Pretty much the same feelings as I had initially. It's fun and different. Really enjoy the Smash the Star mode, but not that into Happy Bath Survival. If there's another beta, I'll probably try maining a different character. Hopefully the other modes that weren't revealed are ones I can get into more. Good first impression overall. I'll admit I saw this as some budget Splatoon ripoff, but was genuinely surprised with it. My only main concern is that this is a third party multiplayer game that is exclusive to only PlayStation. Hopefully it has a bright future ahead and doesn't get scrapped in a year or two.
@@BlueCrimson10 Splatoon focuses on having more territory inked than the other team while this puts more emphasis on taking out players and using foam to traverse faster, block enemy bubbles, and make leveled platforms/bubble terrain TL;DR = Splat is a terf shooter and this isn't
So lemme see if I get this straight. We have a Hero Shooter with gameplay of Kid Icarus: Uprising's PvP with Splatoon elements. That's an interesting cocktail for sure.
Those were my thoughts as well I played the shit out of Light vs. Dark mode online years back and seeing the star player system have similarities to the player becoming Pit/Dark Pit makes me wanna play foamstars even more
@@blackxprice Yeah, I read about this in an article when Foamstars was still in Alpha - I knew right away what the gameplay was based off of, and it wasn't Splatoon, thank god.

With how fast FF7 Ever Crisis got a steam port less than a month after launch, there's hope for this as well, assuming it does well (I hope it does)
Watch some gameplay or play the beta yourself. Probably the best way to understand how it's different, even if there are similarities.
