If Airborne Warships were added, the round types are as follows 1. High Explosive High Explosive Rounds would range from 1 inch to 21 inches, high Explosive with a timed detonation fuses are effective against air targets like ground attack due to their damage capabilities 2. Armor Piercing AP or Armor Piercing rounds are effective against ground targets and even Other Airborne Warships, the air naval battle of Berlin for example shows 7 Airborne Fleets using Armor Piercing Rounds against German Warships, Bunkers, and Airborne Warships 3. Aerial Torpedoes Aerial/Airborne Torpedoes are modified Torpedoes that have stubby wings, and depending on the models, would have prop motors, rocket motors or jet engines, and depending on the technology used, could be laser guided, heat seaking, AG- *beats the everliving HELL out of my demon* There, like I said, Laser Guided, Heat Seaking or simply unguided, immobile targets like Hovering fortresses if they are also added, require unguided or Laser Guided Airborne Torpedoes, mobile targets like Airborne Warships require Heat Seaking Airborne Torpedoes and Airborne Torpedoes have three warheads - High Explosive Effective against Airborne Targets, even Aerial Warships as well, the only downside is that its effective against Airborne Warships with thin armor or just no armor at all - Armor Piercing Also be effective against warships with thick armor but not against aircraft - Armor Piercing High Explosive APHE or Armor Piercing High Explosive warheads are very effective against Airborne Warships not just with thick but also thin and no armor 4. Missiles Obviously, Modern Warships have missiles, same goes with Airborne Warships, long story though 5. Flak Rounds Long story, not gonna read

@@lostinthesauce6409 Reminds me of the hvap shells for the ho 229 long ago. They were more effective than the he at everything. Occasionally gaijin will screw up the damage caused by some shells. That said, hei aren't particularly good at the moment. no real damage from the high explosive, and setting things on fire is difficult at the moment. Also, it depends on whether you shoot along the wing or not. HE will only damage what it hits. ap will go through, so you're more likely to hit the internal structures that actually hold the wing in place.
i'd just like to point out that for defensive belts i'd recommend incendiary than armour piercing as you can make their engine blow up or catch fire more easily than go for the pilot if it is a single engine plane. For the german defensive 13mm the default is better than the armoured targets as it comes with an incendiary round that will work wonders when the enemy catches fire.
Air targets on Brit Hispano MkV is based. (Allthough do feel like the frag damage chance was nerfed slightly, remember just wrecking house in air AB with the last typhoon only needing approx 1sec burst to get a kill, but not its just constant sparks or missing some how.
That was too basic, almost the same as reading the ammo name and get the obvious conclusions. We would like techinical data, the projectiles speed, weight, sparking chances, drop and the damage each projectile does, the change of putting fire on a plane... It's clear that every part of the plane as a kind of armor/health... and very few parts of the plane are armored. Will the different projectiles do different damages? How many damage a AP would do more than a standard Ball bullet on a wing? Would AP be always best than standard or it would have any kind of advantages, like based on range or the drop? I noticed that some updates ago the AP started to wipe wings very easily and the incendiary does almost no damage, but only put planes on fire... you are used to buff/nerf projectiles a lot of times and we are never informed, we just need to luckly find it out on every update... You didn't gave us any kind of hint about the diferent changes to put a plane on fire with I/API/IT/HE/IAI (and so on) type of projectiles. You didn't gave us anything about the changes of sparking/ricochet of ammons at diferent angles, distances and speed. Like, what would be the best ammo for shooting at 1km... would it be AP or HE? Will AP got a reduced damage? And HE, it will do the same damage because of the explosion effect? There are so many quest you may answer. When you are in a bomber and dive, you have greatly increased chances of killing your enemy, like increased damage as your bullet speed plus the enemy speed increases the damage while the persuing airplane will kind to reduced damage as you are faster and the bullet impact is slower... or ir is just about the distance the bullet fly? You cleary loves to say "we are better than WoW as we dont have HP bars", but it is VERY CLEAR that we have HIDDEN HP for every part/module of the planes... but unlike most of the games, we don't have the damage of projectiles as you are afraid to say "yes we have hidden HP for each plane module", as a prove we have the upgrades for +5% and +10% "HP" for the plane parts. For example, an 12mm AP shell may have like 30% damage on a wing each shot at 500m, making 4 shoots as same part fatal. And about a API? 20% damage (needing 5 shoot to break the wing) and with like 35% changes of putting plane on fire? And about IT ? 5% damage and 40% fire chances or it would be 15% damage and 20% fire chances? Help us!! Why we can't know those hidden settings? We know you use somekind of damage calculation, show it to us. Is there any kind of lucky shoots? Like, there is 1% chance that one hit on wing will break it instantly with 7mm, 5% with 12mm and 20% with 20mm+ ?? It's no secret that planes like Ju-87, IL-2 and HS-129 have increased HP on many parts, even when there is no armor... why we can't see it? Every online "shooter" let you know your weapon damage and your enemy HP, and it is just and aerial shooter... please give us acess to information we need. It's not fair that you say "use tracers if you need precision" but a belt full of IT could give like 5% damage and 2% fire chances, making noobs need to hit like 10 shoots while a UNIVERSAL BELT with AP/AP/AP/API would kill a plane in like 4/5 shoots. In your video you just say "TRACER belts fire bullets with tracers, AIR TARGETS is good for AIR, GROUND TARGET is good for GROUND and STEALTH fire invisible(stealth shoots), come on, it didn't help anyone, we already read it millions times...
I recommend stealth for hunting enemy aircraft in tank RB, enemy planes are usually focused on tanks and won't notice you flying by trying to hit them if you use stealth
when i see a big caliber gun and small caliber gun on my plane *use stealth for the bigger caliber and tracer for the smaller caliber to guided my aim* IQ | | V
Meh, if you are using tracers from machine guns to guide your cannons, there is better ammo to use for your cannons. pros use stealth ammo because your enemy can't see it. If you still use tracers, you might as well use stronger belts like air targets.
If your going to use tracers from your machine guns to aim your bigger cannons, you might as well use stronger belts like air targets. The reason pros use stealth belts is because the enemy cannot see them. This advantage is negated if you have tracers on your other guns.
German 20mm APHE has lower penetration than their API. When flying in ground RB, remember that these 20mm API rounds can penetrate the top of some tanks - for example Centurion engine decks - and reliably ignite them, while 'armoured target' belts cannot. Universal belts have the highest density of API.
I myself love the Stealth Belt i mean why not? it tears apart any enemy aircraft you throw at it and it is also effective against light armored ground targets and Vehicles + if you know how to fly you can down a significant amount of enemy Planes and get away with
Stealth belts, not cause I'm a good shot because cause I'm not. Tracers are just a big warning "Here I am shooting at you!!" so stealth actually lets me get kills.

I love stealth because when i use any other belt, the enemy almost never dies but when i use stealth rounds it just feels like one shot, one kill. Dunno why

Hey gaijin i have a question for you. Why is the repair cost for the TU-4 at br 8.0 only 31500sl when you have to pay 55571sl for the B29 at br 6.3? i mean… the TU-4 is an almost exact copy of the b29. so could the repair cost might get a bit lowered so we don't lose a lot of money when playing these giant war machines.
Good question
It's called Russian bias
I use stealth on all my aircraft as I like to have the element of surprise and I like the help it brings with attacking others and not alerting the rest of the team when I miss
And it punches well
There are some Specific ammo Types that are still unknown to me.
One of the Rounds that I don't know what they are made for are the IAI Ammo Belt from the .50 of the Cheiftain Mk,3-5
IAI is treated as a small HE in war thunder
I use it mostly to Fake a Shot from a Long Distance.
But was it Made to seek out the Distance? or a Other Use?
@@neromastic4512 it is literally intended to shoot down air target...

Add a function to where we can see each individual shells characteristics like we can with "pure bred" belts with only one shell in them
That way I can know for example the HE filler and velocity of the 37 HE shell on the Migs.

Hispanos: a fantasy ammunition that completely strays away from its historical capabilities. Known to spark and damage equivalent to bb pellets.

AP or Armor Piercing is affective against armored targets, HE or High Explosive is affective against Air Targets specifically bomber aircraft
Stealth is for the people with good to perfect aim
Universal or Air Targets is for mid to good aim
Tracers Why aim Just hold or burst. If your aim is bad do it XD if your aim is good to perfect you are the most evil person there is.
Everything else if its not over a 30 or 50mm Armored targets not to useful unless over the MM i said previously.
Default.... is there even a choice... you start off with it.
But Remember everything here can spark off planes with 1 mm or none at all armour on wings. You have been warned!
People who have perfect aim use whatever shell is best for certain gun, people who use stealth have good aim but can only aim with that
@@georgegeorge9361 I can agree with people can use any other belt however stealth belt for me my aim is worse with it but as i see my shells i can adjust. Only some planes i can run Stealth with because to me i aim better with it.
i use tracers in the hurricane mk 2b because 12 MGs and the same for the p47 because apit
nah i am good with aiming but i have to be honest about the m20 tracers they work very fine. not explosive fine but great.
Thank you so much. Ive just started and i didnt kniw what the colours are or meant but now i do ☺
Maybe I'll be tracer
Im already Tracer
I hate y’all 😂😂😂
Im already Genji
Me too, those bullets scare the enemy 🤣
What about Widowmaker?
Historical Hitsparko stealth belt of course.

It looked like it was rewinding

Good guide. I wasn't sure how to explain the different types of ammunition to friends...
if u want us to test the ammo in test flights give us some AI aerial targets, how do u test ammunition on a t-34 and a milk truck?
Exactly!! Either that or attack allied bombers that they just added..but they dont even shoot back or evade so what's the point?
Jakub Libera and the game seems to think ur in an actual game and gives u the teamkill warnings
that's the test flight when you don't have the plane assigned to a crew because you can customize test flights to your liking
You can do it:
On the left down corner is a mission editor, you can set enemy planes there.
Does no one here except that 109 know about the mission editor, seriously that is retarded
I can vouch for the armored, i made the switch on my b17 and im happy with the results
Make fragment shell great again
Too many sparks now
The guy a few comments up called the hispanos "hisparkos"
Finally, I've been waiting for this video
please implement zoom for VR. I want to play WT again :_(
If Airborne Warships were added, the round types are as follows
1. High Explosive
High Explosive Rounds would range from 1 inch to 21 inches, high Explosive with a timed detonation fuses are effective against air targets like ground attack due to their damage capabilities
2. Armor Piercing
AP or Armor Piercing rounds are effective against ground targets and even Other Airborne Warships, the air naval battle of Berlin for example shows 7 Airborne Fleets using Armor Piercing Rounds against German Warships, Bunkers, and Airborne Warships
3. Aerial Torpedoes
Aerial/Airborne Torpedoes are modified Torpedoes that have stubby wings, and depending on the models, would have prop motors, rocket motors or jet engines, and depending on the technology used, could be laser guided, heat seaking, AG-
*beats the everliving HELL out of my demon*
There, like I said, Laser Guided, Heat Seaking or simply unguided, immobile targets like Hovering fortresses if they are also added, require unguided or Laser Guided Airborne Torpedoes, mobile targets like Airborne Warships require Heat Seaking Airborne Torpedoes and Airborne Torpedoes have three warheads
- High Explosive
Effective against Airborne Targets, even Aerial Warships as well, the only downside is that its effective against Airborne Warships with thin armor or just no armor at all
- Armor Piercing
Also be effective against warships with thick armor but not against aircraft
- Armor Piercing High Explosive
APHE or Armor Piercing High Explosive warheads are very effective against Airborne Warships not just with thick but also thin and no armor
4. Missiles
Obviously, Modern Warships have missiles, same goes with Airborne Warships, long story though
5. Flak Rounds
Long story, not gonna read
Yeah. Can this video tell me why 23mm HEI do nothing but hits. Whyle API farm wings?
Hei only for engine. You dont kill a Wall with a molotov.
Api kill wings not because they pen but they compromize structural integrity.
Xxx Xxx nope. Try using the Su-6 with VYA 23mm. One click of AP belt will blow people up. Also does this apply for ground vehicles? I mean SPAA?
@@lostinthesauce6409 ap create holes. 20mm create big holes. So big structural problems :D
AP plus i t he or other fillers cant do same damage is phisic. The mass is all in ap concept. And velocity. Dont use misc ammonition.
Xxx Xxx well i didnt get any thing from that comment but lemme explain. HE. HEI . wish supposed to doo short work of fighter and light skinned aircarft are horrible and do nothing but hits. Whule AP clip wings with ease.
"practice shells". I'm aware sometimes training squads were jumped or found an opertunity but in a game they're dumb
Easy ammo belts: 'murican .50 tracers.
Fun ammo belts: Hispano and AN/M cannons with stealth.
And that's basically all i know about ammo belts
Don't forget the legendary "7.7mm browning machine gun + practise belt" combo

Hi buddy
I have always used air to air belts for my turrets but I feel that next time I will look into armored target belts
STEALTH AMMO. MO CAMO.
In your video you just say "TRACER belts fire bullets with tracers, AIR TARGETS is good for AIR, GROUND TARGET is good for GROUND and STEALTH fire invisible(stealth shoots), come on, it didn't help anyone, we already read it millions times...
how long did it take u to write all that caus i'm not reading it
I recommend stealth for hunting enemy aircraft in tank RB, enemy planes are usually focused on tanks and won't notice you flying by trying to hit them if you use stealth
when i see a big caliber gun and small caliber gun on my plane
*use stealth for the bigger caliber and tracer for the smaller caliber to guided my aim*

Pssst.. dont say that too loud =P (btw. Hellcats and Italian lights dont like them as well)

My favourite one is the stealth one. Its amazing for boom/zoom and it deals whit target so much!
I myself love the Stealth Belt i mean why not? it tears apart any enemy aircraft you throw at it and it is also effective against light armored ground targets and Vehicles + if you know how to fly you can down a significant amount of enemy Planes and get away with
Finally an official guide!
I use primarily tracer belts, but it's more for psychological effect when you see a cloud of tracers flying toward a target
I mainly use stealth, for the psychological effect of the enemy suddenly taking damage from nowhere
Stealth ammo is the best. Also set gun convergence to 600m I've trired it with all my planes and it works well i get more kills now
Switched to stealth as soon as it was researched and am happy until now 😸👍
Ill be sure ti refer back to this video in the future as well
Stealth belts, not cause I'm a good shot because cause I'm not. Tracers are just a big warning "Here I am shooting at you!!" so stealth actually lets me get kills.
After this long time , finally you guys decide to make this video now ?
12.7 machine guns: immediately kills an enemy in 1 hit
20mm hispanos: *Sparks all over the places*
Low tier aircraft battles look like Star Wars because everyone goes full tracer. It's irritating but super awesome, especially in your first match.
