This is a great video! Thanks for sharing your story with us! I recently started to read books again as well. I think so many are craving a more authentic life, as it used to be before social media. It’s nice to be able to connect with others who aren’t in your local area, but you just can’t beat that real life community.
Thank you! Honestly, I'm craving it so much! Even at the yoga studio, people seldom make eye contact or talk to one another. I have to introduce myself and start conversations. So far, every time I've gone to the community garden it's empty, not a soul there! It's very peaceful and I love doing the work solo, but I really want to meet people there and learn from other gardeners. It's still very early in the season though (it just snowed yesterday) so I will just keep going back until I get to work together with other people! 😅
@@CasaDuroTinyHome the pandemic exacerbated things as well. It will take some time for people to come out of their shell and rewind back, but it’s definitely an emerging trend. It’s so nice to have a blend of the old with new!
I start all conversations. All. It's never like somebody just told me anything or say hi. Beside men who want dating nad loose interests when I tell them I'm off the dating market already ;). (I WANT TO CLARIFY that in Poland being approached is not a bad thing and it's done usually with respect. Men are respectful, as well as women with rejection).
Love it! I did the same thing, I deleted instagram on my phone and now I check it once a week on the PC. I live more in present and I started to read books again too!
Great video! I was talking with my coworker today how I rarely take photos now. If there’s a rainbow that is bright and will disappear, I’ll take a photo (or 10). My cats star in my photos. Me? Not so much. What I’m doing, food, I don’t post photos often so I don’t take them much anymore. I don’t watch TH-cam nearly as much as I used to and instead I too am inhaling books. I even started to write my own. These apps are interesting. They can be fun. They can also suck a lot of your time away from living your life.
100% it was such a time suck! I do still love TH-cam though. I love how this platform allows for people to express their thoughts and creativity with no time constraints. Some people really are making true works of art here, or posting very thought provoking conversations like podcast style. But all the other platforms I could do without. I've never used Twitter but I know it's similar, just a black hole of time you will never get back!
@@CasaDuroTinyHome Twitter was the worst. I do like Threads. I get lots of Taylor Swift stuff on Threads and, for now, everyone is nice. Oh and lots of book posts too. I love TH-cam. I’ve dabbled making videos but it never lasts too long and in the end I’d rather consume YT than create. So now I’m reading far more and even writing! So many more doors can open up once you close some social media ones.
Looooooooooove this! Loved the video, the message, your narration, everything! Also, I'm so glad that you are finding new ways to connect to yourself and the world around you. You inspire me on the daily!
Yo, Stace.....a page from Adelina? VERY WELL PUT. Love your videos always. You are such a warm and open person. Thank you for this. I believe your observations and points here are spot on. Cheers.
I absolutely love the message shared in this video and the questions that you presented to our headspaces. It's something to truly think about and to bring awareness to our minds. The narration was absolutely beautiful. Thank you for being so genuine and inspiring.

I appreciate your sharing your journey. Now I want to see if there's a community garden near me that needs volunteers. 💚
I hope you find one in your area! It's such a great way to spend the evenings now that we have more sunlight hours ☺
I so needed this 💖
Well done! Enjoy it all.
Thank you so much! 💕
I quit instagram a long time ago. I wish I never started it.
