If anyone wants to enhance the quality of these old albums get FxSound. Put settings to Movie. Then adjust to Clarity 5, Ambience 0, Surround Sound 4, Dynamic Boost 7 and Bass Boost 4. You can additionally adjust the wheels to tune it. You get insanely high quality sound though with this.
i feel you, seeing 2000s bands like these is so sad considering we'll never see them live unless they blow up on the internet enough for a comeback. i would've went to go see them I didn't happen to be negative 6 years old
This band randomly popped into my mind late last night for no reason. Glad I found this. Remembered the songs all over again, the memories aren't lost. Thank you for preserving this.
what kind of question is that, if i still have this its for a reason. I was fortunate to see these guys a handful of times their live set was just incredible
Your channel is a little trip down memory lane... crazy. I was good friends with Kevin from ELA, and was in another band with Kevin as well as Derek from Tears of Avarel. I remember most of the ddudes in the other things you've uploaded to this channeI. wouldn't be surprised if we knew each other
RoastMcGhost yea i was around before and after kevin and a few others moved to Beverley and started all these bands. I was friends with tyler( farewell chapter) i have the enclitic demo iranach split since the flood etc. I just wanted to upload all the New England bands from that time. I got a little lazy though but i will be adding more if you have anything please send. Im sure we do know eachother im from salem ma but hit up all the shows from merimack valley to CT RI. It was a great time for local music now theres not much at all plus were a little older so ya know its good memories
I don't really have much to speak of, just a few odd patches, and a handful of our 7" stored away somewhere. I don't even think I have the demo! Yeah I knew the Farewell Chapter kids by way of Derek and all them, I was not super close with that particular group of friends, but we all ran in similar circles. Near the end of the enclitic we actually had Brain (friend of tyler?) doing the screaming, taking this kid Josh's place. I always thought all those Beverly/Salem dudes were very cool. I was, and still am, very impressed with the amoutn of noise and violence The Farewell Chapter could make, very nice band. We played our first show with The Farewell Chapter at the Art Space that (allegedly) got it shut down. Who knows though, its all legend and lore at this point. The wierd thing is that show only happened last minute because we were on the bill to play in Taunton but arrived late and they wouldn't let us play. I also played with some dudes from my town in a band called Between Two Thieves (later just Thieves) and while the material was very good, I was very proud of it, we could never really get it together, and only played a small handful of shows, usually along with The Enclitic, so I was doing double duty some nights :) Crazy how things change, Derek is out in Cali making skateboards and in a shoegaze band, I run into our drummer (jeff) at the supermarket sometimes, I have no idea what Kevin is up to, and I'm not doing music at all anymore. Those were good times man, a very magical time in this area for DIY shows and all that, it's a sad thing that its over, but I'm so happy to have been part of it in some ways. Best times of my life!
RoastMcGhost you guys did a 7in what label period? same as farewell and my life with her ghost? and is it with brian on vocals? i only have the cd demo i also have a few patches and one back patch and a few eyes like autumn i never used just kept them. Sounds more like second wave black metal than metalcore, but I guess "metalcore" wasn't always the same.
Blackened metalcore is a thing. Check out old underOATH with the singer Dallas Taylor. Specifically their album Cries of the Past
