I learned a couple of things from this video, mainly to balance the breaks b4 you hook everything up and that turning the spring tensioner screw clockwise makes the break arm pull away from the rim. Thanks!

*The Park Tool video calls for lubrication on the outer surfaces of the posts. The bolt threads, conversely, should be dry for the Loctite.*

Great vid, clear, well filmed, and great-looking bike! Question, I'm having a problem assembling a new bike where the quick release neck on quick release tube (aluminum J) does not slide into opening of quick release lever. Is this a common issue and what's the fix? I'm afraid to open the cut-out and weaken the part. Bike came with all parts in the box, not mix and match. Thanks for the vid...you should have more views!

What about installing V-brakes on a racebike? I've never seen that but they would be much more efficient than the classic brakes, I guess. However, is it technically possible?

My new brakes came with the adjustment screws so loose one was out and the other 3 were just one thread in. Do you have to screw them down either all the way or halfway in or anything before installing? No way one thread in is ok a bump in road would of shook them out. Thanks

I bought a set of those brake Calipers (front/rear), how to tell which one go on the front and which one go on the rear?.....

Every vid talks about the three holes the arm nubs mount into but none say how the three holes affect brake action and which offers quicker return and response of the lever. ? But, all-in-all good vid!

I was told no grease on the bolt threads cause it defeats the purpose of the loctite that's on there

Agreed and he doesn't mention the two different sized washers on the pads used for different fork gaps, had many customers with v-brakes set at 10 to 2... :)
Also find it easier to align the pads to the rim with the brake springs unhooked.

I noticed the new Shimano brake arms did not sit flush with the bosses. There’s a few mm gap. Did that bother you at all?

Why did you only show the front brake. Trying to figure out how to remove the back brake bolt that threads into my frame, then into the brake.
