@@themc2806 So it was quite a while ago now but from what I remember I never properly wired the seats in. However they did have manual adjustment already which meant I never had any issues moving them to the correct position.
Hi Chris, cheers for getting in touch! So for the side panels I believe I bought 2x2m rolls (one for each side). Then I most likely would have bought another 2x2m to carpet the roof panel as well. Any excess I would have then used to carpet the bulk head pillars. Hope that helps! 👍🏼
Hi Andrew, yeh I think there is a way of changing the glove box, it’s not something I’ve looked into though! The 2L 6speed versions are relatively hard to find as well. Only seen a couple on Autotrader at the moment 👍🏼
@@refinedfilms. Yes I only have a Volkswagen golf with the same engine as yours 2 L 140 brake six speed but fortunately need a van to use as a day van and also to put my bike in
@@andrewholton5317 Ahhh nice! I'm actually selling my van at the moment. Definitely worth looking at a Caddy as they do work well as a daily vehicle 👍🏼
Hi Lee, cheers for getting in touch! I’ll be honest it was a little while ago now so my knowledge might not be 100% sorry! Just checked EBay though and it looks like I ordered a 4x2m roll of 4 way stretch carpet for the rear 👍🏼
Hi, yeh unfortunately I do seem to get error codes from the LED's. I think it's only the rear number plates ones though that seem to have the issue. I've not been able to solve the problem yet though 👎🏼
I'm looking at buying a VW Caddy Maxi as my main car (in order to afford it). Just wondering what your approximate mileage is, as you mentioned you chose the Micro based on this...?
Hi Ishmael thank you for getting in touch! So I bought my Caddy with 54000 miles on it and it’s currently on around 85000. I do roughly 20000 mile a year and tend to get around 45-50 mpg on average. Hope that helps! Let me know if you have anymore questions
@@refinedfilms. Hi Jake, Thanks for your response. We have agreed to buy the Maxi, but luckily I don't think I will be reaching that amount of mileage annually. Really helpful to know anyway. Thanks, Ishmay
@@marinadisibio3839 Thank you! So I'm roughly 5ft 8. I can sleep flat with the seats in their normal position. If you move the seats forward it would probably be big enough for someone 6ft. Hope this helps!
You spent a lot of time on this video and the Van. I have a 2007 model that I am tweeking. Yours look great. Thank you.
Thank you very much Karen! I appreciate the feedback 🙌🏼
What a cracking video. Cheers buddy
Ahh thank you! No problem 🙌🏼
What a cracking truly honest and very informative video Jake.
Great job👍😎😎
Ahh thank you very much Paul! 🙌🏼
Quick question… how did you convert the electric seats to manual ?

Love the little storage places, will be putting that in my caddy as well
Ahh cheers, yeh they're super handy!
Great video thanks buddy 👍🏻👍🏻

@@chrisflanagan1050 No worries Chris! Thank you very much 👍🏼
What is the ideal maximum height to sleep comfortably in this van?
Can you change the clock box to one with a door on it is it also very rare to get a 2 L diesel version

Hi, does this count under normal van insurance or do you have to get camper insurance?
I’ll be honest when I had the van I just kept under normal insurance. I’m not 100% sure what the requirements are for camper insurance.

Recycled bottle for isolation ?
Yep thats the one I used. I managed to go through at least 4 rolls of the stuff!

What do you sleep on in the back of the van out of interest?
I have a similar set up in mine at present
Ahh awesome! So I currently use a sleeping mat from Alpkit (I think it's called a 'dirtbag'). Then just a regular pillow.
@@refinedfilms. Fantastic video! Can I ask you how tall are you? do you fit well sleeping in the back or do you have to bend your knees to sleep?
