I managed to pre order a C5 and it set me back US$ 107. The fact that it had no reviews bothered me. Thankfully now that I've watched this I can rest easy.
It's minor but it seems like the side is a better place for a dust filter, especially in a case with positive air pressure. I'd definitely use the bottom filter, the top seems like an obstruction.
Yeah it's probably to keep that price point. Metal magnetic filters are usually very obstructive, and nylon filters are the gold standard for balanced dust filtration and airflow, but they are also more expensive.
Thanks for featuring the C5! I can't find more info on it anywhere, and no stock yet here in Canada. Fantastic review, very informative. My only thought for something that is 'missing' are some grommets like on the C8 for cables, as the open holes look meh. Also, it's 2024 and we have a mostly-premium materials case with NON-captive thumb screws? Hope that can change.
I've been thinking about using this case for my 1st build and had a question: Do you think that the arctic liquid freezer 3 360 mm aio (65mm thick with fans attached) would fit top mounted in this build, using a standard ATX motherboard (no back connect)? Or do you think it would interfere with the VRMS, cpu connectors, or ram?
Thank you so much for this review! I have been looking at this specific case and you answered all my questions about it! This will be my first custom pc built all by me! Thanks for this video very helpful i deff am buying this case.
Still using my old Antec Sonata IV case. I decided I want a new case after all these years and boy was I happy to see Antec back in the game. Ordered C5 in white. So happy its Antec again, for good old days.
Nice. I just did a build very similar to this. Only thing I'm not a huge fan of is that the Project Zero motherboard cranks the fans up on boot to max and that is loooud with all these fans!
I like these, but I can't help but feel that the side orientation affects the airflow. I like what NZTX did with the H6 and angled the air. Too bad that case was too small to fit my Arctic Liqiuid III AIO. Had to go back to my NZXT H7 Flow.
technically, fish tank type like this should be better with vertically mounted GPU setup, have the AIO on the side inlet, and run kind of a down->up chimney type airflow allowing the air to flow pass both side the of GPU easier.
Fish tank cases really need to start to angle or bend. The King 95 has very similar temps to front mesh config just cuz there is a bend in the glass. In fact the best config is side 280mm AIO on intake. Definitely want to see more angle/bends if the fish tank is still popular
Great to see a detailed review on this. If you used a 280mm aio vertically on the back would you set it up as exhaust and use the pre installed fans on the top as intake? Or do it the other way around?
Are you putting up the pc part picker soon ? Think I'm gonna build this case over the corsair 4000x ql now... looks fantastic... but will miss my asus rog strix mb
Great video.....please help with the fan hub. You say we need SATA power. Ok...but what cable adapter do I need and where does it plug in to the mobo? thank you
I've been waiting for you to get your hands on this case to review. Looks great, but I have a question. The back connectors looks clean for those upgrading or starting off with the newer boards that support it. What about current users from last gen wanting to upgrade their case and still have to connect the cables the traditional way? Do it come with the rubber grommets to clean up the aesthetics?
Antec I like your case with the large hole in the top but not the slots in it as they should be in a removable tray under the top or at the least dual slots like the front side fan brackets.
I love it but the only thing that jars is that the rad & its fans obscure part of the uppermost side fan. Do you think it would look better with a 240 or 280, or would that look more weird?
would the C5 be able to accommodate the MSI z790 Project zero? I know it would definitly fit the MATX B760m, but not so sure about the z790 given it is ATX with back connect.
@GearSeekers Please i need your help on the video of the antec c5 you said that antec own vertical mount will work in the case can u sent me with one exactly do u mean pls 🥺
Almost feels like building a PC with those gorgeous Cablemod cables and then using a back connect motherboard should be a crime. $169AUD for this with all the included fans, is a steal! EDIT - my first PC was built in an Antec Super Lanboy. Been a long time coming, but it feels like this legendary company is finally back!
I still don’t get why these pc case companies don’t include grommets anymore. All these cases look like cheap Chinese versions. At least make them look cleaner jeez….
I'm still waiting with my O11 Air mini to get proper successor, instead another copycats. HEAR ME OUT if you want to be unique, first gets my attention (manufacturer) - Front ventilated panel (not necessary mesh) - Dual chamber layout like here (still, there is nothing unique, perfect formula wasnt yet composed) - 180 or 200mm FRONT fans support - 140,180mm bottom fans support. - Dust filters on every intake - 140mm fan support on the back - No crappy plastic fasteners for side and top panels (just use screws like O11 Air mini - its best and simplest solution that WONT BRAKE) - Proper distance between bottom and floor level for proper intake from bottom. - I/O PANEL ON THE FRONT, not on top. People put those cases on desk. Of someone want to put them on floor, he got 100 other O11 copycats to choose. Why so big fans? Remember Torrent case? Even additional magnetic covers for top panel would be apreciated. If you will make case like this, it will outsell all those fishtanks, and airflow lowers will simply praise you for decades.
You ask the same thing on every video of this case. Have you just watched every video of this case so you could ask the same thing multiple times? You're annoying.
Really dig the lighting on those fans. Nice build.
I am so glad antec is actuallyt trying their best to compete in the case market again. Their 1 FT was definitely an impressive case imo
I got the C8 after watching your build and wow what a beaut.
I hear the Antec C4 is the bomb.
I'll see myself out.
😂
Someone had to do it 😂
Shame!!!

just ordered a 7800x3d and 7900xt with this exact case and motherboard and i am so HYPED, absolutely beautiful computer man

Hey where did you plug the case sata cable? Into your psu or mb?

@f1xxr wait sorry you talking about that flat cable attached to case? If so that goes into the power supply, should have an cable that it goes into

So is it possible to use the cooler master vertical GPU mount because I can’t find the Antec one anywhere

i really want to see a Case similar to a SFF where the GPU is in a separate space from the CPU, but in a mATX or ATX size.
What do you think is the best way to install ram..cpu and m.2 on back connect... just put mobo on the box ? Don't wanna damage connectors
White and black combined version of this antec , like phantek p600 white blacl gone look pro cool

Can you show us what a 280mm AIO looks like on the side there? Because everyone puts it up top. Thanks.
Looks solid.
Personally I think the Phanteks NV7 and NV9 are what's called the perfect fish tanks.
They are expensive as well.
Great overview and video! Loved the music!

Will there be much difference in airflow between a C5 and a C8?
Antec I like your case with the large hole in the top but not the slots in it as they should be in a removable tray under the top or at the least dual slots like the front side fan brackets.
How did you sync the RGB color of the fans with the GPU and the AIO and RAM?
I like how the top mag filter can be slapped on the back coz Im gonna exhaust the top
how did you get all the rgb the same, so like how did u connect the cooler to have the same colour as the fans
I really like the look of this case and may switch to it from my Fractal Meshify S2. Amazing video and information as always guys and gal!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥😉😁
I was going to drink every time you said Antec c5 but I am at work right now and I really do not want to pass out.
I love it but the only thing that jars is that the rad & its fans obscure part of the uppermost side fan. Do you think it would look better with a 240 or 280, or would that look more weird?
Does Gigabyte B650E AORUS STEALTH ICE can fit in that case?
would the C5 be able to accommodate the MSI z790 Project zero? I know it would definitly fit the MATX B760m, but not so sure about the z790 given it is ATX with back connect.
The only downside i can see is that it would probably be very tight for the connectors at the bottom with a standard atx motherboard.
I would like to build a c5 with ATX... if it will work
How did u connect the aio to the hub to be synchronised? Or did u use software?
Know that if quiet is your thing, these fans are a bit loud. Other than that, this looks amazing.
Can you use other vertical kit brands on this? Like CM Kit v3.
Your C5 ARGB White link returns a 404 error. Great video, mind. Still not fallen out with the music!😀
PS: Remember the Antec Sonata? I still have one!
Oop, thanks for the heads up!
Can I use a splitter on that included rgb controller to run 10 fans?
Can you control the fans with the motherboard software?
Does the rgb for the ram and cpu also change color the same ways as the fans?
What fans are being used along the top?
someone please answer me, is this case support for B650E AORUS Stealth Ice?
Is it possible to run 10 fans on the provided controller or do I need a splitter or something ?

The price is nice even more so because it comes with fans, that was my issue with their cases before.
The msi gaming x trio white is such a clean card, shame that they stopped making them
Like it alot .. can you buy a 3 pack of antec white fans to add if you buy...

How does this compare to the Montech King 95 Pro? Is the Montech case worth an extra $30-40?
Absolutely but you might want to wait a few weeks before buying a King 95 👀

Always exhaust when top mounted.
Only thing missing is the case being invertable

Actually I sit on cases all the time
Screws suc! Why not magnets...WTF Antec???
so many wires 😓
Are YTers flexing by using the LTT screwdriver or is there any angenda to seeing the screwdriver in almost every build on YT!!!!!!
It's just a screwdriver. Relax
