Completely. And it was entertaining, and he fought through a nasty cut with no complaining, crowd was hating for no reason. Also cards should have been wider, he won almost every round
The art of hitting and not getting hit demonstrated well by Sunny. Never gonna be appreciated by a crowd that wants brawls all night tho.
facts to me he was boxing beautifully
Both sunny and Gallo estrada have such elusive techniques especially in stepping back and avoiding shots tho against Bam they both got embroiled into brawls bc he neutralizes those techniques with angles and pressure
They cry when mayweather and Shakur do it
Because when people like Boots do this AND get the KO this seems subpar just like Ben the showboater
think the crowd would prefer wrestling. The only applaud was the mocking of bull curtain gestures after dodging a few shots early on 😂

They always get gift decisions so he was expecting more of the same. He was dominated from start to finish and didn't win a single second. He was schooled with ease.

I was at the fight last night and I wouldn't blame him for never coming back to AZ. Dude put on a masterclass to the loudest boos I've ever heard at any sporting event.
Man was a class act in the post fight interview and shouldn't have felt the need to apologize.
I became a fan last night and hope to see a lot more of his work in the future.
They like an aggressive fight in AZ. Bloodthirsty, “Mexican-style” loving crowds. Hopefully this doesn’t discourage Edwards from fighting his style of fight

Sunny looked like Willie Pep out there, this is true defensive fighting, I can't stand the guys who back up and then hug when they finally get cornered. Sunny was actually moving side to side and dodging and turning his opponent

I have no problem putting points on Sunny. Kriel is never hurt, though, because he doesn't punch more than Sunny and does nothing.

The Brits beat the most world class fighters out there and have the best collective resume out of any country. Sunny isn't a puncher, he's a boxer. He dominated and outclassed Curiel with ease. If you think it's trash, boxing is clearly not for you. It was a masterclass.

It's not about whether I fight or not, it's about whether or not he's entertaining to watch and makes me think I enjoyed/felt like I didn't waste my time watching his fights.. The short answer is I don't enjoy his fights and how he fights, as a result my time is wasted and I think finessing is terrible for the sport.

Edwards is, in fact, cringeworthy to watch. He has very limited upside at this moment unless he starts fighting a more fan friendly style--which he will not. Take him back to the UK, Eddie, and quit forcing us to watch him.

To me, the way Edwards fought in this fight was entertaining to watch. I've seen boxers fight definsively in unappealing ways before now and this wasn't one of those instances. He wasn't clinching excessively, he wasn't trying to slow the pace of the fight, he wasn't turtling behind a high guard, and he was showboating and throwing some nice combinations. I think you're just a hater

Also the art of boxing is hit and don’t get hit by any means necessary that’s legal. It doesn’t make a fighter smart to go have a tear up every fight, that’s why they get brain damage for being to brave.

Do people get mad at great sports teams for having immaculate defense? It’s a sport. These fighters have their livelihoods and health to think about. Fighting the style that gives you the best chance of winning is the smart move, and if I were a coach, that’s what I’d instruct my fighters to do, whether it be move or pressure, whatever works for them

i gave curial the last 3 rounds. the commentary was atrocious. curial was landing some thunderous body shots and sunny would just showboat. last time i checked, showboating doesn’t score points. and the commentary just slurped on sunny’s nuts even though most of his work was just a jab here and there and wouldn’t even mention when curiel was starting to wear sunny down. it looked like sunny was going to start getting run over towards the end of the fight. sunny wasn’t even throwing much anymore and was getting backed into the ropes and getting ripped to the body. people, learn to watch a fight without being handheld by the commentators. they just make you see what they want you to see… oh and the HOLDING. jesus i hate holding

Can't take his punch? Took them for 9 rounds. His corner had to stop the fight because he refused to quit despite an injury. The whole crowd stood up and clapped him for his toughness!

If a fighter can't continue then they lose the fight...
If a fight is stopped due to a cut caused by an accidental foul before 4 rounds are completed, it's a no decision result. If it's stopped after 4 rounds, the scorecards up to that point are counted to decide the winner. Learn the rules.
Not from headbutts mate, or you'll get the fighters who like fighting with their heads doing it more than ever, trying to cause fight ending cuts upon their opponents....just like what happened in this fight.
1. He could & showed no signs of unwillingness. It was the doctor that said NO.
2. If the fight is stopped for a cut caused by a foul they go to the scorecards for a technical decision.

The boxers are the media used by the observers to execute their cruelest dark emotions.
Boxers like Edwards is the reason why many turn into something else to express their frustration.
Edwards is one of the of those who don't give 3 f...cks about peoples feelings.
In other words WE prefer boxers with NO technical skills in that sport because they WILL use the only thing they have, HEART.
