Clearly a lovely fit watching you pull in that bush. Very satisfying
It is nice when things go according to plan 👍👍
Hi... what oil are you using to bed the cam In, a running in oil or just a good quality 20/50 with zddp
Hi Ross. Sorry to bother you - I’ve just fired up a 1275 marina on a stand - fresh build. Set lambda and revs but couldn’t get to 20 mins as temperature soared. I have a radiator and electric fan fitted / new water pump. Do you have any ideas how to keep things cool on the stand? Thanks in advance from New Zealand 🇳🇿 Todd
Hi there, temperature should be easily maintained on the test rig, however it's no issue to do the procedure in 2 stints often minutes if needed. But sounds like there may be some cooling issues to contend with. How were you monitoring the temperature ?
@ thanks for responding Ross. I’m using a cheap temp gauge from Temu that I tested in a kettle (it read correctly at boiling). I had boil over after the first run. Installed a large industrial fan in front of the whole setup a day later and although temp soared on the gauge had no boil over. I’ve finished the cam break in so I’ll get it back in the a40 and see what happens during run-in. Thanks again for the amazingly useful video content - you do excellent work at Thomas. 🙏
