I saw them at a dealership in Kanchanaburi, Thailand 🇹🇭. If I had more time when the dealership was open, I’d have loved to look at it closer. One thing I noticed is the similarities between its badge to the Pontiac badge of the past. Sort of makes me nostalgic for what we lost in GM’s restructuring.
This car is really good looking. The design is modern, very wel balanced while still appealing to many. The lights on the front look cool, the whole design makes me think a bit of the Hiphi X, which is a compliment. Unlike some other Chinese modern designs, the design of this one could work well in Europe. I don't expect Deepal to go to Europe anytime soon though.I think it is important to focus on more affordable evs rather than the expensive ones we already have. Here in Europe, it is very hard to buy any EV under 30000 euros, which still is a lot of money for the average customer. You say that this Deepal S7 will be priced somewhere from $21000. Recently, the Hiphi Z is announced to come here to The Netherlands (yay, cannot wait to see one). It was announced to be 600000 RMB (about 75000 euros) in China, the predicted price here in NL will be more than 100000 euros. That is more expensive than a Tesla, and it is about 30% more than the Chinese price. If this Deepal S7 would be on sale in NL, it would maybe priced similar to the MG 4, which is available from 31000 euros. Then, it could be successful. Time will tell.
Another good looking EV. The number of EV brands in China is dizzying. The name means Deep-Blue, a term often seen in military articles to describe the class of warships designed to sail in the deep water zone of the Pacific.
Great reviews and videos Will buy in Thailand….would you recommend the Changan S7,Avatr 11 or Zeekr X? Also looking at Volvo EC40. Wondering if the Chinese EVs have “too much tech”. Is there a middle ground? Thank you
I don't care what it is called, if that car would be sold in Europe with same prices I'd buy one, and I'm guessing so would tens or hundreds of thousands after me
it would be interesting to see that AR HUD in action.. i wonder why other, more known brands like BYD, MG and VOLVO / ZEEKR don't include it (in promotions)..? it seems an excellent feature that VW has pushed it into middle class - why not others?
Unfortunately, our time with the S7 was pretty limited, so we didn't have a chance to get any footage. The system is largely similar to the one used by VW.
Why don't you review ling pao C11. This is the cheapest SUV with 280Km extended range...on paper it's the ultimate bargain looking forward to C11 review
Deepal sounds more Indian to me.😏 Anyway, nice car again from China. I wonder why they have to bother with a hybrid though which just makes design more complicated; cripples the pure EV version that has no dual motor or high performance variant. A hybrid with a 1.5L engine is a great idea on the Li Auto L9.
The answer is pretty obvious: range. That car has a claimed 200 km EV range, which can easily get most people through their commute and errands for at least a day or two. But when you need to go farther, the generator is there to make sure you can. Ultimately, EREV and PHEV cars suit way more lifestyles, and I don't think they get the attention they should simply because they're not as sexy and new as pure EVs. As for a performance version, I do think it would help with their branding a bit, but I don't think it's actually necessary to accomplish what they want. A vast, vast majority of buyers don't need or want that much power, and will just choose the less powerful, cheaper option. The single rear motor cars are plenty fast enough for your average driver.
They would rather place a LCD screen at the passenger visor (as an option), but not in front of the driver. It's a sin. It's anti-user. It's like a disease spread by Tesla. Some claim the HUD replaces traditional instrument cluster, but that's a lie. The HUD does not provide nearly enough information compared to a traditional full size instrument cluster, and it is harder to read under sunlight. Some owners are already complaining it's difficult to browse information like tire pressure, power consumption etc. because those were cramped at the corner of the center screen and can't be displayed all at once.
Insurance for dual motor face melters is too much and realistically i dont use it so just wish it wasnt there so could pay less for insurance as they say its a performance car and..it isnt just oddly fast to 60
Are you interested in purchasing a Chinese vehicle and exporting it to your country*? We can help by connecting you with a reliable exporter! Email us at sales@wheelsboy.cn *We currently cannot support customers in the United States, Canada, or right hand-drive nations due to import regulations and unavailability of right hand-drive models
As stated by another user, this car comes in both EREV and EV variants. Also, the attitude of completely dismissing anything that isn't pure EV seems silly to me, but please keep commenting, it only makes TH-cam more likely to recommend my video to more people!
Here in Asia and billions want hybrid. I can tell you even after 2030s you would be able to sell thousands of hybrids here, the market is just taking offf.
Deepal sounds like a village close to Bhopal in India.
Deepal Chopra
They should sell it in India..many Deepals will buy it.
@@ciybersal9833sandeep too
I saw this car at the mall in Thailand yesterday. It's beautiful. Stopped me in my tracks.
Same thing happened to me today at Seacon. Suddenly I was inside the vehicle with brochure in my hand 😂

Presumably you will get the Xpeng G6 in the Netherlands soon, which should be a very competitive electric SUV.
Another good looking car from Changan! The design is really clean and premium.
Compared to other Chinese car designs this is the best I've ever seen good job
I would have been more curious how it compare to rivaling SUVs rather than its sedan sibling. Handsome car, nice job by the guys in Turin.
Now i want this car

His Chinese name also means this.
Yet another car we will not see in the US or the UK….but nice !
Changan has stated they will enter Europe in 2024. Deepal and Avatr are likely brands...
我也准备买它,之前想买宋的,但是我喜欢无边框门
比宋轴距大很多,要拿样子肯定这个好看些,宋改款真的难看了
Great reviews and videos Will buy in Thailand….would you recommend the Changan S7,Avatr 11 or Zeekr X?
Also looking at Volvo EC40.
Wondering if the Chinese EVs have “too much tech”. Is there a middle ground?
Thank you
Look similar to Lotus Eletre ,but for that price I would happily buy one .but Chinese cars only have LHD , they should offer both options
Good to see improvement
I don't care what it is called, if that car would be sold in Europe with same prices I'd buy one, and I'm guessing so would tens or hundreds of thousands after me
Deepal coming to Nepal 🇳🇵 or not? Cause Changan is available so maybe this will be too.
Don't know about Nepal but coming to Pakistan
@@rajpootrj5647 already here in Nepal and the sales are off the charts
How are you going to start the engine ?
This car just looks good.
Also selling good.much better that vs iD3 ID4
Any review on Landian E5?
In which city/region was is filmed?
Any plans to review empow R?
My current vehicle has zero charging ports
车轮哥,你好像年轻时的特朗普啊,哈哈哈哈

Zeekr has a hub
Australia?
Sweet and the cars not bad either 😊
Any crash tests done on the car ?
Love the green exterior and orange interior but alas like 99% of EV cars...too expensive for me
I love it
deepal s07 should have atleast 200mm ground clearance to suit asian roads like Nepal and India

@@Wheelsboy I guess you have a point on greatly extending range and they likely want to differentiate slightly from the pure EV Model Y.
looks like a lambo urus
Are they trying to Sell this in India?😂
No Fanny Pack Again 😫
No idea about sales in other countries, and the fanny pack has essentially been replaced by the Hawaiian shirts at this point haha
Chinese cars are not bad but the branding is horrible. The names sound eather crazy or cheap. And the model number is usually a letter and a number
Finally a front end that doesn't align with the homogeneous fascia of other Chinese premium car makers. Otherwise it looks good for this price point!
深蓝只有两款车型,是EV销量第九和第十一,长安汽车的独立品牌
Chinese car market right now looks like the states in the 70s
I'm gonna need you to explain that simile to me haha
I would say more towards the 40s / 50s when many brands existed like Packard, Edsel , Tucker etc
Why is the cats so good and sooooo cheap in China
Deepal = Lotus + Urus
No mechanical door release from inside.

👍
👍👍😀
not a tesla killer but a avatar killer ha ha
You're way off on that one, at least in my opinion. This car is about half as much as an Avatr, so I don't see how they would compete.
Why do i see Volvo EX30. in that instrument, and very same size car. lets gess 0-100 is 3.6sec.
As much as I love a fast car, that would make this car way more expensive and frankly isn't even remotely necessary for a mid-size SUV.
I can't keep up with these Chinese cars.
Better version of cupra
