Your friend is playing games on his phone when he suddenly realizes that he’s on 1%. You’re standing near the RF charger, so he asks you to do him a solid and turn it on to save him from the inevitable. You do. But he doesn’t know that you know he canceled a plan with you to play games. You give him the look. You know, _that_ look. He is confused, then understanding washes across his face. His expression reads, _“Don’t you do it. Don’t you dare.”_ He needs his phone to stay alive. Your glare intensifies. But, then, you quickly switch to a joking stance, indicating that you’re “just playing.” He exhales, relieved, then resumes activity on his phone. You haven’t moved, though, and upon closer inspection you see that he’s talking to his girlfriend even though he’s at _your_ house using _your_ power and watching _your_ television without so much as a thank you. Your hand shifts-it’s subtle, and he doesn’t notice. The world continues in this manner for a minute or so. Without warning, his screen goes black. Your friend sees his reflection in the screen, shocked; then, a look of betrayal. He turns his head slowly, a menacing grin plastered across his face. You look down upon him grimly. He rises up from the couch, turning his body mechanically towards yours, when you notice his arm make a strange motion. A glint of metal flickers near his hip. You hear the ring before you process the pain. You see the drop fall onto the carpet beneath your feet. You know it won’t wash out. This is it. You hadn’t anticipated things to go this awry. A lot of power is lost when charging through Radio Frequency waves. RF is also very unstable. Something like a microwave, telephone lines, whatever else can disrupt the connection.
