Seems like I see incidents like this more often here lately. Hell I saw a vid earlier of a 16 year old boy shooting at a 12 year old girl for making fun of his brother. She was holding her infant brother when the boy opened fire. She ran to her house but when her mom opened the door she caught a stray round in leg. Luckily the kids are alive and unharmed and the mother is expected to make a speedy recovery. I feel the need to tell everyone reading this to keep your head on a swivel at all times when in public nowadays. People are fucking insane.
This was not some completely random attack by a crazy person with mental health issues. Crazy people with mental health issues don’t drive nice trucks and use expensive guns. Somebody wants this guy dead for a reason. The shooter in the video likely knows him or was hired by someone who knows him.

Even a few select cities in US can get pretty rough if you are the wrong color for the neighborhood. Laws are making it so you cant protect yourself, or deal with people that threaten you, or your property. Look at history, all the wars people have went to over… nothing. WW1 is a great example of that, Vietnam lots of horror stories out of that. Japan sent in people to kill themselves in airplanes. US nuked them. You have people in charge of places forcing their religious wills onto others making those beliefs law. Humans on average have a poor track record of being good, or even just leaving each other alone.

When I was 13, living in a "normal" suburb of Houston, a man was attempting to change his flat tire at the end of our street. My uncle was on his way to our house for dinner, noticed the man with the bum tire along the way, got to us, briefly poked his head into the door, and said, "there's a guy up the road with a bum tire, (while he grabbed some tools from the garage), I'm gonna walk back down and help him out." Within a couple minutes, my uncle came Sprinting down our street yelling at us to "call 911!!! He's dead." We were all so confused. A flat tire?? Someone is dead?? I just called 911 without much to offer, as it happened about 5+ houses down from our house. I gave My own address, and said that someone is dead. After explaining what I knew, I was asked "Who did your uncle shoot?" That led to More confusion. The young man (I believe he was 19, of I remember correctly), was knelt down, attempting to remove the bad tire (when my uncle saw him, and said "let me go tell my family I need some tools, and I'll come back and help you." As soon as my uncle was approaching the man/vehicle - with a jack and 4-way - another driver slowed to a stop (causing my uncle to assume they were attempting to help), when a backseat passenger casually stepped out of the SUV, and shot the guy in the back of the head. Execution-style, before re-entering the SUV as it sped away. My uncle had to show up for multiple depositions, pick the shooter out of a line-up, as well as having to testify against the suspect/defendant/murderer in open court. He lost several days of work, and was not upset about lost wages. He legit Wanted to Show Up to help bring justice to the family of the shot kid. In all honesty, he has Never been "the same/himself" ever since. He Still (25ish years later) wishes he had initially stopped before coming to our house. Life can be just as ugly as it can be beautiful. What was odd to me, was that the victim was black and my uncle is white. The news reports made a Huge deal out of the fact that "a white man risked his life attempting to render aid to a black man"...No one was standing behind that style of reporting. My uncle was disgusted by it. He was a human, attempting to help a human. The races of the victim and the regular citizen was NOT an important part of any of it. I learned A LOT that day.

I know my situation is nothing compared to this, but my girlfriend and I were walking one afternoon a few blocks from my neighborhood when a car drove by and threw a large rock at my head. Fortunately, I had on a rain jacket with a hood (as it had sprinkled earlier), and my friend had no idea I’d been hit until I screamed. The car sped off. If I’d not had on the hood, I would have been severely injured. The car was only about 5 ft away from me. There are evil people out there.

I drove into a local Vons recently and a young Hispanic man ran up to my car, waiving at me to roll down my window. I initially thought he was flagging me down for some benign reason but as soon as I rolled my window down,, he said, "Do you remember me?" I said no and he instantly realized I was the wrong person. He clearly had a beef with someone and had the gall to call me out. I don't know what his intentions were but I'm glad he quickly realized I was the wrong person. People are insane.
I once had someone tell me that he had a grudge against after 10 years. After I explained what happened, he realized I never intended him any harm. He could have approached me the next day and cleared that up but because of his pride, he carried that anger for over 10 years

He never got in trouble because the change wasn't documented and that was why I wasn't aware of it at the time. that's Albuquerque for you. I lived there 4 years and was warned never to be out on the sidewalk walking as the nutcases like to play a game of hit the person walking. The gunplay is new. I left town soon after witnessing a young girl killed and her sister injured by one of the nutcases in a pickup. worst night ever. Beautiful scenery, full of crazies.
I live in Albuquerque and have for over 20 years. My teenage daughters have almost been abducted walking home and my mom was harassed and nearly assaulted at a bus stop. A man who saw what was happening just in time helped my mother. I stopped running outdoors in my 20’s because it just wasn’t safe for me.😞
That's very unfortunate. With evil men and women out there you have to be ready and willing to defend yourself. Keep that cardio up, learn to to use a knife and a gun, learn to break a few weak joints on the body, and don't be afraid to get your claws into their eyes, bite the neck or wrist like a rabid animal or rip of an ear. I was talking to my daughter and son today about how they can't feel bad if they hurt an evil person trying to hurt them. I walk around albuquerque all the time so this story is especially scary to me since something similar happened to me, a few years back a car coming about a block behind me started shooting and I ran into a dark field (it was nighttime) and the car pulled up and a guy got out of the car and walked into the field looking for me but thankfully I knew about a hidden hole in the fence on the other side of the field and was able to get away. People are crazy out here

You dont have to go overseas to war to develop PTSD, this shit will give you all the PTSD you can handle. Even bad car accidents, or multiple minor car accidents can cause ptsd. Everyone needs to look out for one another, even if youre a neighbor, ask your neighbors how theyre doin and if everything is ok in their lives. Who knows, you may just say someone from going down a truly dark path.
Sadly even if the attacker gets caught, attempted murder often gets a slap on the wrist. We should treat failed attempts at murder the same as succeeding at murder.

Happened to a friend of mine in Los Angeles. He was wearing a watch and I guess they wanted it. They hit him with the car, sent him flying, he picked himself up drew his firearm and fired off a few shots. He was able to run away, still has nerve damage in his arm

My wife and I were walking around downtown Albuquerque. We were crossing the street on foot, some random teenager leaned out of a car window and said to us that he was going to f-ing shoot us.. for absolutely no reason whatsoever. Scary. Needless to say we got back on the road and got the f*** out of there
The dude who was shooting even picked up the shell, so he's a bit calculated. Probably done this before, and just mingling with the rest of society seemingly a decent citizen. I get the feeling that there are lots of folks just bubbling and itching to take a life. They got so much anger and hatred, and plus owning the great equalizer gives these cowards a sense of power they would lack without it.

When a citizen is not able to walk down a sidewalk in the middle of the day without fear of death, it is more than a safety issue. It is a Constitutional issue. A right to live issue.

My 22 yr old son walks a lot so does my daughter. I worry about my son as he will hike between cities, too. Yes, he has a car (parks it at my home and off he goes) but loves walking and the adventure. I worry. Someone could decide just because I guess, to take your or child's life as if you were a fly. I have a hard time believing this is completely random. There has to be a backstory here. Why would a guy drive up onto the sidewalk, hit someone with their vehicle, and then immediately start shooting with a long gun, which just so happened to be at the ready in the vehicle? And a "daily cardio walk" in jeans and no shirt? The gunman stops, picks something up, and turns and walks away? Yeah, this doesn't pass the sniff test.

This is scary, there's so much turmoil and contempt for society going on out there and I'm so glad this man got away. I saw surveillance footage several years ago at a gas station, some guy at the gas pumps flipped out and started chasing people filling their cars up around the pumps with an ax, this guy just flipped out, nobody got hurt but still, you just never know anymore.
Unfortunately it seems we NEED to be armed nowadays. Generally these attacks are ambushes but, even if they get the first shot (any type) we need to be able to fight back. Running worked out fir this guy but I need more options.

When I was 13, living in a "normal" suburb of Houston, a man was attempting to change his flat tire at the end of our street.
My uncle was on his way to our house for dinner, noticed the man with the bum tire along the way, got to us, briefly poked his head into the door, and said, "there's a guy up the road with a bum tire, (while he grabbed some tools from the garage), I'm gonna walk back down and help him out."
Within a couple minutes, my uncle came Sprinting down our street yelling at us to "call 911!!! He's dead."
We were all so confused.

I just called 911 without much to offer, as it happened about 5+ houses down from our house.
I gave My own address, and said that someone is dead. After explaining what I knew, I was asked "Who did your uncle shoot?"
That led to More confusion.
The young man (I believe he was 19, of I remember correctly), was knelt down, attempting to remove the bad tire (when my uncle saw him, and said "let me go tell my family I need some tools, and I'll come back and help you."
As soon as my uncle was approaching the man/vehicle - with a jack and 4-way - another driver slowed to a stop (causing my uncle to assume they were attempting to help), when a backseat passenger casually stepped out of the SUV, and shot the guy in the back of the head. Execution-style, before re-entering the SUV as it sped away.
My uncle had to show up for multiple depositions, pick the shooter out of a line-up, as well as having to testify against the suspect/defendant/murderer in open court. He lost several days of work, and was not upset about lost wages. He legit Wanted to Show Up to help bring justice to the family of the shot kid.
In all honesty, he has Never been "the same/himself" ever since.
He Still (25ish years later) wishes he had initially stopped before coming to our house.

What was odd to me, was that the victim was black and my uncle is white. The news reports made a Huge deal out of the fact that "a white man risked his life attempting to render aid to a black man"...No one was standing behind that style of reporting.
My uncle was disgusted by it.
He was a human, attempting to help a human. The races of the victim and the regular citizen was NOT an important part of any of it.

I know my situation is nothing compared to this, but my girlfriend and I were walking one afternoon a few blocks from my neighborhood when a car drove by and threw a large rock at my head. Fortunately, I had on a rain jacket with a hood (as it had sprinkled earlier), and my friend had no idea I’d been hit until I screamed. The car sped off. If I’d not had on the hood, I would have been severely injured. The car was only about 5 ft away from me. There are evil people out there.

I walk around albuquerque all the time so this story is especially scary to me since something similar happened to me, a few years back a car coming about a block behind me started shooting and I ran into a dark field (it was nighttime) and the car pulled up and a guy got out of the car and walked into the field looking for me but thankfully I knew about a hidden hole in the fence on the other side of the field and was able to get away. People are crazy out here

Human existence is full of horror and human lives have never been as safe and trauma free as they are today so either minds are considerably weaker than they have ever been or the last 3000 years of humanity mostly lived with PTSD without the need to be coddled.
So glad this guy survived this. And I am glad that I moved out of Albuquerque two months ago and live in a state on the east coast now out in the country. I feel very safe where I live now, but in the 8 years I lived in Albuquerque, I never really felt safe. I hope they catch this guy and put him away.
There's a lot I like about ABQ but there's just too much crime, violence and weirdness out there. I left a couple years after getting my apartment burglarized and being attacked by a drunk at work. It's just not worth dealing with that shit.

You dont have to go overseas to war to develop PTSD, this shit will give you all the PTSD you can handle. Even bad car accidents, or multiple minor car accidents can cause ptsd. Everyone needs to look out for one another, even if youre a neighbor, ask your neighbors how theyre doin and if everything is ok in their lives. Who knows, you may just say someone from going down a truly dark path.

I wouldn’t give them money. I scream for help and no one helped me. I took my heels off and ran around in the parking lot and they kept chasing me. I finally made it to my car and they tried to open it, cussed at me, kicked my door in and I drove off. I felt so disrespected and scared, like I was a rabbit to them.. my stomach hurt so badly from fear as I drove home.

Happened to a friend of mine in Los Angeles. He was wearing a watch and I guess they wanted it. They hit him with the car, sent him flying, he picked himself up drew his firearm and fired off a few shots. He was able to run away, still has nerve damage in his arm

I really hope the police don't blow this one off or put it on the back burner because my guess he will do this again and the next person may not be as lucky. Also, i hope they went back and found the spent shell casing to see if the gun had been used a in any other crimes.

My wife and I were walking around downtown Albuquerque. We were crossing the street on foot, some random teenager leaned out of a car window and said to us that he was going to f-ing shoot us.. for absolutely no reason whatsoever. Scary. Needless to say we got back on the road and got the f*** out of there

Murder was the obvious plan, and judging by the weapon used, any others nearby would have also been shot. This one calls for a US Marshals warrant and no bond after that. When a citizen is not able to walk down a sidewalk in the middle of the day without fear of death, it is more than a safety issue. It is a Constitutional issue. A right to live issue.

I have a hard time believing this is completely random. There has to be a backstory here. Why would a guy drive up onto the sidewalk, hit someone with their vehicle, and then immediately start shooting with a long gun, which just so happened to be at the ready in the vehicle? And a "daily cardio walk" in jeans and no shirt? The gunman stops, picks something up, and turns and walks away? Yeah, this doesn't pass the sniff test.

This is scary, there's so much turmoil and contempt for society going on out there and I'm so glad this man got away. I saw surveillance footage several years ago at a gas station, some guy at the gas pumps flipped out and started chasing people filling their cars up around the pumps with an ax, this guy just flipped out, nobody got hurt but still, you just never know anymore.
Unfortunately it seems we NEED to be armed nowadays. Generally these attacks are ambushes but, even if they get the first shot (any type) we need to be able to fight back. Running worked out fir this guy but I need more options.
