The mythology always reflect the mentality and ideology of the society that the mythologies originates. Floods are regular occurrence in China, even to these days until they had to build various huge damns to control them. Even so, many Racist Sinophobic TH-camrs constantly put out video claiming those damns will collapse etc. The whole Chinese civilization depended on floods to revitalize the fertile soil for their mostly subsistence agricultural civilization to thrive. But their mentality is to control the floods for the benefit of everybody. But the western self centered ideology was to save yourself and your close ones, but leave everybody to drown. The Noah mythology obviously did not happened as if it did, the thriving Chinese civilization at that same time would have been wiped out apart from Noah's only family, according to that myth.

Why can't Noah's myth happen alongside Da Yu's story? To Noah, the entire world probably meant the entire Sumerian land/Israel land (wherever the myth said he originated from), and to Da Yu, the entire world probably meant the central plains of ancient China. Honestly, they are so far apart geographically that they could do whatever they did respectively at the same time, and it would not have affected the other.

@@LeongGunners If it's only a localized flood, than it would be highly possible. But that is not what the gospel claimed, the gospel reflects the words of god. How could a god who created the universe from nothing not know of the Chinese civilization? If this god sent a flood that drowned all of humanity on earth, but didn't know of the Chinese civilization that was thriving at that same time, than I am at a lost for words...or it simply means there is no god and it's all a myth.

That’s not how the story of Noah went. It’s recorded in the Bible. Noah built the ark by direction of God and was told, more or less, to invite everyone on board. He was mocked because no one believed that a flood was actually coming. He was viewed as a crazed man, so no one got on the ark despite his invitations. He wasn’t told to just save his family, the others just didn’t have faith in his words and it led to their own demise.
Do you really think anything other than a boat could have saved ALL of them from a flood that was so high they didn’t even see land for almost a year? Can’t force people onto a boat.

There might be real archaeological evidences of the 2 floods mentioned in this video. Noah's flood was probably the flooding of the Black Sea about 7000 years ago. At that time Black Seas was a fresh water lake a couple of hundred feet below the sea level just like the Caspian Sea is today. There were human settlements along the shores of this lake when the Bosporus was breached because of the rise in sea level due to global warming. The Mediterranean Sea poured in like a huge waterfall and created the Black Sea we have today. People who survived this flooding passed on their memories which were subsequently picked up first by Gilgamesh's epics and then by the Bible. China's great flood(s) happened probably due to the break up of a natural dam caused by a landslide which plugged the Yellow River, thus creating a large lake. Archaeologists found evidence of this prehistoric lake which lapsed the shores where stone age settlements were found. Another hypothesis is when an even larger lake covering the entire Wei River flood plane in Shaanxi Province breached its shores at the present day Sanmenxia in the Henan Province, creating an even bigger flood. Memories of these floods passed on as folklores, mythical tales and what not.

In fact, I do not think that Yu the Great's flood control is a mythic story, for China, we still have historical traces left by Yu the Great's flood control. This proves that a leader really known as Yu the Great led the ancestors of the Chinese people at that time to control the flood by dredging waterways and digging canals. This also left a profound influence on the historical dynasties that followed. Many monarchs inherited the spirit of the Great Yu to control the flood, and many water conservancy projects were excavated in successive dynasties to benefit the people.

The "four mountains" actually represent other tribes. Often in Chinese mythological stories, a single person can be understood as representing an entire tribe. For example, the story of Nüwa patching up the sky could potentially symbolize a matriarchal tribe called Wa repairing the dams after Yu's flood control efforts.

It is easily explained. Every society has experienced flooding. Societies built around water since we need it to live and survive. Flooding happens. Sometimes it is catastrophic. Early people also had beliefs in gods as a way of explaining things they didn't understand. Were does the sun go at night? Oh! There must be a sun god who carries it in his chariot across the sky. His name is Apollo. So, a catastrophic flood happens. It evolves into a story about an angry or protective god. Imagine if primitive humans experienced the flooding from hurricane Katrina. They would likely have attributed it to an angry god.

While at the same time, Chinese ancestors were survived thanks to Yao and Shun effort to save the people. So today, if there is some Jews or Christians who tell you that everybody are the descendant of Noah, Chinese can say NO. Because they were survived the big flood.

The Chinese flood story mentioned in this video is originaly not a Chinese story.
The flood myth that is mistaken for a Chinese myth is the same one found on "Baekdu Mountain" on the border of Korea and Manchuria.
The Baekdu Mountain story features a goddess with the half of a snake, which is mistaken for a Chinese deity, and she saved humanity from a flood. Because of this, the Koreans, Manchus, and Jurchen held Baekdu Mountain sacred.
On the other hand, if you look the Chinese genealogy, Chinese ancestors were archers+cannibals, so cannibalistic traits often appear in Chinese culture due to ancestral traditions. The Chinese are also descended from archers who killed snake god and bird god, so they worship the symbols of the bow with man. However, if you mention that the myths of people who were killed by the Chinese are "Chinese myths," that's an abhorrent phenomenon. The peoples whose traditions and symbols were taken from them by the Chinese will cur_se your falsehood or mistaken.😢

      @@CureAwanoh argument? I like it :)
Historical manipulation facilitated the Chinese migration to the Korean Peninsula. The six surnames of Gojoseon(first country according to mordern Korean, but actually Chinese) correspond to the surnames of royalty, officials, and generals of the Tang Dynasty(唐朝).
According to the 'Samguk Sagi(三國史記; KOR ancient history book re-written by Chinese immigrant)', the six surnames of Gojoseon were Rhee(李氏), Choi(崔氏), Jeong(鄭氏), Son(孫氏), Bae(裵氏), and Seol(薛氏). The 'Samguk Yusa’ quotes 'Dangun Wangguam(壇君王儉)’ from the 'Book of Wei(魏書)’. However, there is no matching record in the 'Wei Book(魏書)’, the 'Wei Zhi(魏志)’, or the written 'Wei Xuan(魏略)’. The Wei Book(魏略), which someone brought to the Korean peninsula, has a record of "Dangun Wangguam", which shows that this was common knowledge on the Korean peninsula at the time.
Rhee(李氏) is a surname of the Tang emperor. The earliest record of the Rhee surname is from the 22nd year of Silla King Gyeongdeok(景德王)(763). Bae(裵氏) first appeared in 608 as the surname of an envoy sent by the Sui Dynasty to Japan.3) The Tang Dynasty's general to Silla was named 薛仁貴, the first Seol(薛氏) surname to appear in Korean-Japanese records.4) Son(孫氏) is a representative Tang Dynasty surname in the 'Son Goku' novels, which imitated 'Hanuman' from Buddhism in the context of the popularity of Tang Dynasty historical novel culture.5) These surnames are identical to the Sui-Tang(隋唐) period surnames of Chinese and do not appear in Korean-Japanese records for 700 years from the record of 32 CE in the Samguk Sagi.
So what do you think of the your ancester’s disgusting history?

So if it was a large flood, there would surely be many stories of it from different countries in the region. Why does Korea having a story about it mean the Chinese story is not valid? Both could exist and have truth to them at the same time, there is not conflict there.

@@learnchinesenow According to your argument, it's as if people of different ethnic consider the gods of other ethnic to be the same god.
Using the West as an example, it's like saying Cherubim is the same god as the goddess Aegis, or Enki is the same god as India Shiva, which is a pretty absurd argument.
As far as I know, 90% of Asians living in the West are Chinese(including those who lie themself about not being Chinese ethnic), so I understand that you n west usually contact with Chinese claims. However, it is wrong to stand by the misleaded Chinese claim.
If I were to use your West-to-East understanding, it would look like this:
In stupid East-to-West understanding, “Indo-Europeans are fakes who usurped the original Semitic mythology of monotheism”, “All Indo-Europeans are barbarians, and all mythology is Semitic in origin”,
Therefore, this is what you said, “the all asian origin is Chinese, but the PC way to say it is that the all non-distingishable asian ethnic’s stories are surely coexist(by west)”.

The reason he claimed that, is very simple. To try to convert the Chinese to christianity by assumed similarities. (christians also tried to insert the word Allah into the Malay version bible to establish perceived similarity and do the same to the Muslim Malays and Indonesians) i.e. see even your ancient written text prove the stories of the gospel, hence existence of Yahweh and addressed it as Shanti. So it shouldn't be a big deal for Chinese to accept Yahweh as your god and convert? But what he did not foresee is, if they are the same and the Chinese had realised Yahweh aka Shanti first, than why don't all the christians renounce their faith and return, adopt the Chinese faith as it's the original authentic one? But that would be the opposite to what they wanted i.e. the whole East to be subservient and in servitude to the West, in their quest for world control and domination, psychologically if not physically

H Kang and Ethel R. Nelson . All cultures seem to have this story embedded in them . The original Chinese belief before the three treasures is very much in harmony with the Noah and the Hebraic mindset .
Chi for example is often defined as the life in fresh cooked rice . Chaim is a popular Jewish toast " to life " and it's definition is usually a home cooked meal by Mama with the family around . We are all one family - Chaim ! .
The Yellow Emperor said the his learning came from some one who had come from the West . The legend is it was a son of Abraham who had sent some of his children East .
