DP you should be proud, these guys are really working perfectly, and they really respect you till they accept this job even they don't working on trailers usually 👍
DP - I think you have scared them for life with your trailer. I suggested they have a new business "C&C Equipment and Trailers".... C&C reply was "Trailer shop is closed lol" .... tells you something???
I could watch it all day long, no problem with the length. I like the “ do it right” comments and attitude as well as the follow thru on it. Stay the course, looking forward to part 2.
Awesome job and video. I don't care if the videos are 45 minutes or 2 hours. Just love watching you guys building things ❤️. Would like to see you build a trailer from scratch. Can't wait to see the camper truck. Keep up the awesome videos.
Definitely like the longer videos. I'm crippled up with a lot of pain and will load up a list for the night and like to watch when I can't sleep [which is most nights]. So ya, the longer the better and the content tends to be more detailed when it comes to the maintainence videos. All good stuff Clint. I'm enjoying these videos a lot.
35 to 45 min. videos are just about perfect, I don't mind longer ones though. I love the pride you take in your work. Unfortunately there is just not a lot of that these days.
1 hour of this kind of content is just right for me. DP is like my x wife, just keep showing up at the door , only he brings money instead of taking. You boys are cooler than cat shit in Feb.
Clint you do remarkable work. You don't skip a beat. I'm sure Mike from DP will love what your doing to his lowboy. I'm also sure your workmanship is better than what another trailer shop would do. Mike made a great friend that's for darn sure. You should paint the frame all up and give DP a big bill for making you do the trailer you do not do it's your kindness that is getting that job done. I love to see your videos make them longer.
You guys are real pros, both in technic and craftsmanship. With all the correct tools and expertise, fabrication is spot on. I like the forward-looking with the painting of the backsides overall great work.
It is so good to see that you go a step or two further than the minimum, because it is so much easier to fix now than have to fix something else a year or two from now.
Love the step by step detail. You didn’t skip over much and come back and it’s done. Nice to see it one step at a time. Great job. Do it right one time.
I don’t like 5 minutes, anything else is ok. Your the first person to say rust converter on Ytube. I started using it 30 years ago, helping my son restore an old Chevy pickup. Replaced a lot of the floorboard and used a lot of converter to stop and convert the rust to a primer. Told a lot of people and ytubers about it. I like watching your videos cause you help do the work and explain what/why your doing it. I like your floor jacks, looks better than a hydraulic or post, put them where you want to. Stay safe Charge him20% extra, he can afford it hahaha
Great video. I can see why DP wanted your help. I was glad to see the sand blasting cabinet being used properly. About 5 years ago I came across someone who was sand blasting granite grave headstones and the granite was too big for the cabinet. He disabled the interlocking guard on the cabinet and just draped a sheet over the granite when it was being sand blasted. He didn't care that he was exposing his workers to silica dust. It came back to bite him on the backside, after a worker quit in disgust and reported him to the UK Health and Safety Executive. A nice large fine and prohibition order followed. Cheers Michael (from Scotland)
I am near 70 been doing this kind of stuff all my life, infact still at it I just finished building a portable bandsaw sawmill with my hands from a pile of steel and parts.. I wish I lived near you folks.
I find this type of work most interesting and frankly educational from the initial inspection through more thorough investigation and subsequent repair. Those U bolts were quite frightening when you see the extent of the damage caused by corrosion. That plasma table and press are just something else!! - Precision work and such a time saver
Mike is a smart guy .He knows you will do a great job over and above . Even though this repair will cost several thousand dollars , it's cheap compared to the longevity you just put back into service of this trailer . It's always best to let the pro's do what the pro's do . Don't worry about how long the video's are , it's good stuff and we do appreciate it .
I bought a 1974 Muv all lowboy trailer and I want to strip it down completely, get it sandblasted then I’ll rewire it and repack the cylinders for the dove tail. All that to say, I like the longer videos that show all of the tear down and explain the how and why of everything. It has 8.25 R 15 on split rings.
Personally I like the videos broken up. I do like being able to have the second part to be able to watch it. There’s nothing worse waiting a week or longer for the second part. DP
45 minutes to 1 hr? I just enjoy how you guys working together, no1 gets in anyone's way, each knows what he's doing. God Bless and have a great day. 🇺🇸
I bet the change is what you and the boysdid was nice in a way.Am so impressed with your shop/business and way you all roll.Thank you for sharing your profession.
Clint, knowing you don;t USUALLY work on trailers, but so glad you did, to help Mike [ Dirt perfect ] out, since this job, in one of his more recent videos that he droped just a day or so ago, when he bought a JRB lift for scrap price from a dealer in his area, it TORE us most of the boards on this exact trailer.. What a mess it is currenly. Thinking maybe heavy diamond plate on it,??I found this video VERY interesting. sadly with all the salt on the roads during the winter, and running this trailer dsuring thr winter, is how the salts eats away and promotes to all the rest..This video showed all the talent and Knowlege that you have, from inspection to parts to weilding, and your sttention to detail on everything concerning this trailer and to keep Mike safe when using it.
great job so far , I think I would go one step more after paint I would use some wool wax or fluid film on the painted parts before putting air bags ,tail lights in
Be blaster got a product that’s suppose to be better than wool wax or fluid film. Clint and his crew is doing a good job on DP’s trailer I’m sure Mike will satisfied
Hey Clint!! Awesome job as usual, you guys are good at what you do, true professionals. The humor is a hoot. When you, Kevin & Mike get together there’s sure to be some laughter, I don’t mind the long videos their very entertaining keep the videos coming Mike.
@@scottsorter7 yeah there's another one a little bit longer into the video too. I think it totally like four times it shows up as it's rolling in the shop
Clint, love your work ethic! Let the video role. The old trailer is finally getting some TLC, it has to look good too, don't want the 850J to ride on a piece of crap! Just needs some Fluid Film on its' bottom to keep it from getting rusty, which I have 5 gallons of and would be happy to come up and spray it on at no cost if you would think it's worthwhile!
looks good Clinton, I've done a few of those in my day, retired from the coal mines now; but it did bring back some memories of the work and good men I've worked with. thanks! good content.
DP will have a hard time accepting a "good as new" repair, as opposed to his usual "fix the broken stuff" repair. You are exploring virgin territories!
@@DirtPerfect What I was driving at is that you have a business to run, so your repair philosophy has to be "fix what is broken and let's get back to work", while this C & C overhaul is more like acquiring a new or totally reconditioned piece of equipment. No offense was intended, it is just that this overhaul [and the 850J] are new experiences for the DP company.
I enjoy watching y’all repairing that trailer or any piece of equipment. I have learned a lot as well. You guys do it right the first time and that is the right result.
It seems "more often than not" that the right most rear shackle/leaf assembly has the most rust damage. I know that on cars I've seen/repaired the right rears swell so much it pushed the ABS sensor ring off the hub. Long trailers would be worse since they're getting the heavy blast of the brine-salt-gravel peening that shackle housing and Rust jacking it open "due to salt and brine it's lots of crusty dollar$ time".
