Straightforward. Thanks.
You are welcome!
How do you clone an internal (APFS) SSD to a new SSD?
The best installation ever
Thanks! 🙌
Thank you.
You are welcome!
I want to upgrade my old macbook pro 2011 running on High Sierra. Was watching a lot of youtube videos and some people do it the way you did it and other use cloning program like super duper e.t.c. Could you explain whats a difference? I just ordered a new 1T ssd and Sabrent data adapter to do your way. Just don't understand why they use third party program if it's simple to do your way?
I honestly haven't use that software. I think you can also do with Time Machine but they way I do, it is probably the more reliable. It does work, my computer is running faster. Thanks for your comment!
I’ve tried the method as described but it failed to copy after selecting restore. I have an iMac 2017 with Ventura. Superduper worked for me and found it easy to use. I recommend it to anyone.
Ok Thank you.
Your welcome!
Does the new ssd imma put in have to be the same size gigs ? I have 120 gb sss and I wana put a 1tb ssd
Not really, It coud be any size.
I don't get the same options. No MAC OS Extended (Journaled). Only options I have is APFS. I don't see a Scheme option either.
late to the party, but same thing here. so, i unmounted the drive on the mac, took it to another mac and had the options available when doing the erase-format step. re-plugged the ssd into the other mac. re-did the erase at the MAC OS Extended (Journaled) option was available.
wow is very simple
Yes, indeed.
Very simple process, just that it stuck with the bar almost at the end for more than 1 hour, and okha only had 180GB of data.
So the HD was very slow. iMac 2019
Try to do it again.
@@SoIDoNotForget works correctly, delay 2.5hours
My said failed to restore.
:(. Sometimes I just repeat the process.
@@SoIDoNotForget I have repeated more than half a dozen times already.
@@seekwithlove sorry to hear that I wish I had the answer on this one.
@@SoIDoNotForget no worries. You did your best.
