I am writing this of a incident of 1981 when I was 19 years old, the bus in Delhi in which I was traveling from okhla to Regal con place. My father was in AIIMS admitted for cancer on last stage. The music was playing in the bus live around the world sung by late sh Mohammad Rafi ji, o duniyan ke rakhwaley. I missed my stop and reached Regal which was around 8 km. I didn't have money to buy tickets for return journey by bus, so I decided to walk. This is my passion towards the songs of Rafi sahab. You must try to get live around the world and listen

Yeh I had my 3 years diploma final exam on that day while going to attend my exam un fortunately I heard the Alap of Aj mausam bada beiman bada song from near by tea hotel I stood there till the song end i missed my bus , i was 5 minute late for the exam , examiner did not allow me to write that days exam.

I have seen live performance of this legend in 1975 in cuddappah Andra Pradesh, really superb, it was open stadium and very hot but still the public sitting there totally mesmerized and hearing the golden voice of Rafi sahab 🙏
He passed away 2 months after this performance. Our taxi stopped for his funeral procession saw the biggest crowed ever. May Allah Tala grant him the highest place in Jannah, Ameen !!!

I’m a big fan of Rafi saab from Sri Lanka. This is one of the long awaited videos of my whole lifetime. I can’t say you the happiness I’m going through now. Thank you very much. Mohideen Beg master, one of our greatest singers of all time was a close friend of Rafi saab. Both of them have learned music from Naushad saab while beg master was in India. Actually he was a native of India. I’ve heard that after he got known about Rafi saab’s tragic demise, he hugged the radio and cried a lot. 😢 And I’ve also heard that before starting this concert two friends met up after a long time and both hugged tearfully. He also have said to our president Mr. J.R. Jayawardhane to take good care of him as if Beg master had not migrated to Sri Lanka he would have become more popular than himself. How humble our Rafi saab was.❤ Love you Rafi saab sooo much 😢❤
I was among that crowd too I was 15 years old but already a huge fan of Rafisaab due to the heavy influence of my cousins from Bombay they used to bring his song cassettes in the years even after over 40 years of his sad demise I'm still if not a bigger fan of the Great and Legendary Rafisaab he was incomparable and remains still at the no 1 spot as a playback singer in India and to his fans all over the world

Wonderful. Here in this live show Rafi performed in presence of 1200000 (Twelve lac) people, the highest audience. and created a record in the history of Live Stage Singing.
The pain in his voice & the pressure he is applying in delivery is clearly indicating he was not well then only after two months he expired. Had his near one's noticed this unease his body was transmitting then a jewel of India had been saved.
My only concern is, there must be full or even half of this event on record, it's a humble request, please release that part n get praised by millions of rafians! I never lived in India or Pakistan, but I love Indian music so much, specially songs of Mohammed Rafi. In 1987 the great Maestro Naushad Ali visited aur county we had a beautiful get-together with him, I sang a Mohd Rafi song, and he was hery happy, and he commented so nicely on my song, I still keeping those precious comments and for me it's more precious than any Grammy award or so.
Shortness of breath is apparent. This was less than 3 months before he left us. But yet, what an experience it would have been to listen to him live. Rafi Saheb is the greatest of all time. He shouldn't have strained himself in this condition. He sacrificed his life prematurely for all of us.
It is before 3 months of his death..Rafi saheb.. but u cannot see any dullness, uneasiness or consepation. In the attitude of Rafi saheb. No vibration in voice. Every note perfectly executed.
Rafi sahab was clearly having some problems holding his breath for long probably due to his heart problems...Heart patients usually run out of breath if they strain themselves ...But the great Rafi Sahab was still singing beautifully.The same man once sang O duniya ke Rakhwale and Ae mohabbat Zindabad kind of songs..Never to be forgotten.

In the second song “Teri pyaree pyaree”, I could make out Rafi was short of breath at the high octave. If only he had done a complete checkout, we wouldn’t have lost him.
It appears only u have music sensing ears. Rest are hurd followers! Mind u I consider Rafi sahib Suron ka devta..but wish he refused performing here .something was very wrong with his mood or health...anyone with music sense will notice this.
And Sur goes at Zukata hai so does the softness, Nazakat of our normal Rafi sahib. I don't think we can find such low standard of Lataji..she would refuse to sing if not feeling well or Any other emotional or stress related or health or focus problem.. 🤔

Rafi sahab was suffering from heart problem. During a live show in Durgapur( 18 Jan 1980) Rafi sahab suffered a mild heart attack.

Rafi sahab was clearly having some problems holding his breath for long probably due to his heart problems...Heart patients usually run out of breath if they strain themselves ...But the great Rafi Sahab was still singing beautifully.The same man once sang O duniya ke Rakhwale and Ae mohabbat Zindabad kind of songs..Never to be forgotten.

From his facial expressions it is clear that he was sad and at 01:37 onwards, I can say he had an underlying ailment. Had he got a proper check up, we would have not lost him so early, would have lived for two more decades or so😭😭😭

.something was very wrong with his mood or health...anyone with music sense will notice this.
And Sur goes at Zukata hai so does the softness, Nazakat of our normal Rafi sahib. I don't think we can find such low standard of Lataji..she would refuse to sing if not feeling well or Any other emotional or stress related or health or focus problem.. 🤔
