Demonstration of the ResusciTimer Rescue Breathing mode

This video demonstrates the use of the ResusciTimer in Rescue Breathing mode.
The first part of the video demonstrates the monitor parameters when the caregiver is providing rescue breathing according to AHA guidelines. Note that the pacing lights remain green as long as the breathing pattern is between 9 and 11 breaths per minute (adult settings), the airway pressure remains below 60 CmH20, and the inspiratory time is between 1 second and 1.4 seconds.
If the caregiver bags at a rate or pressure outside of these parameters, as is demonstrated in the second portion of the video, the pacing lights will turn red to indicate that AHA guidelines are not being followed.
This monitor is the first of its kind to provide a "speedometer" for bagging technique. It is available through most EMS distributors and it is made by Allied Healthcare Products.
