Dude Matt Damon just gives off the vibe of KINDNESS, he seems to be such a kind and genuine person. And it’s so good to see that in someone who’s been in the limelight for so many years. ❤️

the director of the film gave a great IndieWire interview about the film and Bale, one great quote: '' I felt the role was close to Bale [who starred in Mangold’s "3:10 to Yuma"], and prayed he would do it. He’s a model to me of artistic perseverance and flexibility. He'll text you with thoughts and free associations about the character. It's all incredible food. He’s a wonderful father, loving husband, great friend. He’s not interested in being famous. He drives a pickup truck, he’s grounded in the world, he raced motorcycles but had to stop when he got hurt, when he had kids. There are so many parts of Ken in Christian, who’s a perfectionist. He’s trying to achieve something for himself. It's magical to direct someone like that because they draw you into their own idealism. You feel that energy; it permeates the set. ''

Just watched Matt and Christian interviewed by 3 other people that same day and this guy from Fox is by far and away better than any of them. Great questions, celebs let their guard around them.

One of the greatest films i have ever seen. Script, Acting, Action sequences, Emotion..&did i mention.. thee cars? 😂. The film was flawless. I put this in a similar league with Apollo 13. Hail to the Director James Mangold and Rob Johnson (vehicle director)

Yikes, that 1st question. On another note, interesting Bale was supposed to play Enzo Ferrari in Michael Mann's Ferrari movie and now here he is in a movie where it's about beating Ferrari. Weird how things pan out sometimes.

This movie was amazing, their performances as well. I am a huge fan of both , Christian and Matt , they really killed this! Also I am so happy that they did this successful movie that we are not so used to see this days , Tank you for not let this old school movie die, this was brilliant. 🙌

You know where this is heading when the term 'absolute genius' is rolled out in the first 30 seconds @0:02 then this gem @12:57 which involves a camera looking through a car window.... Regardless, the movie is well done and good fun. There is so much to tell in 2 hours so don't expect perfection. I would have liked a little more emphasis on the 7.0L 427 motor that Ford used, but again, so much to fit in 2 hours.

there is no CGI, they had car replicas - it will be an amazing movie. Also see these interviews : th-cam.com/video/R4yshe6h2FA/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/YIeQthxGtoE/w-d-xo.html , Bale is talking about his famous old Toyota and why he is still driving it, Bale is such a humble and down to earth guy, but he reveals himself very rarely in interviews, and this is Bale in this old car lol th-cam.com/video/19XpFDKRBsQ/w-d-xo.html

That's the big question the director are normally ask how do u show speed of racing ah....may try something new,let see this does work...let try this...this director knows....the real funny thing if we are talking about speed is at Le Mon...coming into a corner and braking and the mid point and then accerating away ur feeling the speed...but once u get up to 180 or 200mph down a long one mile or longer ur senses get impatient in the car because it waiting to react to a sign that a corner is approaching so at 150,or 200 it feels like ur crawling until your get to the end because at 200 on a 3 mile straight ur reaction are on pause so its slow motion feels timeless until something changes and ur senses have something to do or worry about...on the other hand if ur car is scary at 200mph ur crapping ur pants all the way down that straight so its ur not bored...and throw nite time in the country into that and now the fun begins...

@John Wright There's this weird phenomenon going on with Bale that he could be looking completely calm, just bored or even smiling and people would still go "OOOH HE LOOKS SO SCARY HE'S ABOUT TO SCREAM". As if because he was a jerk that one time ages ago people have to force the idea that he's like that all the time.

Nice work Kevin good enthuisiam, but u kept it cool good job....I am really glad that they did try to stay away from CGI I think if you are shooting a space scene or an F 18 in flight fine, but we have such great digital camera tech there is without a doubt ways to show auto racing and the affect of speed, and the director said it camera framing and scenery too many people zoom in when photographing a picture or video the right balance of enuf scenery is what tells the story without that u might as well use still....I not a fan of CGI if u are great...but I'm a hands on athlete and I race moto GP and MX SX and now go karts its more fun to watch when u have been there and done it u can't fool the experts if u try and don't the rest will most likely see thru it too....good put some stunt guys too work...they work hard at what they do....as a racer I can appreciate stunt people....THANKS....one thing for a lot of people in America LE MANS is a far away unknown so this is a chance to learn about something new for the average person who does not know anything about the toughest car racing in the world....and the clash that took place there....THANKS

The weird thing about engines and a race car or bike they go thru that initial power curve then its steady and it pulls again and your really going then it hits its top 7000 rpm and it going like he'll but The engine is balanced for top end it smooths out but it still going like heck so u don't freak out from ur senses point of view so u get comfortable again and become like Christian said ZEN a one ness with your vehicle....when Everthing works better then u hoped...and that pretty rare....from an achievement point of view....its like this ifvu get in a race car and it scares the crap out of u and u never get comfortable in it not for even a couple seconds u would go fast in it....which is the reason Shelby brought Ken in....

Why I said I'm glad they stayed away from CGI is because I'm 100% Italian and for some reason genetically I like to go fast in a car...my favorite movie was Fast N the Furious,my last name is Terretto except with an S...hah and I actually in real live racing around a stadium by my home town in my RX 7 actually did the opening scene to the fast and the furious for real it busy happened....but when tricked out sports cars are dangling from a C5 cargo plane reality is cleared out of the movie and that too much and too far and comic book for me...and probably most....sorry but u lost me at hello....great job just say no to full CGI...please unless ur doing a STAR WARS remake I concur.....getting back to that opening scene in the fast and the furious, mine was a little better I was going about 90mph hit a bump right in the middle entrance of a turn on the road around the packing lot...spun right around back wards,no choice but to just steer it and finish the turn backwards at 70 I drove it backwards for a little and put it right in the drive way entrance backwards..250 feet later, stopped I looked up and a few cars were coming so I flashed my headlights for them to go...already stopped I guess they watched the whole thing and were like know u go...laughing I put it in first and drive away ok ok....THANKS
