dearest Jesus, What Law Hast Thou Broken", "Christ The Lord is Risen Today", "I Heard the Voice of Jesus Say", "How Firm a Foundation, Ye Saints of the Lord", "Stand Up! ---Stand Up for Jesus". "The Church's One Foundation". If someone tasked with revising a Prayer Book / Liturgical book, Guidebook, used a trashy, modern faux-bible version such as the R.V. of 1881, The A.S.V. 1901, the R.S.V. (which denies the virgin birth at Is. 7:14), The N.I.V., the N.I.r.V., the N.A.S.V. the E.S.V., the N.K.J.V., The H.S.B., The N.L.T., G.N.B./T.E.V., or one of the R.C. versions, they are using books that are missing words, sentences, paragraphs. Why? Because 95% of the M.V.'s use bad, sketchy, missing parts, bogus Greek (Nestle-Aland // "Alexandrian" // R.C. Latin N.T. texts) and bad Hebrew texts as their baseplate, instead of the T.R Greek and Masoretic Hebrew Texts. If I was a bettin' man, I would bet at least 1 dollar that the apostates that came up with the "dumbed-down" mealy-mouthed liberal 1979 Prayer book used the "modern versions" to bolster their liberal-lefto-apostate ideas. Most of the modern versions try to dethrone The Lord Jesus Christ. {[ If the 2019 Prayer Book was generated / written/ produced by the "Anglican Church In North America" (I Think that is what you said and another video maker also), and the A.C.N.A. allows women to be Ordained, then they are an apostate, liberal group that does NOT believe scripture is from God Almighty. The qualifications of Bishops, Elders & Deacons are plainly set forth by the Apostle Paul in 1st Timothy chapter 3 verses 1 to 13. Also see Titus 1:5-14. Good men, husbands, able to govern his own kids well, and his own personal finances, with a good reputation and a sound judgement. Elders sound be able to teach/preach. The deacons are for work around the church and helping people with food, etc.. Women are NOT allowed to teach because as Paul correctly reminds them ---> it was Eve that was deceived by the serpent, not Adam. If a group allows women to be ordained, then they are on slippery slope to apostasy and will also tolerate and accommodate and eventually promote the people that were condemned to death in Leviticus 18, verses 22 to 30.]} That "dumbing down' of the English language is a big reason why even Born-again believers are so ignorant and confused that they get tripped up if a Mormon or a J.W. comes knocking at the door. I suggest that thee (Matthew Brench) contact the "Trinitarian Bible Society" and read the several free Articles they have on the website and get their pamphlets and booklets explaining why the A.V is the best translation of the Holy Bible in the English language. www dot TBS-sales dot org Is. 40:8

There is no "lent" taught in God's Word, it is another man-made burden of the Papacy. (There are MANY!) God bless!
You will find many fasts and many forty-day periods of cleansing in the scriptures. Moreover, the Church has called for organized fast times much longer than the papacy has been around. Fear not, and God bless!
