One of the songs I kind of liked when I was thirteen, but now love because it's an example of a time bubble and true pop rock masterpieces. Well done. Your guitar/pickups really like to distort/rock, too. It's an animal.
Loverboy was one of those I wasn't big on at the time but learned to love them later on. You bring out all of the intricacies of these "simple 80s" songs 👍💪🍻
Yes! 😀My working day just started 👍🏻 Japan is now Monday's early morning .(AM5:28)👍🏻 I have to get up from my bed. Your Wonderful Guitar Play help me a lot. Thanks ❤️目が覚めたぜえ!!ありがとう べんさん!
Paul Dean is a beast of a player. Him and Keith Scott of Loverboy. Might as well thrown in Pete Lesperance of Harem Scarem as well. Can’t forget Phil X either. Canada has some great guitar slingers.
Great performance of an awesome track, always brings happy feelings. Loverboy had plenty of great tracks though mostly more firmly in the pop-rock genre than I prefer. But Turn Me Loose has some great crunchy guitar parts and Break It To Me Gently is a hidden gem. Cheers
So many people get this song wrong, but this rendition is very close - it certainly captured the spirit of the song! Nice work and well played, I've watched it a few times and cannot help but bop along to your playing. It almost makes me want to dig out the guitars and try to play along (a medical condition makes playing guitar very difficult and painful for me now 😭)
Omg, did you ever rock this! This song is one of my favorite songs by Loverboy. I just wish I could remember the other one. Who knows one day I might come across you playing it. You're a very gifted and talented musician. Thanks for playing such great songs.
Iconic. This is the song Chris Farley and guest host Patrick Swayze danced auditioning for the male burlesque troupe Chippendales on SNL in 1990's :-) Perhaps one of the best SNL pieces ever produced! LOL! Every time I heard this song, that SNL piece popped into my mind! Of course, you nailed it as always! Here's what I'm talking about : th-cam.com/video/stqG2ihMvP0/w-d-xo.html
Most of the time yes. I will occasionally supplement the set up with trichorus pedals and a couple of effects in my recording software when I’m covering the likes of Steve Lukather, Michael Landau or Dann Huff, but I will mention that in the description.
@@bwm5150 I definitely will be picking one up, do you find the 50 is better than the newer models like the 70-100? By the way, thanks for your content, I've been searching for that 80s Pop/rock tone! And also, do you use the rock man often
@@andrewcrossman2165 I think the new models are more versatile and better value for money. I have made the most out of mine, and paired with the Palmer PDI-09, I found a sound I really like and one that is useful for these videos. I gigged with that set up too and it was fine but I could've used more flexibility, I don't use a Rockman for anything. I have had some of the units in the past but they are very limited in their use, in my opinion, even for the Def Leppard stuff. Cheers
May be you were joking in your comment about them not having any other hit songs, but they did have lots of other hits, like "Turn Me Loose" "The Kid is Hot Tonight" "Hot Girls in Love" "Lovin' Every Minute of it" "When it's Over" "Turn me loose".

A song forever linked with Patrick Swayze and Chris Farley, in my mind at least. Miss em both. Ace job, mate!
2:45 I've always liked that part with the gallop.
This song is over 40 years old and still kicks ass!
Great job!

Classic Rock anthem! Love it! Great Job Ben! Thank you!!
When digging into Canadian 80s rock, don't leave out Honeymoon Suite!
You nailed it👍One of the most powerful and greatest songs I've ever heard. Thanks Ben😊
That song gives off a competitive energy that's very contagious.
My favorite radio station in college always played this song at 5:00 pm every Friday for years. Awesome rendition, Ben!
Thanks George, haha my kind of radio station 😁👌
My older sister loved this group. Ok, and me too.
One of the first big albums produced by Bruce Fairbairn and engineered by Bob Rock
Nice job Ben great song I remember this got it in my 80s collection along with sunglasses at night, turn up the radio etc

Thanks! Yeah if you search my channel you’ll find my cover of Does It Feel Like Love.
Oh awesome! Can do you do When It’s Over or Turn me Loose
Maybe one day, thanks
@@bwm5150 Awesome! Any update when the Phil Collen In the Round series will resume? Or do you still not have access to that guitar
Nothing has changed since you last asked 😃
Great cover! Question: what model Charvel are you using? Sounds great!
Thanks! DK24
"Lovin' every minute" of it is a mutt lange track. Give that a try?
Certainly
Sometimes I think you play better than the original artists. I'll put in a request for the Top Gun Anthem.
Very kind, thanks! If you search my channel you’ll find the Top Gun Anthem.
❤👍👍👍🔥
You should do “When It’s Over”.
How do you get your sound it sounds really good
Thanks! I use a boss Me50 into a Palmer speaker sim.
I really like it, it's my favorite song when I was in school.

You wanna piece of my heart?? ❤️❤️
So apparently you cover all my favorite bands… except Van Halen. Have you heard of Dan Huff from the band Giant?
I’ve covered Van Halen and some of Dann’s session work.
Are all of your effects, including distortion, all from the me 50?
Most of the time yes. I will occasionally supplement the set up with trichorus pedals and a couple of effects in my recording software when I’m covering the likes of Steve Lukather, Michael Landau or Dann Huff, but I will mention that in the description.

@@bwm5150 thanks brother for the reply, God bless and keep doing what you're doing
Do this with boss sy-1 lol
Super solid, a really fun song! Too bad Loverboy didn't really have any other hits.

If possible plz my LOVERBOY cover too👍👍😊😊
