Listening to these earlier tunes, you realize how much Tony Kaye was integral to the Yes sound. Obiviously that changed when Steve joined the band and they moved in a different direction but those first 2 albums were in a class by themselves.
100% correct. I LOVE THE SOUND OF HIS ORGAN. NOT EVEN WAKEMAN COULD PLAY LIKE TONY.
Tony Kaye is nothing short of amazing.
Alan White great drumming
This is a treat. Sounds great and ypu can see a lot of Chris in Billy.
Absolutely! Billy said it was Chris's wish that he play in his place with Yes after he died.
Awesome! Best Kaye performance of all time.
extraordinary saludos desde Argentina arriba YES
❤
Medleys are harder to remember than full songs-remembering at which hard stop to immediate transition to the next.
What an absolute treat to see / hear some early stuff performed live. I wish I could have seen CIRCA but I don't think they ever performed on the eastern side of the Atlantic.
Do I see a Wakeman (Oliver) behind Sherwood?
I should have read the notes! Scott Walton, apologies.
Circa: performed at The Rite of Spring progressive rock festival in 2008 in Glenmore, PA's Keswick Theater. ( Very loudly)
Thanks so much for share this video, blessings. Great, virtuosos. Great performance. Nice progressive rock sound.
💯🎼
This is no mean feat. What a great sound too. But more than anything, it's clear they're really enjoying themselves. Thanks for sharing.
i am sitting here as a YES fan and im totally blown away by it !
If i had known this was upcoming i would have travelled the globe to see it !
That was awesome!
Que banda!
Not even Trever Rabin could play Steve’s parts as well as Jimmy Hahn. Ditto for Jimmy playing Trevor parts.
Well to fair, Trevor doesn’t sound anything like Howe. I don’t think he ever tries to, instead doing his own interpretation, largely keeping it close to the originals as possible. You’re never going to hear him bust out a Mandolin or lap guitar while playing Classic Yes songs. I saw the ARW tour a few years ago and the performance by the band was stellar.
Jimmy is amazing.
Not sure but l think Jimmy Hahn played Steve Howes bits on a studio Yes Album when it was recorded…. Maybe someone out there can correct me?
I couldnt stop watching. Great performance!
