Welcome to the newest installment of Rolling on Kickstarter for October 2019. This video will highlight some of the solo games which I believe deserve your attention on Kickstarter. Be sure to do your own research and check out these projects fully to see if any of them are right for you. Let me know which Kickstarter projects interest you too. Looking forward to the discussions in the comments! :) FYI: From the Joan of Arc 1.5 Kickstarter there is a blue rectangle box in the bottom right of each expansion listed on the main page which mentions the number of scenarios included. It is there you'll find any info on solo/co-op scenarios. Hope this helps!
I really think so too. I was a big fan of Chronicles of Crime and the very low barrier to entry with a 2-4 page rulebook. It was very intuitive and it’s likely that they’ve also learned a lot from C&C as well. Looking forward to the future release!
@@RollingSolo there really are but like you say it's all about room on the shelf. I backed all 3 acts of Middara and the devil may cry game with all the expansions too so need to slow down a bit haha :)
Great video, thanks for creating it. Question, can you do a video of what solo PnP games, that are available now, that you recommend for those on a budget that want to enjoy the games you review?
@@RollingSolo I'm sure I'm in the minority on this, but I tend to paint in batches once I have all my paint kit set up. Having said that, there are soooooo many miniatures that my group would have to wait another year for me to finish painting, so most likely I'll have to parcel it out :)
Oathsworn: I'm interested in how good the story part is. Would it be fun enough to play standalone as a session or is it simply a build up for the "main" event which is the encounter?
I really want Oathsworm out of all of these, but for this month I backed Hard West, because I backed them the first time and secound time and they failed, and now they finally got their presentation better so the succeeded. If I made more money and didn't have bills to pay I would love to get Oathsworm. The hardships of life vs fun.
I haven’t heard of that one actually. Something to look into! Thanks for sharing. Based on the success of this KS it’s a good bet it will be back for more in the future so you could save towards it!
Aren’t the minis on a smaller scale for Joan of Arc? We like to get these types of games but also love the ability to use the minis in role playing games. However our role play minis are 28-32mm scale
Yes, but a stand of multiple minis have to fit on the hex map so they need to be this size (about 15mm). The game is basically a wargame (tabletop) with boardgame bits not a boardgame with wargaming bits.
KC is bang on. I mention in the video that the minis are smaller in scale and I love it from the stand point of storage as well as the epic scale it presents.

i want to see more videos about Oathsworn....you did very good explanations about it!!!
Thanks so much! The prototype only has the first Chapter included so there isn’t anything left to cover at this point! ;D
On October 29. Infinity Defiance will start :) Its a Dungeon Crawler set in the Universe from Tabletop Game Infinity
Ooo! Very cool! :)
Your insights for oathsworn is really helpful thx
Great to hear that! Happy it helped you out :)
Thanks Adam, your video is really helpful, Time of Legends: Destininies looks really interesting.

Well I backed the Joan if Arc core box and Teutonic knights expansion and Destinies but am very tempted by oathsworn too
So many tough choices right now!

Sometimes that’s the best choice!

Hello Derrick! That would be a fun idea. Any make any promises but something worth considering. Thanks for the feedback!
Heroes & Gods: The Master of Dreams, looks very interesting.
Thanks for letting me know about that one. I’ll take a look.
Honestly, you could totally spoil the first chapter and I'd have forgotten all about it by the time this comes out :)
I can understand that! ;)
That’s worked for me with videos as well but not always.
@@RollingSolo I plan on pre-painting all of the secret miniatures (as I did with Gloomhaven), since I'm so good at forgetting.
haha You don’t want to paint as you unlock the boxes?

Hey! If you’re interested in seeing the Narrative or Encounter I’ve got videos for both on the channel that should help you see it in action! :)
It’s fun enough standalone as it does lead into the encounter and give you the why but there are gameplay elements in the narrative portion as well!

Check Rahdo's runthrough of Hunted, he plays mining colony 415, plays nice
Very cool! Thanks for watching Adam :)
