Anyone else screaming at him as to where the TEST switch was on the Overhead panel? Good review man. I've only seen a few of your videos in the past but good on you. It is not uncommon for multiengine helicopters to start the engines on alternating days. Like #1 on odd number days, and #2 on even number days. This distributes the wear over both engines instead of one getting taxed all the time.
Can you tell anything of the install process, Is it a download and install in community folder or does it involve having to go through some desktop installer, and also have to install this and that and you also need these and be running those etc
This is a preview and so the install is a bit different then the final product. It will most likely be desktop installer like H145, does not need to be runner when sim is.
Nice preview. I've never seen a plane release for any sim with as many preview copies being flung around as this one, I could just about go from now until release watching nothing but H160 previews !
So as someone who flies helos in DCS and hasn't played flight sim, I really might come over just for this aircraft. When you are doing slight input I see the bird is kind of twitchy and snappy instead of being sort of smooth or sluggish. It seems a little arcade like. Is that due to your control inputs or is that because of this module or maybe how helicopters handle in this sim?
Never sure how to answer this. It fly's very nice. AFCS is a very different kind of flying and you can always turn it off. If you enjoy DCS stay with it. If you want a h160 with extremely detailed systems, this is it.
I’ve flown helos DCS XP and MSFS. The auto trim makes fly slightly odd in sharper turns. I fly with the trim release on the more energetic manoeuvres which in the H145 in MSFS. Is very smooth. You can reduce the trim SAS in cfg of aircraft or trim release as per real life aircraft
