Bubba Dump isn't done in the shop yet; next up, back up cameras!

The back and forth with you two guys is hilarious. One of the best things about Dirt Perfect.
Seems like it’s that way no matter who an unnamed person works with lol
Just to let you know, I love these shop videos. I'm sure others do also. Don't ever feel you have to always push dirt. We love that too. You and Aaron are a real entertainment package. Looking forward to the next episode of "As the Dirt Turns". LOL.
He probably feels the need to push dirt because pushing dirt brings in money and shop time sends it out.
@@BrianFullerton as long as we are watching, shop videos give the best bottom line: No wear and tear on the equipment, no fuel burnt, still making money on TH-cam.
Its just that his pole saw project was milked out to the point of me falling asleep during two of the videos...
@@Sjanzothat is fair!
I love the shop videos too.
@@SjanzoAt what point did you fall asleep? Some parts of the videos are redundant, but there is a "fast forward" feature to get you past these parts.
Getting rid of blind spots and making alignment precise while backing around heavy equipment is always a sound idea!! Great job installing the cameras so that they should survive the work day. Ray
Keeps your people from getting squished maybe
I know a black top owner.
I kept asking people how come he doesn't drive truck? Somebody said cause he squished somebody at one time and has never drove since
I don’t know if anyone has said this before but between you two guys, it doesn’t matter how crappy of a day I’ve had, you two put a smile on my face from ear to ear. You couldn’t script this stuff if you tried! Keep up the great work!!
You are 100% right. Right now I work alone. But when I did work on a crew with other people the comments the cut downs the jokes picking on each other was always the best part.
Mike you two are some type of characters I love watching you guys go back and forth it doesn’t matter what your videos are about I just cannot get enough of them
Rear Facing Top Camera: You should have left the top of the square tube camera housing long like a baseball cap brim, to keep more loading splash dirt out of the square tube housing. Or a clear piece of plexiglass to stop dirt infiltration.
Hey Mike, Aaron has become one of my absolute favorites on the channel. You guys argue like brothers. I'm so glad you have him as part of the team!!
"that's enough nimrod" hilarious banter
The man articulates how articulated Bubba dump is! No April fools joke either
26:00 Gotta agree with Aaron here, having them a bright yellow is more likely to make sure you don't wack em with stuff. Though to play devil's advocate that's the same thinking of most construction equipment being a bright yellow....and it still gets scuffed up and wacked all the time.
Yep, Mike and Aaron, "got to run the 'Wahrs'...". I WOULD suggest putting gussets on the 'top of bed' camera box, as that tower looks a bit like a half driven nail needing a hammering, BUT haven't seen Pt 2 yet, and you guys are pretty sharp. As far as heated seats, isn't that a heated seat switch on the dash? Love you guys as you keep me (us) grinnin' out here in people land!!!!
Great upgrade for Bubba!
Thanks for sharing 🇨🇦
Great showing all the shop antics going on behind the scenes. Always entertaining.
You guys know that digging dirt, taking out trees & working in the shop is addictive, right? So, keep it up. I'm hooked. We always say, "you can't see all three at the same time".
I have maybe 10 favorite TH-cam channels but you guys are by far the most entertaining. The next time you're in Nebraska, stop by and have "The Man Behind the Scenes" can organize my tools.
Aaron is correct you guys do need a real C.B. radio in your rigs those hand held C.B.'s I cant understand what you guys are saying. And those cameras are the same we are using on our GMC P/U truck they work great and take the weather fine, have no experience with them dropping trees on em.😁
As always, coffee and lots of laughs with you guys is the best way to start my day.
Good Morning Mike and Aaron. I hope you had a nice Easter. Aaron sure loves that yellow paint. God Bless.
Great video DP and MBTS. The cameras are going to be a great addition for Aaron. I love it when ya'll 2 go back and forth.
Great job installing the cameras Mr Dirt Perfect and MBTS
Great shop video. You two are a real hoot to watch working together. 👍🏻
Great job. Love your videos. I learn a lot right or wrong. You are an excellent role model for DIY'ers ....
Aaron is right, DP was compusating for his warped brain. You need to listen to Aaron more often, and we thank you for the dump truck camera's!!!
You two helped make my day.
I would have put thr camera mount on the inside of the bracket next to bed for more protection. Just my 2cents. I enjoy watching the videos. Cheers !
It looks like the view would be blocked more on the inside from the cylinder mount and the end of the bed sticking down.
Never work
"EYEBALLS" has me closing my eyes when I hear it!!
LT Dan is what made me start watching you. Can’t believe you’re selling it.
Watch the podcast and you understand why DP kind of has Lt Dan up for sale. Truth is I really hope someone steps up and buys it and DP and them can finish it and use to to advertise for what the cause.
When he bought Bubba Dump i knew Lt. Dan would be obsolete on the offroad part. Now he got that Mack with a patched up bed for on-road hauling, i am expecting a bed swap before it gets sold.
@@Sjanzo Watch the podcast. YOu will see why and understand a lot better why he offer LT Dan up for sale. He is not trying to make money. DP wants to finish it but if someone buys LT Dan the money would be going to a great cause. DP is not keeping a penny if LT Dan sells. I personally hope a few company steps up buys Lt Dan have DP, C&C equipment and others Finish it and use it to advertise for where DP put the money from the sale of Lt Dan. Also remember DP said Lt. Dan was a hobby build more for fun then use.
@@johnunsicker7440 i dont watch the desk podcast, i only watch the shop podcast 😄
@@Sjanzo He always said Lt DAN wasnt gonna be a primary use truck, on or off road. It was always just a fun project truck he wanted.
Joke for comment:
I went to a magic show in Mexico.
The magician said "uno, dos", and then vanished without a tres! 😸
HAPPY BIRTHDAY AARON!
Good morning all !!😃😃😃😃
Great video Mr Dirt Perfect and MBTS
April 3 here. Just saw the results of a big storm that passed your way. Hope everyone is ok and not affected.
Howdy Mike and Aaron. At 31:02 in the vid I noticed some gratework against the wall and was thinking that that might make a good mud flap (of sorts) if mounted in front of the drive tire. If it is angled at 45 degrees in front of the drive tire the slats will catch the globs of mud slung off the tire. All you need to do after that is just use a broom or wash and the globs will just fall off. Experiment with what I have proposed and I'm sure you will find something that will work good for you. Stay safe!
Good afternoon Mike and Aaron
I’m here for another bout of humorous comedy and knowledge!
What a funny video! Y’all had me laughing! I love yalls friendship!
You guys are a hoot!! Love it.....
and the cameras look good too.
When the "Work Wife" speaks, you LISTEN !!! 😂👍🎯
Interesting sneekpeak outro showing the SSQA Tree Saw mount. Buzz Kill is going to be even more useful. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
various people offer completely wireless camera options...........I know what you have was given to you however trying to protect the wires from damage is almost impossible unless you armor plate everything in sched 40 pipe.......... my experience building Deuce & 1/2 brush trucks for the local Fire Dept........otherwise nice build......... oh yeh.........trade in that abrasive chop saw for something with teeth......... 73 MP
Nice work! Always enjoyable!
Just finished installing cameras on my skid steer. I bolted neodymium (I not only can't spell but neither can I pronounce it - they are the super strong ones though) to the mounts and now I can mount them anywhere and make fine adjustments in all directions. I know they are going to get hit and if the magnets don't save them by breaking away, I'll just replace them. They are cheap enough.
Morning DP and MBtS. Always a good idea to remove blind spots. Also I’m not anywhere near the best operator in the world, but having spent a little bit of time in rock trucks it definitely is difficult at times to gauge where your back end really is.
Aaron needs a radio !!!
Bubba Dump has eyes.
Cameras on Bubba will be a huge safety improvement Mike. Well done on the placement. Next will be a heated Massage driver's chair for Aaron?
The fabrications you guys do are great. Can't wait for the conclusion to Bubba. Making sure you can see around a vehicle of that size is so important to everyone, including the driver. Thanks for sharing, Mike.
Safety first. Good call. One of the funniest Dirt Perfect episodes. LOL! Hey Aaron, you'll need more that just an add on run of the mill AM/FM radio, needs a weather channel, maybe even a DVD player. Oh and by the way since Bubba Dump is so loud, you'll need a good set of healthy speakers, sub-tweeters, sub-woofer, and throw in a 1000 watt amplifier and of course the superior audio cabling to ensure you hear all the highs, mids, and lows. Bubba Dump will be rockn' it. One of a kind Perfect Dirt hauler. Kinda fits with the one of a kind Mad Max Beast tree saw/trimmer. I know Mike, Aaron does not need any more ideas. LOL. Cant wait to see how it all works. I'm sure it will be a blast.
Arons always right about the yellow
Heck Mike, don't worry about the missed video of you drilling holes, you and AARON are the entertainment, love your videos, have any SPRINTCAR videos made the grade ?
It's about time for a Bubba Dump Paint job. I'm thinking Black cab and frame with a lime green bed. THAT my friends would be COOL !!
NO❗️⬅️ To any sell of Lt. Dan UNTIL it's finished, and it is used on your channel❗️ 😡 The snowball effect WILL OCCUR in many NOT following anymore. 😡
Awww he fancy now!! 👍👍
Mud deflectors for the side cameras when on cross country events. A second thought, could you design and fit mudguards to the travelling axels???
Love the shop videos...😊👍
Like the shop videos, fun watching and listening to. Ssoooo- Aaron using the athletic type paint, must of got it from Captain guy, down the road apiece, 🙄😉😏😂😂😂. Go shop time, love it. Thanks for the update.😊
That should be one of your new shirt logos Robin's dumping.
You go Aaron get him. That's what I like to see. Lol .I love a good laugh.
Good morning sunshine! I think with the upgrades on Bubba Dump we may have to start calling him Mr Bubba Dump! Lol! Great video! Much love from Henderson Ga USA
MBTS has a lot of good ideas Mr Dirt Perfect
A screen for each camera mounted on the side where it matched the camera would be neat. Center of the dash for the one on the back, left side of the dash for the left camera, and right side for the right camera. I think Logger Wade did there's that way, but the screens are mounted to the ceiling. Not sure if it was him for certain, but I've seen it done like that in someone's off-road truck. 👍
The camera idea is nice, but Aaron is 100 % correct in stating that you remove your trash ta the end of each work day, get in the habit of that, as part of your daily routine, and the machinery will always be clean, no matter whom is running it.
Have no fear....Rubba Dump is on da job! Great channel, great content.
I hope that wasnt a typo and you actually meant RUBBA Dump , after Aarons , Rubbin is Dumpin comment! haha
Looks to me the camera boxes have made it a little wider for permits sake!! LOL
It's nice to see an abundance of caution using three cameras instead of installing just one..
MBTS every once in awhile take a wash cloth and clean DP's face a little. He is so busy with holding the camera in one hand and doing most of the work with the other hand he doesn't have time to worry about that. Just kidding, I like after all this time that you two are still making these great videos and getting along with each other. You guys are a awesome team. Keep up the good work 👍✌️
Hope yall can get it out the door after adding width to bubba
BTW - did you see the concrete saw blade running across the parking lot in Oregon? Humm. Maybe? Chainsaw blade? Maybe?
Completely different then we we built
Did you check that dirt free camera mount for the 13'6" height clearance when it has to be transported on a low-boy. (Comment Generated)!!
Great video again!
Bubba needs a name update!!! Lieutenant BuBba!!
Now LD18 is going to get backup cameras. Only his will be Bluetooth. 😂😂😂
For the love!!! Buy you an evoloution saw.
Should have mounted it were the rear view mirror goes so he does not get confused. They make metal to glass adhesive. 😅
Howdy Mr. Dirt, You can't really argue with cameras for safe backing! How long will it be for Aaron to hit something with the cameras running?? Hope you had a great time with the family on the cruise! Thumbs up! Safety first! Jim
I'm sure you have a few cans of JD Green for those mounts
New rule Mike: don’t leave Aaron alone with paint cans 😂
I’m hoping you didn’t place the cameras too far inside the enclosures. From my experience, if cameras are placed too far into an enclosure, you may see a lot of glare from the camera in the monitor. That’s especially true when the IR (nighttime) lights come on when the camera thinks it’s dark. It will tend to light up the inside of the enclosure - creating too much glare. I sincerely hope that didn’t happen to you guys!
Wish you had mounted the monitor on the overhead like a normal rear view mirror.
I can see the rear camera, but not the side cameras. I foresee those being the first ones to be taken off while dumping.
l love the level or hammer to level the camera brackets or is it a hammer level love it.
The two of you make me lol
man behind the scenes you better weld a square tube to shield those cams if not dirt perfect as soon as loads or overload bubba dump cam will be smaked :)
keep the good work best regards from portugal
Be sure to put the wires in a conduit so they don't get pulled out 😊
Hey Mr. Mike, I just learned that Lt. Dan is up for sale. Have you thought about taking off the brand new dump bed and putting it on your current triaxle? It might lower the sale price of Lt. Dan, but you sure could use a new bed on your every day dumper! And keep the shop videos coming. They are by far your best and funniest vids. Aaron, you need to boycott DP. No more welding until he gets you a stereo for Bubba Dump.
Will not fit
thought you were going to move that air compressor outside, its getting in the way-take care
I picked up a kobolt tool box like that blue one let me put in my ear plugs except mines the Union version from lowes stainless steel has a lid the Union version has a stearo and a union frig.
'Rubbin dumpin' MBTS it only makes sense when you say it. Well done Dirt Perfect looking after the employee - he really is a happy chappie. No excuses now MBTS.
Another great video.
The chop saw came out? I haven't seen that used in forever!
You need to get you an Evolution (or whatever brand) cold cut saw. They are fast, fast, fast compared to that abrasive saw. It will save you a bunch of time. They also have hand held circular saws in various sizes that make long cuts fast and easy. Evolution makes a very good saw and so does Milwaukee.
Oh bummed about Lt Dan that was going to be a cool Truck
You two are a fricken riot! 😂
In Texas, you’d have to spray them camera mounts for wasp all summer long. Maybe y’all will move its location so much they won’t have time to build.
Good video. Poor Lt Dan
Well good thing you buy his Mountain Dew to weld not paint lol😂
when you weld to a vehicle do you disconnect the batteries or how do you get around it. I welded one little thing to my tractor and fried the charging system...
I was on team Aaron with the candy cane pole saw, but not with his bright yellow paint. On camera that paint of his looks closer to the green on your DP shirt than it does a real yellow.
Smokin' job guys, cameras, rattle can paint, farkles here and there....Gonna be the best Bubba Dump in the whole county.
MBTS is a Gem!!
Good morning to you all
I picked up a band saw horizontal very quiet garage sale for like 40 dollar but non union dudes have to make noise
