Wow you know I had to go try this out before I commented. Worked like a charm both way! This has always been so frustrating to me when I needed to turn the car off while on the phone. Thank you a thousand times over for sharing this information. Happy Memorial Day!

I found that holding down on the start button for about 1 sec without your foot on the break works. Do the same to turn it off... Just got my CX-30 yesterday and great experience so far!

Thanks! Must be a new model Mazda thing, though. Doesn’t work on mine. With the car off and without the brake pushed in, one button push (long or short) turns accessories on. Another push turns everything else on. Another push turns the car off. With the car on (brake or no brake), one push (long or short) turns the car off. Only works on mine with the shift button pushed or the car in neutral.

Hey I would like you to make a video about the bests dash cameras out there for the Mazda 6 2016. I also own one!

Tell me more of what you mean. I don’t have a dash cam. I do have the GoPro Hero 12 that I use but it’s not specifically a dash cam.

The biggest thing is change the oil with full synthetic motor oil every 5,000 miles. Plus or minus a few hundred miles isn’t a big deal but it needs to be consistent. Second is to replace things as they go out. Don’t wait until 5 things are wrong with it or it will be overwhelming in cost and you’ll feel like your car is a piece of crap. 😄

how do you do this in a manual though

Oh. Great question. I assume you put it in neutral and turn the car off. Does that work?

@@TheEplingnope, I’ve tried that. I cannot figure it out, I know with Hondas you just hold the clutch down and hit the button

I called the dealership and they didn’t know. 😄
I found this on a Mazda forum. This was one user’s experience.
      forum.miata.net/vb/archive/index.php/t-598103.html
“If I do the following... I have 3 seconds of no sound, but Pandora kept streaming over bluetooth.
      “Put it in neutral
      Take foot off clutch
Hit power button 3 times within 1 second.[So press it 3 times quickly.]
“To turn off the system I had to hit the start button twice (as normal).”
With my automatic, if I push the button quickly 1, 2, or 3 times it doesn’t matter. It still turns off the car and goes to accessories mode. So the 3 times is definitely only a manual thing. Then if I press the button again it turns everything else on. Press one more time turns the car off.
Maybe experiment with pressing it 2 times quickly and 3 times quickly.
Let me know if that works.
