Have you tried their KFC, mate? The best in the world, because they're using palm oil and local MSG. And they have rice instead of mashed potatoes. Try every fast food franchise in Indonesia and they are totally different taste with localised dishes.

Just suggestion guys! When you've eaten some spicy foods in Indonesia ( Mostly Indonesian culinar added with chili sauce ). You should drink warm tea or water to avoid stomatache!. Warm tea or water is good neutralizing hot caused by "sambal Chili"
for me, the best menu in McD is their chicken, especially the spicy version. but it is very hot.. hahaha you should buy milk to reduce the spicy taste hahaha. for me the McD Chicken is much better than the other brand, especially their batter/flour is very different than other brand. if you have time, you should try it :D

The green cake - *Klepon/Kelepon* is one of Indonesia sweet snacks, it usually round or look like pandan chewy/mochi ball stuffed with brown/palm sugar and covered with shredded coconut. And that green cake is like the represent of klepon taste. Sometimes youll find another green cake in Indonesia but it can be Es teler cake - *Es Teler* is Indonesian shaved ice, dessert.

You did it a bit wrong because Indonesian McDonald actually have double choco pie ala mode, which is a McDonalds soft served Ice cream topped with the double choco pie and Chocolate sauce. So instead of ordering an ice cream and the double choco pie separately, better to have it together

UK Mc Donalds is pretty mid on the global scale of things, admittedly I commit the same "sin" of trying Mc Donalds in every country I visit and I tend to use UK McD as the benchmark, and yeah South East Asia as a whole has great KFC/Mc Donalds experience.
