this is very informative. i use libre from a long time i liked 14 day better, also i have combined it with nightrider blucon for readings, updates, alarms and other updates, easy installation and affordable for me.
Thank you for the very informative content. I’m newly diagnosed and just started using the Libre 14 system and was unapologetic about few things that you pointed out. Again, thank you and I look forward to further information I can use to improve my health.
Thank you for your comment! For your specific results, a blood uric acid level of 452.64 mmol/L falls within the normal reference range of 214.00 to 488.00 mmol/L for males. However, it is on the higher end of the spectrum, so it may be worth discussing with your healthcare provider to determine if any further steps are needed, especially if you experience symptoms related to high uric acid. Always best to get personalized advice!
Thank you Dr. Ergin for the video. I have the Freestyle Libre 2 from Abbott since April 1 2022. I had plenty of problems regarding the reading kit, its convenient but its not accurate. I have to call abbott most of the time, and they send me new sensor and new reading kit. Sometimes I still frick my fingers to make a comparison..

@@mooneve1702 No! As we know much in US healthcare is controlled by insurance. Just when Libre 3 became available at out pharmacy I also learned that our insurance will only support Dexcon, not Libre. So I have Dexcon 7. Similar functionality, but I wish I could try both and choose myself. Instead some clerk in a high rise building is choosing for me. 🙂

So if your reading is 349 in your interstitial fluids does that mean it’s higher in your blood?? Can we stick The sensors on other areas of our body like you know since we can give insulin in our abdomen can we stick it there or on our leg somewhere
I am on my first full day on the libre 2.... Not impressed... It is NOT a cgm as advertised. I had a dexcom years ago and that provides a reading every 3 minutes. There is no way to calibrate the L2. The sensor readings are about 10 to 15 points off. Its basically a meter with alarms...... which makes no sense..If it's able to detect a low or rising levels, why cannot it display readings like a dexcom?

There is a separate reader for the Libre2 if you don’t have a compatible phone. Stop using Libre14 terminology, it’s a Libre 1 or Libre 2. With the Libre 1 you can use both the reader and your phone if you sync it to the reader first. That option does not exist with the Libre2, it’s one or the other which is no doubt a design flaw. It can be positioned on the inside of he arm where it is less likely to hook on something and come off.
Too bad they didn't design it to be truly compatible with the tens of thousands of blind diabetics out there, which to me is inexcusable. You must line up the marks to apply the sensor, and the reader that comes with the system does not "speak" the readings out. Even my TV speaks to me, but a device that is necessary for me to obtain good diabetic blood sugar control does not speak to me? Signal to speech technology is everywhere, but not in a CGM?? Even my $29 portable HAM radio speaks to me, as does my watch, etc. So how is it that the medical equipment manufacturers can make such a gross oversight as to make a CGM inaccessible to the blind?

I like Libre 2 because do not need a cell phone. Also, it takes a lot higher outside temperature tolerated, it gets 120 degrees here.
I have the 14 day, insurance pays full cost. I have noticed the accuracy in general has improved to plus or minus 8 %. Was 12 % OR MORE 6 months ago.

Better to stick yourself once than 20 times a day. And Medicare only allows you to change meters every 5 years.
