Hope you enjoy the video!
This channel needs to be the standard for what is possible with 3D printing. Calling this beautiful work is the understatement of the year. Phenomenal.
Looks great, very well done
My mom graduated from high school in 83 but some time before that she either made the ceramic Yoda or bought the ceramic Yoda and then painted it. My family still has it. My mom passed back in August from cancer. Watching this video of you building a Yoda from scratch just reminded me of that ceramic Yoda sitting on the shelf at home
I've never seen a better yoda. You are destined for greatness. That's amazing.
Absolutely fantastic build and paint job! I really enjoy seeing your process and thinking on these builds. The one element that I'd love to see is for you to add some weathering to the clothing/fabrics on your builds. Your hard surface weathering is A+ level, so extending that skillset to the soft materials would really complete the "lived in" look of a used item. Keep up the amazing work!
wow....wow ...wow that's all I can say. What a great job and the cane is perfect. I'm in awe at your talent....
Wow!
You and your mum executed that, perfectly.
What a superb project!
Congratulations!
Ps. I prefer the OT Yoda.😂
Haha, it’s all good. Maybe one day I’ll do a proper OG puppet Yoda.
@@MMsPropShop 😆I´m from the camp that thinks Lucas overdid it with the green screen on the prequels...But then, I was there in 1977.
Again awesome job and video. He was my first big project when I got my first filament printer 3 years ago. Same files as yours. He isn't my best, but show how far I come with my post-processing and painting. He overlooks our house from a nook above our front door.
haven´t even started the video yet, i know it´s probably gonna be your best build and also the best yoda lifesize diy project on youtube 5 secs in the video hahaha
Totally randomly found this through the almighty algorithm, and I'm so sold. As a mini painter, I love seeing our products being used in other people's projects. Speaking of which, you should totally get in touch with Gaahleri Airbrush company and get you a Swallowtail airbrush. A .7 needle handle airbrush would make those basecoats go so much faster and save some hand fatigue! I'm super excited to see what's next (and to apparently go watch though a ton of backlog videos...I'm seriously nerding out rn)
wow that is awesome! Well done. I always loved watching him in the prequels flipping around like a maniac lol.
i tell you in french: tu es une vraie professionnelle !!! tu es incroyable!!!!
Not much else to say but WOW! So fun and inspiring to watch your projects come to life. I had a big smile on my face at the 20 min mark. Yoda looked like he was ready to jump off the screen
Excellent! I love the neutral pose too! He could be teaching a class or in the instant before the saber comes out.
Oh and hats off to your mum x 💚🇬🇧🌱 awesome work from you both...
I kept waiting for Yoda to move at the end. Incredible work!!
You did a great job. But there's one thing you forgot. In the movies even when he was a puppet you can see he had hair in ears.
Finally caved and bought some of the fumed silica. They really need to warn people how weightless that stuff is so they don't panic and think they got shipped an empty jar.
Amazing. I would recommend to maybe add space for magnets in all the limbs joints and that way you don't have to choose whether to glue it or not and it is always easy to disassemble.
The music at the end of the build was giving me Star Trek vibes, lol. Love watching your videos and got me doing a life-size BD-1 to put on my back like the game.
Oh my goodness, you did such a great job, the eyes and paint seem perfect. and the clothes are perfect as well, great work!
Super impressive! Love that paint job and the hair and cloth work.
Truelly, it's a master piece ! So realistic and serious !
You are very gifted !
Amazing build! And heat gun for the win on those supports
Wow !!! This came out looking awesome thank you for sharing. Merry Christmas.
Absolutely stunning!! Fantastic work!
Winter project idea: Babu Frik!
Nice work, glad to see the thought process before printing begins. The model looks great 👍
That's an amazing job you done!! Keep up the amazing builds!! I just finished watching The empire strikes back when I saw the Yoda on the movie it came to my mind you should whether his clothes to make it more authentic looking but amazing job on the skin coloring and the hair!!
Absolutely amazing work. Thanks for sharing your journey of creation with this brilliant piece.
that paintjob is just a pure perfection!
Great job and video!
It never fails that I learn something new.
that airbrush and the max out screw to get a fine splatter effect. 👍❤️
This build is incredibly impressive ❤
Your job on that Yoda is simply amazing.
You returned!!! I love watching your videos.
Another stunning build. Your channel is insane
Thanks!
Awesome! I've got a few Galactic Armory models (Republic Commando helmet, RC figure, and Revan mask) that I just printed after I got my first printer (Bambu A1 with AMS lite). It feels like cheating vs scratchbuilding! I've been looking at that Yoda for when I get a resin printer. I live in Ohio so I also put the RC helmet on the backburner until I can paint in the garage. I only have a large (model wise, maybe 3'x18"x18") spray booth but it can't handle spray can fumes. Airbrush is fine though.
I had this file for a while now, after watching your build I really want to try the build. I have only a FDM printer so mine would not be as awesome as yours. Your moms costume is really cool, she could make patterns and put them up for sale on your channel for us sewing challenged people, I would gladly purchase one for this model. Love your channel.
I printed mine on FDM same life size and it came out great.
Absolutely amazing like always! Thank you!
Dang that is cool! I appreciate showing us your printing and airbrushing techniques. :)
Incredible! There’s actually a product called airbrush masking putty you should consider getting! It’s great for that kind of masking job like on the eyes
Alcohol inks also would have worked really well for age spots and some washes
This is honestly the quality of those high end collectibles.
Looks quite real as apposed to the complete CGI creation for the prequels. My only note would be the thickness of the eyelids. I wonder how he would appear if the lids were 1/3 the thickness, bringing the eyes slightly forward in the head.
Excellent! Love to see the process.
He looks fantastic! Funny that you mentioned referencing Sideshow painters' techniques, because I thought this was one of their assembly videos when I first saw the thumbnail 😄
Outstanding work as usual, very talented thank you have a fantastic Christmas
That was absolutely incredible. Thanks for sharing. 😁
Absoluty stunning!!!! Awesome work!!!
Greetings from Germany...
Can you make a full size Rancor next? He’s my favorite monster. Lol. Yoda looks amazing. I’m only a little embarrassed to be seeing his rump.
Full size Rancor would be cool, he'll be about 20' tall
You seriously dont have a single skipable video!
Well done, looks great. I wish my resin printer was that large, that’s amazing
awesome work as always M
This is incredible! Great job
❤️🤣 little green men scale. 🤣🤣 I loved that one
This is an amazing tutorial. Thank you so much for sharing. I learnt so much :)
Oh man I’ve been waiting for this build!!
So awesome I'm actually lost for words!
Man. That is BADASS! Great job! 👏🏾 Suscribed…🎉
Beautiful job as always! Love it!
beautiful work as always
Amazing job. Gonna have to look into this machine.
Calling Yoda "an eight hundred-plus-year-old balding alien" made me laugh so hard. Amazing work as always, M!!
That looks amazing! Another great job.
Much Skill You Have, Impressed Am I ;) 10/10 Awesomeness
Simply amazing!! Thank you for sharing your build!! Stay healthy and happy for the upcoming year!!😳🤔🙂
This channel needs to make a clone trooper in 3D resin
love this channel so talented such amazing work
That looks incredible!
Wow!! Amazing work. Love it!!
So talented you are!!
4:08 you already scarred me with Yoda's butt. 🤣
Amazing, well done!
Absolutely phenomenal !!!!!!!!!!!
As one extra step, you may want to try the soft feel of ultra-matte clear varnish, which helps make organic things look much more lifelike. A few companies make this type of varnish, and you can learn more about it by checking out the (somewhat freaky) hobby of "Real Dolls."
You are very talented; I will pass along your skillset.
The future see I do..
This is absolutely incredible work and a HUGE inspiration for anyone who want to try bigger projects.
So glad I found this.
Question though: Are you only doing Star Wars related prints, or do you have other non-SW related projects as well in your pipeline? 🙂
Very good your modelling skills are. The painting segment I especially like. Hmm.
Absolutely stunning !!
Fantastic job!
Wonderful job .
You brought Yoda to life 😊😊😊
nice build, when working with hair i can suggest working from the bottom up instead of top down.
Awesome sauce flows through you it does.
He came out amazing.
Thank you!
wow! That is a job wel done!!!
You just earned a new subscriber.
I love your work. You are amazing.
great work!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
Saw this video in my feed. New subscriber.
Amazing work 👏
like always awesome job
Another great video as always, id definitely buy the figure but is love to get your version, any chance of that? I have elegoo Saturn 3 just bought qidi plus 4 and your Muslim me want this printer... Really addictive
Could you maybe place yoda next to grogu in a build video , as I would like to see the pair side by side
Awesome build!!!! So much resin, did the bigger pieces fit in you wash station or did you need to use a bucket :)
Robes were so good also. Great job by your mother.
All of the pieces managed to fit (barely), and I dunked them in my typical wash station bucket, but for the really big parts I also used my Anycubic wash & cure max just to make sure they were truly clean. Used it to cure the bigger parts as well.
Thank you for the how to showing us building one
Amazing Job!!!!!
really cool. thanks for this video
This is totally bad ass!!!!
Incredible! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🤩
