Another great video Sam. I have a land clearing project coming up and you convinced me that a grapple is a must have attachment. I hope that the ground dries up quickly for you.
There is a trade off if you get another heavier built grapple. "Weight " the extra pipe at the bottom racks is a fair compromise and you end up with still fairly light implement. Great video 👍
Great videos, your going to drop a log had dieing. Congratulations of your subscriber growth and look forward to watching the channel grow. I’m here I n Ashtabula county so your struggles with weather I can truly relate to.
Hi I have Kubota tractor 2610 with the 60 inch grapple I’m a tree climber and have lifted many logs it works great I’m so happy with kubota and landpride grapple it’s been almost 2 years now I should have bought it years ago😊
I also have a BX with a Land Pride grapple. Bought them both 7 years ago and I have used and abused both with no problems. My grapple is a 40" and has 6 tines like your 54". I believe that is why I have never bent one. They are closer together. I have had logs ripped out of them and carried so much weight the back tires were bouncing off the ground, even with my counter weight on the 3 pt. For anyone with a compact looking for a grapple, I would highly recommend the 40" Land Pride. The tractor will determine the max you can manipulate, not the grapple size.
The little yellow box on the back of your tractor is cute but does it come in any other colors? I think a bold cobalt would look gorgeous with that firry orange of the tractor. Don’t worry about accessorizing too. I’d add a few more popping accent accessories to really bring it alive. This tractor has so much potential. I hope to see you at fashion week in Paris next fall with your tractor. It deserves the attention.
I made two more joints on my grapple as the other ones kept breaking on this grapple. Also made bolt on extensions for the upper tines so I could pick up smaller material such as brush
I had the third function kit installed by the dealer when I got the grapple. I'm pretty sure the whole bill was roughly $2,500. It's a Land Pride 3rd function and it works well.
I wouldn't be surprised if you dont bend the teeth on the clamp as well. I bought the Top dog Grapple from RK. I am not easy on it and the only thing I have done was pull out a zerk fitting tryind to lube it.
@@samsdoinstuff To be completely honest i only bought it because i had enough money on my credit card and they had one lol but in the end i feel it is overbuilt and people are sleeping on it! It is basically what that new tractor is selling with a few changes.
I came to ask if youve tried it with rocks but then noticed the other commenters comment that he bent his on rocks. I want to move brush but also play around with some rocks. Ive seen videos of the deere option handling rocks no problem but looks like i will pass on this option from Kubota and look elsewhere.
I think I'd have to be extremely careful if I were using the Landpride grapple to pick up large rocks. It could probably be done, but I'd be afraid of bending one of those bottom teeth again.
I guess I should just bite the bullet and order the Landpride Grapple for my BX2680. Tried Homestead attachments but they didn't seem too interested in trying to help me figure out all the measurements they needed for the hydraulic lines and cylinders on their grapple so it would work with the Kubota BX series.....$2200 probably more like $2800 with shipping to get the Landpride from Messicks. My local Kubota dealer doesn't seem interested in these small one attachment sales and orders.
@wildbill23c Ugh, i feel your pain. I really lucked out. My dealer had 1 and I mean just 1 in stock. You should see if you can avoid shipping if they send it to your dealer. Prices are high enough. Good luck! If you do get one, I highly recommend welding pipe between the bottom teeth like I had done. 🤠👍
@@samsdoinstuff Thanks, I live in Idaho, everything I need is on the other side of the country, so I spend a lot on shipping regardless, and most of those companies really don't care to ship outside of a few state area it seems....Messicks did, and I had my pallet forks in about a week...shipped to a Fedex dock and I had to drive 35 miles one way to pick them up, but that was the only way I was ever going to get them during COVID because my dealer wasn't interested in ordering anything, I'd probably still be waiting on the sub-compact pallet forks if I was waiting on him, I finally cancelled the 60" mid mount mower deck ordered when I bought the tractor, got the refund check, drove 3 minutes down the road to another dealer and had the mower deck on my trailer and headed home....I was not happy at all, that a dealer 3 minutes down the road had everything, yet my dealer didn't want to call and make the transfer...far from impressed with the dealer I got my tractor from, I don't go in there, I order from Messicks because I don't go over that direction very often anymore for one, and the dealer experience wasn't good, communication was terrible, and they only have 1 Kubota salesman in the store...which is beyond dumb for what's supposed to be a dealership. Most of the stuff I've got for the tractor after my initial purchase is from online sellers because I can't count on my dealer to order anything....he never ordered the mower in the first place but kept claiming it was backordered, yet the dealer down the road was getting them just fine. They drove to Utah to pickup my tractor, but couldn't drive 3 minutes down the road to the other Kubota dealer to get a mower deck, pretty pathetic. Love the tractor, just not the dealer....moved way too fast on the purchase should have shopped both dealerships for a while before I made the purchase as I bet I'd have went to the other dealership for the tractor purchase too....and the whole time I was waiting on the tractor to show up the dealer down the street had it sitting on their lot exactly as mine was ordered. Just paid off my tractor a couple weeks ago, so that's one less bill and I'm looking into getting a flail mower here soon too for the couple of pastures I mow a couple times a year I think it would be better than the mid mount mower for those mowing jobs.
@wildbill23c That's a seriously rough go with that dealer. I wonder if Kubota would want to know about how they treated you. If they treat everyone that way, they won't be around long. I had to pick up my Redline forks from a FedEx freight location too. The irony is unloading pallet forks from a truck when you need pallet forks to unload them, lol. I would love a flail mower for fields where you don't know what's in there. An offset mower would be great for creeksides. Once again I find myself needing a bigger tractor to handle an offset flail mower. It'll happen.
@@samsdoinstuff I really doubt they care much as it was during COVID so that was the excuse for everything and to some extent is still being used as an excuse. My pallet forks were loaded on the trailer with a forklift at the Fedex Dock. When I got home I just pulled the tractor up next to the trailer put the pallet fork frame on the tractor then set the forks on the frame, but yeah, funny how the attachment you bought is what you need to unload it LOL.
EA is still way behind in production …..I checked with them months ago and never got a reply back! Granted they use AR450 steel while the land pride grapple uses AR400 …still strong!
@@samsdoinstuff right on! Using equipment properly will help also. I see so many people using a grapple with the top link extended half way out pushing against a tree or using it like a bulldozer! Or clamping too large of a rock on one end of the grapple cause the lot link to twist. I’ll be looking into reinforcing the bottom tines on my grapple also….thanks for the tip
He said "dropped a log" :) . Great video Sam! Thank you
OMG! When you said "You're gonna drop a log", I nearly choked to death on a piece of ice from my lemonade!! Great video!! Keep'em comin'! 🤣
Hahahaha!!! Thanks 😁🤘
It's amazing how strong the small tractors are! I have the L3301 with the same grapple and it's a HORSE for sure! Great video!
Yes! It always surprises me and I don't know how I lived without one before! Really love that grapple 😁👍
Thanks for the video. Your slip up reminded me of when I was dealing cards. I needed an ace but instead I pinched off a deuce.
Haha! 😄 Glad you enjoyed it!!!
Another great video Sam. I have a land clearing project coming up and you convinced me that a grapple is a must have attachment.

LandPride 60 inch has the lower cross bar. Love it. You must consider total weight of the grapple you choose based on your machine capability.

Very good point! Thanks!

Awesome! Hello from S.Texas... I'm about to pick up my Kubota with a Grapple...🙌
You won't be disappointed my friend! Enjoy 😁
Great video!👍🏻

Definitely one of the best attachments for tree work. No question. Glad to hear you feel the same! And thanks for watching and contributing ❤️
Excellent video on the grapple, liked the tree slalom course. 🚜👍🏼🌴🇨🇦 Liked & Sub.

That's great to hear. I have not had any problems since I reinforced mine. Having a grapple is the best 😁👍

Nice mods! I guess if they were built better from the factory, they'd cost more 🤔
I didn't know that the grapple is also a root rake. That will really come in handy while cleaning up that yard.
I think we've all dropped a log or two in our day. Bahahahahahaha! Nice job and another great video well done!
Did your tractor come with a third function kit or did you install it and if separate how expensive was it?
I had the third function kit installed by the dealer when I got the grapple. I'm pretty sure the whole bill was roughly $2,500. It's a Land Pride 3rd function and it works well.

bent mine picking up rocks
Ugh.. feel ya brother
How big of rocks were you picking up? Were you picking them up from the center of the grapple?
